It doesn't work on the OTA or Global versions. It would only work on one of the the older ICS leaks. I've been trying to port it over for myself but it's tricky.

Ok, well then I may be out of luck. Rats! I hoped it would work because I am 4.0.3 but it is global. I am attaching a screen shot so if anyone reviewing this thread has a solution for me, I'd appreciate it. Also, I have tried many many custom ROMs but ultimately went back to a more stock solution. For me, it is just more smooth and reliable. I like the bells and whistles but I don't enjoy the lagging and freezing that I often experience with most custom ROMs. Flyhalf205 thanks for the feedback!

Have you tried EclipticRez? I'm on that and it's really smooth and there's a lot of options.

Been using it for a while? I have tried many ROMs but they usually are just not as smooth as the stock HTC Sense versions. I am game to try another though! I really wish I could use one of Nils ROMs... I like the Sense 4 version but "for me," I get the lags and com-android not responding occasionally.

I've been on ecliptic for about a month now and haven't strayed from it. I've tried AOSP JB roms and they're awesome but I keep going back to eclipticrez. Smoother than stock in my opinion and battery life is amazing. Plus the tweaks are awesome. If you haven't tried it I'd highly recommend it.

Ok... that is the type of testimony that will get me to give it a try! Tell me please, what set of options to you choose when you flashed it? I have downloaded the latest version to try it. I see three kernels and something about Fsync, etc. Suggestions? I am looking for the smoothest daily driver... thanks!

[Q]Best Rom For EVO 3D CDMA

This is more of a question that will result in an answer that's an opinion. But I am wondering and completely open to ideas. I have used XPLOD and Eternity. But there's tons of Roms out there so I'm wondering which one would be good.
If you could please list the Rom a link and specifications.
Aka
XPLOD:[exampleXDAlink] 4G , WiFi ,3G, 3D , Bluetooth etc.
And a personal comment about the Rom. Thanks in advance

Exactly. You will find so many people that like Variable 'X' ROM, and other's that love Variable 'Y' ROM.
There are so many great ROMs out there. It's up to you when it comes to your favorite. Just try keep trying different ones until you find one that you love.
I love viperROM, MikRunny, InfectedROM Eternity, Warm TwoPointThree, MIUI. That's not every one of my favorites, but those are some.

I am about to do my first root and am looking for a ROM. I have learned that there are MANY different ROMs out there depending on what you want. Is there a known database of ROMs listing each of their attributes?
Thanks
AOSP PB9 from Deck. All working except Camera, 4G nad 3D. HW is about 90%, Wifi, 3G, BT, all is working very good. OC up to 1.94 ghz. Good ROM to try
Sense: inbREDed ROM is smooth and fast, MeanROM is another one. Both have all stuff working without problems. MeanROM is more stock look while inbREDed is a fully themed ROM, ledroid tweaks, 2 MPx in front forced. Also, OP is working on 1080p recording

The two ROMs I use:
Mean ROM: everything works. Uses the Ziggy kernel which is stable with great battery life. Very active dev (new release every few days) and very active user community. Has Beats working without the headphone hiss. This ROM looks mainly stock with some addons included or flashable.
Nocturnal Adrenaline: everything works. Uses the Anthrax kernel which is slightly worse on battery, but a little better in performance. Active dev (new releases about once every week or two) and active community of users. Less stock look since Leedroid tweaks are built in and some of the widgets and apps are inverted.
I flashed version a 2.2 ZR3D rom and it is great. Really sped my phone up!

IT does look tempting to flash :/... Btw I heard someone say that you could flash roms quickly with something-boot . You can just switch out roms easily, I forgot the name. I'll tell you if I remember

X2. I am not new to rooting, but just recently finally rooted my Evo3D. Tried several different ROMs. I found that Mean ROM was very stable, very quick and snappy, everything works, and very active dev, as stated before. Many that use Mean are changing to the Anthrax kernel to go even faster, but the Ziggy kernel that comes stock on the ROM works great, and is a huge improvement over stock.
I AM looking forward to an ICS ROM that has everything working. Every time I try a ROM with something as a know issue not working, I think it will be no big deal to do without. Then I find that is the feature I miss the most. So I choose to stay with fully functional ROMs. Just my opinion...

Try looking at the development section. If you want sense I'd recommend viperrez. I if you don't then use neomax. Also the cm9 and aokp roms are awesome but they are beta not completely working yet

Depends on if you like sense or de-sensed roms.
For sense I like CONROM and the OTA ICS plus rom from micromod777.
For de-sensed I like both of Neo's roms (fast as hell) or CONROM with the desense option in aroma installer.

For some reason I experienced a lot of lagginess with neos roms although I liked them a lot so I switched back to ViperRez I know benchmarks mean nothing but I couldn't break 5000 with neomax (antutu) and on viperrez I get a constant 6800 :what:

Big fan of Neo's latest Adrenaline here, including battery life, it also appears smoother than 1.6 and below but it does appear to be more sluggish than Venom. Having said that however my battery life with the Venom rom was horrible and my phone heated up a lot..never have the latter issue with Neo's rom or Nils' Business Sense 3.6 v5.7 rom for that matter (highly recommend giving that a shot too)
I highly recommend using ElipticRez by hawknest

and i now bring you PAC 4.4.2 which so far has no major issues that i could find...there is a few things you can do to improve your battery life...but some cause slight decrease in perforance...partially why the rez isnt my main device anymore either...but it isnt stopping me from leaving its further developement anytime soon...ill stay with it till it simply cant work at all anymore
If you really like Sense, and don't care that is still ICS, consider EclipticRez ReVamped v9... it is rock solid and battery life is respectable to great for the Rezound. It has always been my go to ROM for the Rezound when I get frustrated with the little things about KitKat that plague the Rezound
That being said, I heard the @REV3NT3CH found a solution to the camcorder problem in KitKat on the Rez?!?!? WTG bro!!! The final major hurdle has been overcome!!!

GSM ROM?
Not sure if I should start a new thread or add to this one.... I'd appreciate any recommendations on the best ROM to use would be on the Rezound with AT&T. I'm currently on Neo's Tachyon 1.2 and I like it a lot, but when I've tried it with a GSM SIM previously I couldn't get outgoing SMS to work.
Thanks!
non sense:

everything but camcorder works.
battery is pretty good especially considering how much tethering i do.

[Q] Giving up on ICS

Was gonna wait for the official ICS update for the thunderbolt but after 4months and numerous rumors not panning out im going to root and flash a rom any suggestions for the best daily driver ????
But browsing and reading up a little but still confused on whats available??? Would love to try jelly bean but i can settle for ICS
Battery life, speed and stability are the important points for a daily driver
Whats you suggestions????
I know I'm gonna regret it as soon as i root and flash the official update will probably come out but i remember when i first rooted my OG droid I never went back so what you guys suggest??? also next upgrade will probably be taking the nexus 4 to straight talk but wanna get a few more months out of my Thunderbolt u would think HTC would want to keep the customers that run out and bought the first 4G device but i guess all they really care about is our money.

If you're looking for an ICS build there really is no amazing one yet, but Liquid's is the best you will find with Nusense a close second. My personal recommendation for a daily driver though is Thundershed, or any of the roms from reds. I am running ikream nosense and enjoy it a bit. There is also the sense based offering of it both are pretty nice. Depending on what rom you go with there are kernels and things like that to pick up from there.
If you want something bug free i recommend Skyraider zeus 1.3. Thats what im using with the lean kernel. Its very smooth. Plus there is a sweet ics theme for it. Throw in halo launcher aswell and you pretty much have the complete look and feel of ics and bug free. Everything works perfect on this rom

As was I. I just assumed my phone had aids though since it sees to work quite well for a lot of users
Proving again that all Thunderbolts are different, don't know why, but each responds differently to different ROMS.
To the OP, remember! Flashing is cheap, don't hesitate to try several ROMs before deciding on one you like.
I lean toward the NuSense but battery life isn't quite what I need... <sigh>
Another hearty recommendation for SkyRaider 1.3.
I've been evaluating lots of other ROMs and radio combos. Nothing has been as solid a daily driver as SkyRaider Zeus.
I'm really working at using Twisted's AOKP ICS, but my Bolt doesn't love it. I keep getting data hangs, and have to reset the radios via Airplane mode off/on.
And the leaked Sense ICS was way too battery hungry for me.

LiquidSmooth 3.2:good: with the .19 radio. It has been my daily driver for almost a year now. Way better than any current ICS rom for the mecha. No problems, everything works. And it all works plenty fast enough.
If you really want a solid ROM with everything working great, Sky Raider is excellent. Especially since I like having a good camera and video camera. Nice to have everything work perfectly. I love AOSP, it is very fast, but you don't get the same functionality (dont get me wrong it is very close, but small things like camera are just not quite as good) you do with Sense. I hate sense but skyraider really is a great ROM

I sent you a private message with the link. Not sure if I am allowed to post it in the forum. If anyone else needs it just PM me.
You should check out Twisted's new rom. I haven't had any problems with it and it's the smoothest rom I've had in awhile.
So can anyone give me a rundown on the differences on these ROM's? I've seen Liquid 3.2, Thundershed, and Skyraider mentioned here. Which are Sense based and which are AOSP. Are the Sense based Rom's laggy? I've tried NuSense, and it was a nice ROM, but just too laggy for my taste. I've tried Jesters and Twisted's 11-7 version of Liquids ICS ROM, and they've been great, but I'm having too many bluetooth issues which will interfere with work so it's a no go if I can't simply turn on the bluetooth and let it connect.
I understand flashing is supposed to be quick and easy so just try them all, but it seems to take me several hours to get everything backed up, flashed, and put back the way I like it. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I have only used LiquidSmooth 3.2. It is a Gingerbread AOSP. Any Sense ROM tends to be very laggy on either of my Thunderbolts. And all of the ICS ROM's seem to have at least one problem or another that keeps it from being my daily driver(bluetooth, wifi, camera or camcorder especially!)
It all depends on what you can and can't live without on a DD. Most of the Gingerbread ROMS's shouldn't have many, if any, issues. Some may be slightly slower than others and look different but all should make a good DD. The current ICS ROM's for the mecha are extremely fast, but usually lack in the camcorder or wifi department.
This thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1905083 has most of the ROM's linked(except LiquidSmooth3.2 Not sure why all the links to it were removed, Liquid is the Man tho and gotta respect his decision)

I found basically all sense roms to be laggy except for Skyraider. I'd recommend it to anyone.

[Q] Whats the most complete Rom for the Evo LTE?

I know that the best ROM would be based on personal preference. What I'm looking for is the most fully functional ROM. I've been trying different ROMs but I work so much I don't have the time I used to. Any insight is welcome and greatly appreciated.

Roms
In my humble opinion, if your talking about the most features it would be the Charmaleon ROM, your able to theme quite a few things because of a tweak add-on he has in the rom. It's on the third page of ROM developement.

Haha just a little welcome humor. ViperROM is pretty customizable.

I'll second ViperRom or MeanROM, if you're looking at ICS ROM's. With JB ROM's the verdict is still out, but Viper's base JB ROM works pretty well, as does MeanBean (the ROM I'm currently running). Not to say these are by any means the best, just a handful of the few I've tried since coming to the EVO LTE. It's all subjective, really, since what's best for one user may not be best for another.

Cool. I think I tried it in the beginning before I started this new job. That was back over the summer though. I'm sure it's probably different. I'll add it to the to do list. Thanks.

Thanks for the input. I want to stick with a JB ROM but I travel so much with my job to places with horrible reception or Hotels with no wi-fi and then I get fc's or I start to loose certain functions and I have to go back to an older ROM. I think I'm going to designate a memory card to keep a few good ROMs on when I travel to nip it. I haven't tried Viper's base. I think that'll be my next ROM.

I'll put a third vote in for the Mean series. I've tried MIUI and CM10 recently, but I always end up coming back to the beauty of Sense. The dev on MeanRom and MeanBean is very active and has made it very simple to update to his newest version with an OTA updater.
That said, I am currently checking out the rEVOLTEd rom, with JB. I was particularly interested in how the dev used the AOSP vanilla version of Recent Apps switcher rather than the Sense version... The camcorder is not currently working, but it should be fixed in the next version. Other than that, it seems to be running very well.
Overall, there really are some great options out there for JB and ICS Roms.
meanbean is where its at!!

I've tried revolted. Good rom but I had trouble with my GPS signal and I use navigation often for my job. I've seen Mean ROM a lot so I'm downloading Mean Bean and Vipers JB ROM. Thanks for your input.
Thanks
Just want to say thanks to everyone who gave their opinions and input in this thread. I flashed Mean Bean and loved it. Problem was I flashed it wrong. Didn't upgrade to 3.15 firmware first. In the process of trying to do that I bricked, fixed, unlocked/ unrooted, upgraded, unlocked, rooted, and finally reflashed Mean Bean. I haven't had this much fun in a long time. I've been so use to dropping roms on a sd and flashing I forgot one of the most important things about XDA. READ Instructions before flashing new roms. Thanks again to everyone who commented and gave advice. You helped me find exactly what I was looking for.

You Sir are absolutely correct. My favorite so far.
I tried both meanbean and stock w/ goodies and I really like the fluidity of meanbean. However, the battery life seemed like it was better on stock w/ goodies. I also used rom cleaner w/ the no-sense option on both of the roms so i'm not sure if that contributed to better speed or battery life. I decided to stick w/ meanbean! no fc or errors for me and everythings been running great!

Trickdroid vs android revolution hd

Hey everyone, I'm kind of new to flashing roms and I want to know which Rom works better on sense 5 on the HTC One. What advantages these two have?

Trickdroid has a lot of features, tweaks and so on, revolution is closer to stock. Both are great from what I hear. Just the devs may do different things. Flash both to see which you prefer

I tried android revolution hd and I love it. I think I'm gonna stick with it.
I've been running ARHD for the last couple days and I have to say that surprisingly enough, the AT&T stock ROM seems faster (as in: more responsive) to me.
Any other thoughts on this? I'd also like to add in the Renovate ROM to the discussion as well.
I'm running trickdroid and I like it much better. I have used ARHD as a daily driver too so my opinion comes with experience in both ROMs, it is still obviously an opinion, buy I prefer to customize and tweak my ROMs... You might as well stick to stock if you're gonna go with ARHD since it is just an optimised stock. If you're looking for custom, trickdroid is the way to go...

I've been running ARHD the past few hours, and so far I agree 100% with your views on it. It's a stable, responsive and clean ROM though.
I installed ARHD 7.1 today and the only niggle I have is that voice dialing on Bluetooth is not as good - different voice and different procedure.
I really like renovate. You download the ROM once on your phone and with any update, it just downloads the changed files. You can do all this on your phone. Have never seen anything like this before. It is not all automatic though, you have to enter some commands in terminal emulator. It also has NFC on when phone is off, so I don't have to turn the phone on to have it read tectiles.
so I have been using this ROM called Maximus7 5.0.0 for sense 5 and I absolutely love it. In my opinion it is the closest to stock ROM from the other Roms that I have tried out so far. It also let's you do OTA updates.

As I said... it is an OPTIMIZED stock. But nonetheless a stock experience. If customization is what someone is looking for, trickdroid is the way to go.

I agree. There are some updates in the newest International base that aren't in the AT&T stock base tho. That's what I meant mostly.

I'll agree, arhd is far better then stock. that's all I've been running. I've tried cleanrom and the rest of the international roms. I just keep coming back to arhd.

I have been using Maximus7 for a couple of weeks and honestly I can't tell the difference between ARHD and Maximus7 the only difference is that Maximus7 let's you do OTA updates and ARHD doesn't.

ARHD is solid and great battery wise for now till CM comes out.

I've been playing with the AT&T install of ARHD 9.0 for a few days (haven't had the chance to upgrade to 9.1 yet). My impression is that it's a bit faster than stock (not sure by how much, but feels "zippier" to me).
Overall, I'm pretty happy with the Sense UI so a ROM like this which provides a "fairly close to stock experience" was what I was looking for. It's not perfect (I understand that the WiFi password issue was fixed in 9.1 though), but it's very good. The only little thing that I haven't been able to find in 9.0 as of yet is the LinkedIn Blinkfeed connector... I know that Blinkfeed isn't something that everybody necessarily loves, but I do find it handy to have something to look at when waiting in line for a few minutes or even glancing at the screen when stopped at a red light. (Any suggestions on what I need to do to get the LinkedIn connector up and running again would be appreciated.)
Just out of curiousity, I also downloaded TrickDroid and have been waiting to try it out. Maybe I'll install that today and play around with it for a bit too, now that ARHD has set the standard for me and can be used as a point of reference.
