Ive fixed the issue i SBF'D back down to 2.3.4 and ZERGrush worked like a charm...
zerg does not work on system version 1.3.418
only magic md5 method does
and do not use zerg on 2.3.4 if you want to update to 2.3.5/1.3.418

I'm posting this for others who came across my experience of Zerg NOT working on 2.3.4 ...
In fact, I just had those same errors right after applying the 2.3.4 sbf. I was on 2.3.5 and I wanted to try the CM10, so I followed the directions until I got to Zerg, where it failed with those errors just like yours. (CM10: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1912280 ) :
I was able to continue onward, using Pete's one-click tool. The ver 1.08 link was 404, but the ver 1.07 did the trick. ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1315711 ) The filename is PetesMotorolaRootTools_v1.07.zip you can find it lower down on the original post. Since I was already at 2.3.4, I didn't attempt the magic md5 method.
By the way, CM10 seems to run far better than any stock VerizoMoto ROM ever did on this low-memory device. As long as you're flashing roms, I highly suggest to give this a try. -- Just don't foul up like I did. Make sure to get the correct google apps (4.1.2, not 4.2.2)
Moto has always been great at optimizing radio hardware, but they consistently suck awfully at software optimization. I have hopes for them, Moto Mobility having been acquired by The Google. But for this device, wow, CM and DragonZKiller really shine.
Cheers,
-- Nate

Is it possible? And, yes, it's Android 2.3.5 STOCK on International version of the Atrix.
The history behind that:
He was having issues with a rooted/modded atrix (battery wise) and he knew someone that work at motorola here in Brazil. He sent the Atrix to his friend and got back the same atrix back but with a stock 2.3.5 android installed. Now he is asking what to do to root it since all programs won't work (gingerbreak, for example) nor he is willing to install the AT&T SBF from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1182871 (specially cuz it can brick his device since it's a different device).

Your best bet would probably either pete's root tool or the thread that says "How to root any phone after SBF" located in the dev section. Use your search feature. The preinstall method involves basic ADB commands via a cmd line. Pete's is a 1 click option, some people are saying it works for any moto phone...
He will test it when he can.. I'll let you know.
Nop.. It didn't work.. It seems that 2.3.5 is different..
Any other ideas??
Does gingerbreak work? Just a thought.

Read OP again. He already said it doesn't work!
Assimilated via WinBorg 4G
No root method tested work..
- One Click
- GingerBreak
- SBF File (fastboot) from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15023022&postcount=2 (fastboot errors out)
So far, no method works for root..

what do you mean sbf file from the preinstall method? you're supposed to flash the preinstall.img in the second post, which can be downloaded by this link here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=652327&d=1310460219
then do 'fastboot flash preinstall preinstall.img' and then run the whole /preinstall/dosu commands in either adb shell or terminal emulator on your phone
Well, I've written it wrong.. Sorry 'bout that.
- Fastboot fails to install... Can't even install the preinstall.img file.. That's what I've meant.
As known by most of you, removing any "bloatware" by means of deletion, such as Bell bloatware, will make it so that you are not capable of updating to gingerbread.
I did not know this prior to deleting my .odex files and rooting, sadly.
I had a simple question, what am I to do in this kind of situation? I've read here to flash a stock SBF and update it from there, however, I'm a bit weary of flashing my device for risk of bricking it. (Bought off Craigslist...rooted = no warranty)\
Any ideas xdaders?
Oh and I just finished a factory reset.
are you on 2.3.x or 2.2?
2.2, froyo.
Motoblur.
(2.3 backwards sbf flashing would = a brick )
Flash a fruitcake?
You should just flash the newest sbf. And flash a new rom such as cm7 that would perform even better. After unlocking the bootloader just flash cwm and if you really wanted you could flash a stock carrier rom.

Nevermind, I get it.
Thank you freshlycutlawn, I'll look into flashing the newest sbf. This is relatively safe if all the procedures are followed, correct?
Yes, since you are on froyo pretty much all of the unlock sbf's will be newer and wont brick your phone, you only have to watch out for an older version. Other than that you should be good to go, let me know if you have any other questions especially since im on bell too. It was a bit more tricky to find all of the correct downloads and follow the right steps, but now i have done it and im sure the same way i did it would work for you. Best of luck.

That would be appreciated. I have been trying to find Bell files and other related information using the search function, but if you've already done that and are offering to help, might as well.
If you can private message me it, that'd be greatly appreciated.

You need a 2.3.6 nandroid. A moded rom will not allow you flash ICS later. I' not sure if you'll be able to setup ICS in a latam razr due diferent signatures.
Thanks

I don't think that will work, as you wil still be on 2.3.5 kernel, even with the nandroid. You will be on 2.3.6, and get your ICS installed, but BT will not work.
Is working for me! xD And i'm using CM9 GSM on my LATAM

Could you please tell us the exact steps you followed and what ROM versions did you use?
Also, could you tell what exact kernel version you have right now? (eg. "uname -a" output)
Thank you in advance.
I bought a brand new photon 4g and upon activating it.. I made the mistake of accepting the OTA 45.3.6 because now, despite all my efforts to root the device using AIO's, torpedo method, and even using the relatively new method that apparently works well with the Photon
@ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1235376
Im about ready to give up. Ive had plenty of experience rooting and flashing my HTC Hero CDMA and Samsung Epic however, i was not expecting this.
It seems the main problem with the AIO's is that they are outdated and I am only receiving error messages upon clicking the batch file (yes i have debugging while USB on)
If anybody could help me or give me an alternative rooting method I would be greatful. Would unlocking the bootloader before trying to root make a difference? Again any help would be super appreciated because I've ready the forums and used TFSE and im still coming up stock.
So I'm really new to the Photon too (came from an Evo4G), and had updated to the latest OTA as well. I just rooted using this method, it worked great:
[ROOT] Photon Torpedo, dockless root access
More specifically, I followed the directions here. Note: I did get an error message near the end of that process, but just kept going, and it worked just fine.
I haven't unlocked the bootloader, so someone else will have to chime in for advice on that....
That worked! And I happened to find another set of directions that made things even easier:
For anyone who will have this problem in the future, check out :

I am running Eclipse v1.3 on my rooted Verizon Note 2. I received a notice of an OTA software push. I deferred the update and attempted to remove the OTA files. Does anyone know the names of the files and where they are located so I may verify their deletion? I "think" I passed the last deferred time and have not yet received the OTA notice. I think I am in the clear, but I want to do what Reagan said, "Trust, but verify!"
Any help is very appreciated.
[I would have posted this in the ROM specific area, but since I am new at this, I was not allowed to post there.]

Looks like Eclipse is up to version 1.4 so it is probably the ROM OTA updater, not Verizon.

There is no ROM updater. It is the ota notification. OP you need to remove "sdm 1.0" I just used a root Explorer and deleted ie but whatever method you prefer. Just get rid of that sdm app

Let me help you. There is no ROM updater in Eclipse. Which is what the OP is running. Jelly beans and mean beans (and a couple others) does have one, but Eclipse does not (which is again what the OP is asking about). So I'm not sure what your picture of the updater from jellybeans proves?
