Cordial greetings,
A month ago I have the Sony Xperia device P is rooting for applying bug camera that takes photos at 8MP dark. A week ago I noticed something odd about the camera, when I go to take photos appear one pink spots on the image, zoom and points do get larger as it appears in the photos. Would anyone have been the same? What I can do?

I've tried everything, flash the device with different firmware versions 0.75, 0.59, 0.544 and the same problem occurs, the cellphone root, I used the camera fix mod and Cibershot mod and I get the same results.
I need help, I do, someone happened to him?
Will is hardware problem?

Have you tried to clean the lens? This doesnt looks like dead sensor pixel... Get a clean sheet of white paper and try that after you clean the optics. It might be ok...

No my friend, not the lens is dirty, own cell problem, because with the video camera pink points are moving a few millimeters
If software fixes and different firmwares don't work, you'll have to take it for repair.
You should still have warranty because xperia p isn't that old

I dont think that is a Problem had that clicking to on other phones its the lens that focuses, clicking 2 times when you aktivate the camera and when you switch
to Video mode,
The problem with the Cam for me is the real bad Focus, its almost imposible to scan barcodes etc. with google googles , etc..
im on newst Cam Firmware !
got 2 with this camera noise and 3 without.
no clue if it's okay ? why different... other lenses ?

Did you update through Samsung apps on your phone?
If not, you might have installed a wrong version that doesn't match up with the cam hardware in your phone.
I'm not sure if this a valid reason, but there are some different cams out there which need different firmware versions

this is mostly because there are at least 3 different cam manufacturers, you can see this clearly because of their different firmware versions (which is of course vendor specific)!

ya, that clicking is part of your problem, it is sitting to far out and can't go back. It shouldn't smack the housing and make clicking noises. I have this issue to, might send it it to be fixed or wait for replacement parts to become available.
Same problem but worst
Me and a buddy of mine both bought the 9100 together of the same shlef. Mine does the clicking sound and his doesn't. But my problem is worst here because it seems that no photo outside of 20cm range comes out in focus.
I am just unable to take a decent photo of anything further than this.
Could a FW fix solve this? how do i know what is my cam mode is? and which FW belongs to it?
LT
I also have issue with the camera: the auto focus is not working at all.
I can't tell if it's after flashing litening 1.2 or if it has always been the case...
I have applyed the samsung camera firmware upgrade.
hmmm...i think when designgears says the clickcklick sound of the camera is a defect, then it is one
i can't really belive in this vendor specific camera moduls for a noise reason... that whould be just to much quaility difference if samsung is doing that ?!

I and 4 of my friends have the phone One with litening Rom1.2 the others all have stock one of them made yesterday the firmware update the other 2 not
and we all have the clicking sound !!
can it be that so many devices have this defective cam,
and non of us coud get a good focus on close distances 10 - 15 cm
I just caled samsung support Austria and they sayd the clicking is normal !
I also have the clicking from the beginning and i havent experienced any Problems. Neither with Barcodes nor with photos. But to be sure someone should test the exact same scenes with 2 devices and post the results.
I dont really remember but i think the clicking just started after the Camera Firmware Update.
I have clicking with camera360 app and no clicking with standard camera .....
Focusses perfect down to 10 cm even when then going to max zoom
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
how can i test if it is focusing good ? which mode and settings ? thx
Clicking sound; no problems.
It looks like the clicking is a symptom
It looks like the clicking is a symptom, and what I think it means is that the lens is not sitting in its right position.
I assume that the further the lens sits from its intended position, the worst the focus will be.
All in all, if the lens sits pretty close to its intended position then the photos will come out good even though you hear clicking.
On the other hand, other people might be less lucky and the lens position will be totally off and so will not be able to take decent photos at all...
This is of course my theorem, not my knowledgeable absolute...
It's funny how the clicking of the camera is ALWAYS an issue with every new phone for some people. Many phones have it (not only the SGS2) and it's normal. Some people might have problems with the camera and the focus, but it has nothing to do with the clicking sound. It's just the camera's initialization.

Hello XDA Developers,
I would like to know how to get the purple fringe issue fixed for my xperia neo v
i mean to say that when i take pictures in night with flash on i get the purple fringe on my screen which is also visible in the picture, kindly help me in this issue
Regards.
Turn Autofocus -off!
Autofocus, when trying to focus- focus it-s own 'glass" from camera and you see that "ghost"...
Purple fring problem Solved
Dear nitin19288,
Purple fringe comes because of leackage of flashlight into the back cover . Put a piece of black paper or something else between camera and flash then close the back cover. Then bingo... Problem has gone... I have tried it. You also try it and tell me if it solved your problem. Sorry for poor english.
Well f..k that if you have to do your own hardware modification...IT is A HARDWARE MISSTAKE of camera and it HAS to be removed or changed...Go to your service and INSSIST them to solve a problem....
Wright now, today, I went back my neo-v because of this problem...They said "it;s probably a software problem", bat I told them not to lose time on flashing etc, it's a hardware, feleric camera!!!
They said if it's hardware, they will replace just camera lens, not all phone...Will see what they could do next week...and how much will I have to wait...
And definitely if they replace it with good working one - PHONE GOES TO MARKET...And bying newone, NEO with 8mp witch as I see dont have any problems...
Hi,
I've seen those purple shodows too. I'm on neo v. Just take of backcover and clean lens, worked for me.
Will try this blck-piece-of-paper workaround.
Thnx and greets

Does anybody known how to fix the pink spot issue?
yES! Take it to the service where you bought it...We gave a lot of money for this telephone, so dont be silent, fight 4 your money...u dont need feleric phone, take it back...
well I don't think that this is a hardware problem becuse I have it too BUT only on roms based on FXP sources on stock roms I just don't have that problem so I would say that this is software problem
Mine is STOCK rom, bootloader locked,,,everything STOCK, just rooted and thats all...And I have this problem from bying...
EDIT- Today I contact service and they said that is a hardware problem, and new camera modul comes this week, maximaly in monday...
Hello again...Service center FINALLY solve this problem. It is a feleric LED FLASH, not camera module...They changed several times just camera and problem still exixted...And then they change a part of board with LED diode for flash and that was a problem...
So everyone, if U have warrinty, go to your service center and solve it
Facing same problem..will try that back cover thing..
Can't get it...a feleric led flash..haha..its a diod and like a bulb..how can it be feleric..it either is giving u bright light or not or even deemed light but feleric..haha..good joke.

I faced this issue when i bought it from Store, the next day i went to store and told about the problem. They said its a hardware problem and they gave me a new neo V!! In the new one, i dont have that problem.
So, hi guys.
I just came home with my new Z2 after giving back my Z.
I downloaded the german ftf and the new flashtool for the Z2 and updated to this firmware.
I'm really not sure if this is related to the firmware update but I don't think so.
My issue is quite simple: the camera autofocus doesn't work. It just simply has a fixed focus (which works great for the near stuff but 100% fails for all other distances).
It's not a slow autofocus, it just doesn't work, the camera doesn't move, you don't hear any focusing noise. the camera button doesn't focus, tap on the screen doesn't focus.
Basically all my pictures and my videos have an amazing quality, but are all out of focus.
I googled around but looks like nobody has this issue. Is that fatal? Should I return it?

Xperia and almost all smartphones have digital focus
there s no special hardware for zooming
SO if you have problem in one feature of camera App do this;
- use another camera app : for example google camera and check if it can do auto focus
- install another firmware or just reinstall current firmware
- repair firmware by PCC
- after these IF sill thr s no auto focus >> take it to sony service
:good:

Autofocus and (digital) zoom are two different things.
I just update the 402 firmware and now my camera won't focus at all. It was fine before. Wtf...
Got the same Problem as you i have cyanogenmod 12.1 and my autofocus doesn't work as well on my z2. It worked with the stock Rom but after i unlocked, rooted and flashed CM on it, the autofocus doesn't work anymore. I Tried other camera apps but the AF just won't work. Have you solved the Problem yet? I'm considering to flash back to stock Rom but CM is so awesome

I can confirm that the focus button doesn't work on CM12.1 on my Z2 and the focus state doesn't work on the Google camera app, but I found an app that makes use of this autofocus feature - DSLR Camera Pro. The only downside to it, however, is that you can only take photos with it, and plus it's a paid app (but was worth it). Maybe there are other apps that can detect this autofocus, but I haven't researched this problem fully.
a m i feel the same tried and nothing drm reset the camera still faulty even if anyone has any solution please write
Same problem here...
Same issue except it won't even take photos and just sits there trying to focus.
The only fix is to revert to the previous official OS if you think it's worth it...

I hate necro-ing, but I have this last described problem too. Phone tries to focus, and the app stays that way forever.
I thought it was the result of restoring a TWRP backup from another phone, but resetting anything camera-related does not solve the problem.

Have you used the phone on a bike or some system that vibrates a lot ? Could be that the auto focus system is spoilt due to that? Happened earlier to me on N20U
