Can you elaborate on your problem, is the computer not recognizing the phone when its plugged in.
Its got to be the USB cable you wigggle it an it works for a second, it's the connection at the phone

That's not uncommon to have a problem with the USB cable. Time for a new one.

I've used Triangle Away a few times already. No problems at all. Also, I haven't heard from anybody else who had any problems at all. Just make sure you have the right SGS3: You need the GT-I9300, not the GT-9300T.
If you want to use it to enter download mode. It works.

It works fine I use it all the time. Make auee mhl adapter is plugged into USB power for it to work.
