I can´t install applications (apk) to the tablet. I am running 4.1.2 Kernel 3.0.31 - 767276. I have allowed the unknown sources in the security tab, but when hitting in the apk application, I got the install/cancel option, whne hitting install, the tablet doesn´t accept the option. If I hit cancel, it just cancel the installation. What should I do to be able to install apk?
Thanks

First, you posted on the wrong thread. (I already reported your post to be moved) Second, are you using an SIII or a tablet? Quite confused here.
I am using a tablet to post this message, but the problem is with the SGS3

Screenshot of the problem?
Do you have screen filter because it has the problem of not allowing users to press install if it is enabled. Simple solution is just to disable it (if you have it in the first place).

you said you can't install apps to the tablet, not phone
What app are you trying to install?

if u are referring to apk files you've not been able to install, download app 'easy installer ' or 'apkinstaller' from play store. easy installer is better as it scans your phone and shows you all apks present.. then click install.. if not, use apkinstaller
R: [Q] Can´t Install Applications (apk)
I dont get what ure problem is....if u mean that u try to install but then u get an error app couldnt be installed u need to install logcat fron the store and it will show you what happens when ure installing. Usually its because the app left traces in ure phone, u need to go and delete them(logcat will tell u where) and then u will be able to install.
U need root!

Root your phone and install the Google gallery again.
Or look for the stock gallery on this forum.
If you don't want to root your phone backup what you can,and do a factory reset.

GoogleGallery.apkm is a system app..system apps are not meant to be installed..they are not signed so cannot be installed in the normal way..to use a system app you will need root...after you are rooted move the apk to /system/app forder and give rw-r--r-- permission and reboot..

Not all apps are compatible with tables. If your apps are, go to the play store with the same Google account that your phone has, then go to my apps and try from there. Hope I helped.

I would like to avoid the whole backing up and restoring thing. The reason being that sometimes notifications won't work properly. This is based on my personal experience.
I really just want a way to force Google Play to sort of put any app I download on my phone onto my tablet. Sorta like iCloud integration on iPhones and iPads. Download as app, and if its compatible with both it'll install on both.

Is there a way to change device ID?? U can fool google play to think ur tab is ur phn
I was wondering maybe u can edit some files to change the device id to fool google play to think ur tab is a phn. I think it uses only the device id to check what apps r supported. So maybe u can hack ur device id n use da same google account on ur phone to force the apps in. This way once ur done with it everything becomes automatic. Im very new to android so cant tell u da procedures. But yes its possible. Christian troy did this on an unofficial cyanogen mod port. Spoofing a nexus 7. So maybe u can do it too.

hey guys can any1 tell me how do i change my superSU app with other 1... like superuser and remove the previous 1?
the reason i want to change is coz i cant access few apps like "root explorer" and "ad away" coz when open them they say "Either su binary could not be found or you did not allow the root permission for adaway" but i have already granted the permissions... this is happening in these 2 apps so far while other apps like greenify and other are working fine.
the thing is that there no option either to update the SU binary in superSU app which is installed in my custom rom "SUPER JB"
here is the link of the app which am using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.supersu
and am attaching a screenshot also of the error i get.
plz help me out... thanks in adv.
I'd check your root, sounds like you might have broken it.
EDIT: You already have a thread so there was no need to start a new one.

Did you try to reinstall? The option is down in settings.
After re-boot and re-install it will ask to update binary.

Y is it happening.. I mean bfre also they used to work... Maybe is it the new custom Rom I flashed.. superJB?
But bfre this also I had custom Rom called powerJB..
Is therr anymore solutions?

I should have stuck with hyperdrive.
I can use my phone and internet but the play store is out of commission for me.
I've wiped and deleted and force closed about everything related to downloading an apk.

It sounds like it'd be best if you ODIN'd back to stock and started over.
If nothing else works try the dreaded Odin route
Sent from my Beastly powered S4 using Tapatalk
Any links you could put me on for the Galaxy S4 ?
Also why is Odin dreaded?
Don't need to odin. Just simply download the apk, copy it from your SD card and paste it in your system/app folder. Once pasted, change permission to -rw -r -r. Now you'll see it in your app drawer.
Off-topic: There's something wrong with the default containers services on that rom. Everyone thinks it's a Google Play store error, nobody even bothered checking the logcat to see why...lol...I haven't gotten around to trying to fix it yet.

You're not trying to install it automatically. You're installing it manually by playing it into your app folder and changing permissions. Read my post and follow it and you will be golden, the concept is the same for all android devices
Eclipse comes with a file manager included.
