NO kernel 2.6.35.9/10 for Xperia Neo V?
No. Sony (SE) release only 2.6.32.9 only. There are some roumors that cyanogen work on 3.* for xperia2011 line

And kamarush and adridu59 are also working on 3.x kernel.
Hope they succeed

Does he have backup of earlier rom? Maybe try to install some other one. Place it to sd card using other device. If it won't work then try to find something which could help you back to stock and root defy again then...

my friend said the phone had been rooted for ages but didnt install clockworkmod. the phone originally had moto blur (2.1 eclair) and then tried to flash cm7 through stock recovery as an update.zip then afterwards the moto defy would get stuck at the motorola logo. i just need a way to get the phone boot into android without pc

I wanna root on gingerbread (Android 2.3.7).
Instead, the file could be any kernel with root and recovery.
