Hello guys....After going through a lot of threads, I have seen a lot of users experiencing the loader_unlocked.sin error in flashtool. So I have made this guys to help all those people.
The error is something like this :
Code:
C:\Flashtool\devices\SK17\loader_unlocked.sin (System can not find the file specified)
This error is generally caused due to a missing file in most of the directory known. So here are the steps of overcoming this error :
1. Go to the directory where you have installed flashtool, for e.g. C: Drive.
2. Now open flashtool folder and select the devices folder from it and open the folder.

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
3. Now open the R800 device folder.
4. Then copy the file loader_unlocked.sin from the folder.
5. Now open your device folder, for example SK17, i.e., Xperia Mini Pro. The "i" or "a" version doesn't matter.
6. And finally paste the loader_unlocked.sin in your your device's folder and now run the flashtool and you will be most probably successful!

Thank you very much for that, my phone's now working again!
One thing I really need to know though, should I remove that loader-unlocked file if I flash anything in future? Or do I need to keep it in the folder (in my case the ST18 folder) for good?

1. this thread has been around for MONTHS
2. .559 f/w is a little bit "old" today isn't it?
3. this doesn't work with the latest f/w
4. with reference to (1), u're hijacking bin4ry's thread, WITHOUT credits. dare i say u're mirroring his work without permission too?
5. even if u did want to point out this method of rooting, despite your maybe-good intentions, this definitely doesn't belong in the DEV forum, yes?
credits added as i ant see easy solution for rooting phone thats why posted this if Mod see any issue with this thread he can lock or delete.
@ OP: Thread moved to General section, post in the relevant section next time. If you are using some work of another developer then kindly take his permission before using the dev's work and give credits to him.
@Everyone: If any developer feels his work has been copied in this thread then kindly pm me.
anyways... original thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460 i think all u did was upload a renamed version of his zip. no offence, but... that's the way i see it... adding a line that u copypasta from the script doesn't make it a credit. i still don't think u got his permission to mirror a renamed file too

There's no need for multiple articles. Even if you remove XDA from the equation, there's plenty tutorials on Google.
Can't this be integrated into that? Would make the original thread much better. @PrakashGD Just post the same thing in the older thread, The OP of that thread (I assume DeamMask) would give u credit for ur work there.

Hi Guys,
I have a problem with entering flashmode on my xperia mini. It might be related with TA file. Can anyone make a backup and upload the original TA file?
Thanks
Please can someone upload the file?
Come on guys, do it! If I had a mini I'd do it, too, but I have a mini pro and my PC won't work at the moment
You can pull it with flashtool guys, so come on

My xperia mini can't enter flashmode, I read something about this problem and people say it is related with TA file (I don't know what it is, too). So, you can make a backup of TA file, i will try to flash that file to my phone, maybe it can be repaired.
Making a backup is a simple process i guess

i had the same problem when i tried the first time.
Download flashtool and flash .402 ftf or similar. would recommend .402 though.
That helped me. It deleted everything on the phone except for the SD card, but a small price to pay for a quick fix.

First of all thank you very much for the reply!
By flashtool you mean the official flashtool of Sony or any other?
Because in the original application i'm getting error that i have to open my bootloader. But I can't because of the ADB issue.

The one i used is flashtool-0.9.16.0-windows. get it here https://docs.google.com/file/d/0ByK8JL7P6wDTMXRvcTdjMzVuNFk/edit
then visit http://www.flashtool.net/index.php for more info on how to proceed with install etc. also =)
also download ftf from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2759934 i recommend the .402 so you can use easyroot to root!
You should just be able to flash the corresponding kernel for your firmware via flashtool/adb to get it working again
Hello everyone...
I find the phone with the non-working tuch ..
From the recoveri mode I managed to make a complete backup of the phone on sd and generated these 3 files:
userdata_20160101_000035.backup
userdata_20160101_000035.backup1
userdata_20160101_000035.backup2
is there a possibility to extract the content ???
I would be interested in contacts.
I state the phone is a Majestic
Thank you.
recovering contacts is not easy. you need SQLite Forensic Explorer to view the database file. the database is separated in many different tables, each table has a column "raw_contact_id" which contain always the unique id-no of contacts (one table contains phone nos, another table contains names, etc... you must query tables by id).
once you have extracted the backup, the file "contacts.db" is located "/data/data/com.android.providers.contacts/databases/"
from the backup I made, how do I extract the contacts.db file ??
remove the checksum(s) and merge the files. you need linux
don't be scared, i will explain you step by step. first step: do you have linux? if yes, press CTRL + ALT + T this is the terminal where you can do it. if no, please download unetbootin and prepare a bootable usb stick. you can run ubuntu on your pc without installing. don't hesitate to ask if you need help regarding unetbootin

"dd" does not accept wildcards. press <TAB> instead of * for word completion. you must type the full file name. remove the stars in this example code.
edit: i will answer in this thread, because this are linux basics. so lets open a "beginner" thread here, and leave the other thread open for more advanced questions. finally, your goal is to extract contacts, what we should not discuss in main thread
