Custom vibration alerts?? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

How to modify vibration strenght (intensity) and number for each alert.
for example, in go sms pro i could choose the number of times it vibrated and how intense it would be, it was perfect!.
Unfortunately, i do not want to use go sms pro...so i tried some other apps but their vibration intensity was way too low...i need it to be more intense than the default one, not too much, but more anyways....

R: Custom vibration alerts??
Oh i forgot to specify: ive already tried intensifying the vibration thru samsung settings: it works. Its not perfect, but its good.
What im interested in, other than possibly having it set a little higher (in terms of intenseness) is custom vibration for sms notificationS. If i go to "sound" in the settings i can set a custom vibration for the phone calls, but not the messages. To do that i have to go in sms app(stock) and settings from there, they have almost no settings for vibration (just enabling it and having it repeat a notification after a min of 2 MINUTES, how messed up is that?).
Anyways i tried other apps like vybe and stuff, and they DO manage to set up custom notification patterns, but the vibration intenseness is reset to minimum...sucks...
I wanted to specify this just to anticipate any answers that could not be concerning my problem.

You need to turn on notifications, when your looking at the news feed press your menu haptic button , the button on the bottom left of your 4 button layout go into settings and turn on vibrate or select an alert tone and the notifications will work. I also recommend setting the refresh interval in the settings to never to save battery. Hope this helps.

Go to your messaging app and go into settings and make sure it's set to vibrate within the messaging app
It's set to off normally

Can i turn the keyboard vibration off and the back and home key vibrations on?

Is there anyway that i can turn the jeybiard vibration off but the capacitive buttons vibration are on?
Without flashing a custom rom

I believe there is a setting for that. If you go to settings > input and language and select the keyboard you use, there should be a setting to turn off haptic feedback/disable vibration.

[Q]Is there any way to make it so the screen DOESN'T turn on with a new text message?

This is one of the things that I really don't like about iOS - the fact that the screen turns on and displays the message whenever it's received. No other Android phone I've used does this.
Is there any way to turn this off? I don't think it's in the settings; I've looked everywhere. Maybe a mod?
In the messaging app
Settings>notification settings>uncheck "screen on"

Thats really weird. I am on a custom rom though so maybe it was an edited sms app. what you could do is completely turn off notifications, download sms popup from the play store, and set sms popup to handle notifications. this has the added benefit of giving you a popup similar to cyanogenmod's messaging app. you would have to turn off screen on from notification in sms popups settings to get it working how you want.
Nice! That works perfect. Thanks

No Problem, glad I could help
The "screen on" option is only available from a custom ROM. I've since set up my whole device and I'm on the Hyper ROM which has the setting. I'm not sure why this isn't an option on plain stock, but at least I have it now.
