Group SMS - AT&T LG Optimus G

Hey Guys,
First time poster, looooooooong time browser.
I have a question. I recently came from a Lumia 920 to the Optimus G (Love WP8, but the lack of apps was just killing me!) and I have a group of friends, about 7 of them, that we group text...A LOT. However, when we group text on the LG Optimus G, each person has their own thread and it's not consolidated to just one thread with everyone in it, like on the Lumia 920.
How can I fix this? Does the default SMS app allow for this or is there an alternative that you suggest?
I am current running default 4.0 AT&T firmware (I can't root it, the phone doesn't double reboot during root, just one and then goes back to the home screen, but that's a question for another time).

Try using GoSMS pro. Or if you want to root, unlock, and flash a ROM, I just use the stock messaging app on CodeFireX 4.2.2

[q] re: Android freezes every time i use skype

no one? is there a way i can generate a log or something that can help someone help me?
i need to figure this out....
Same to me. So I use now another tool. Everytime I installed Skype Beta the phone freeze

Skype was made for Verizon only because of an exclusive deal AND because that version of it isn't true VoIP, it uses CDMA, which we don't have on our HD2, so don't be surprised if it screws up and freezes. Just wait until later this year when they should release a version for all Android phones that is true VoIP and even has video calls (if you have a forward-facing camera)

[Q] (REQ) MMS no split mod

I'm hoping this is the right place to post this.
I've just got a new Galaxy S3 and am loving it so far, but there's just one thing I'm wondering if any dev's could help with. I came from an older HTC Desire I'd rooted and was running Sandvold's ICS Beta ROM on and one of the things I really liked was being able to apply a modded MMS.apk that stopped the stock messaging app from converting a text message into an mms after 3 text messages worth of characters. I'm just wondering if there's anyone on here that's willing to create a modded version of the S3's stock messaging apk (I believe it's called SecMms.apk?) that is able to be installed on a stock S3? I'd rather hold off on rooting my new phone for a while, that's all, and it gets a little annoying when I try typing a long text message and it converts to an mms.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

Android Convert needs a couple questions answered please

Hi Guys,
recently purchased a Nexus 7. It is my first tablet and first Android device and I love it.
I have some specific questions I cant seem to resolve, perhaps you can help me.
I'm running the stock JellyBean version that came with it, albiet with one OTA update 4.1.1 build number JR003D
any way here we go...
1) In the 'People' app I see all my contacts. Some of which I have connections with over a number of accounts...Skype, facebook, LinkedIn, whatsApp etc etc. I see a little green circle next to names that are online, but how do I know which service they are online for? I cant seem to work that out...
2) in the native Gmail App I am trying to send a note to one of my predefined groups. In the browser, I just type the name of the group....and it recognizes...in the App on the Nexus 7 doing this is not recognised....I actually do not know how to send to a gmail group from there...is it possible?
3) Once you select an option for program to open a file (asks you to do it 'just once' or 'Always') can you 'undo' this selection as I made the wrong one and now I'm stuck opening files that way.
cheers for your help!
J
3. Go to settings>applications>all then find that app, click it and select clear defaults

[Q] Move WHATSAPP chats, history, media from Android to iPhone

Hello,
I need to move or copy an entire backup of whatsapp, including chat history , pictures and voice messages from an old Samsung Galaxy S3 (not rooted) to a new iPhone 5s. Messages is the most important thing though!
I found a program called backuptrans, but it looks shady and I'm not sure if it's legit. And it's expensive.
I also found wazzapmigrator but I think it only does copies from iPhone to Android, and not the other way.
Did anyone successfully copy his/her whatsapp history from Android to iOS?
I don't know much about iPhone or iOS and I'm staying with my Nexus 4, so I'd be very grateful for your help and a solution!
Also, I know xda is primarily an Android forum and I learned everything about rooting, flashing and Android in general here. But to me xda is the most knowledgeable site for things like this so I am asking you guys!
Thank you!

[Q] Requesting stock notes apk to open a backup.rnt file

Folks,
I have a LG OPTIMUS F5 P875 cellphone that unfortunately, out of nowhere, stopped working. I've indeed lost many important things, but what I miss the most are my notes.
On the other hand, a couple months ago I have made this backup.rnt with richnote itself (it's the stock notes apk) and I was able to save it someplace else, but now that I'm trying to open it, I've discovered that no other application will manage to do it (I've tried a lot of them).
Well, I have this rooted SAMSUNG Galaxy Ace 2 and I was planning to get that same richnote.apk and run it on my rooted cellphone, then I would be able, at least theoretically, to open my backup.rnt file with it.
Would it be really possible to run this same apk in my Samsung? Could someone upload your own Richnote.apk for me? Is there something else I can do to get this RNT file opened?
I have already tried these, but they don't work: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2618790
I know this is probably not the proper forum, but I didn't find one about LG OPTIMUS F5.
Thank you very much.
