If you enter your pin incorrectly 10 times you should get a "forgotten pin" in the bottom right. then it should ask for your googlemail account and password.

stock .

I think a hard reset is probably your only option, but this is going to wipe phone, I guess you don't backup regularly?
Also, are your contacts Google synched?

Vpn Settingn "enter password for credential storage" problem

hi
i updated my galaxy s6 edge to 5.1.1 and full reset factory done , but after update i have a problem.
i use fingerprint sensor for lock screen , after setup fingerprint for lock screen and restart my phone , after that i dont have acces to my vpn setting and it ask me for Credential password !!!!
but when i change lock screen method to pin or password there is no problem !!!
any idea how i can solve this problem ?
The exact same thing happening to me . I end up using a backup password instead of a fingerprint as a first thing everytime i reboot the phone, it helps so far.
Sent from my SM-G925F using XDA Forums Pro.
thx but they should fix this !!!

Backup password lost. Any way to recover ?

Hi All !
I've used Edge S6 with a great success for 1 month. No issues using fingerprint unlock, etc..
Today i had a problem using the fingerprint to unlock the phone. I've manageв to unlock the screen, but when i try to get to the fingerprint part of Security menu in Settings it asks me for the backup password which i do not recall. Tried all the passwords i could imagine and none worked. Browsed through the Internet and the only method found was to make a hard reset.... DO not want to do this.
Is there any way to reset the backup password ? Or restore it ?
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Really needed help ! Cannot use the fingerprint scanner...

Can you trigger power menu on lock screen? If you can see data network option there.

Samsung FRP lock SM-G925F

Hello everyone,
My S6 Edge is FRP locked because of a hard reset via the standard recovery.
Now is my question, how can I get rid of the FRP lock?
I've already tries multiple things, like:
- Flash a custom recovery (Can't because of RL lock (Reactivation Lock))
- Install factory binary to try a new method (Can't because there's no binary for my binary security level: RP SWREV: B:6 K:2 S:2)
- Install a stock rom with USB debugging enabled (Doesn't work, because for some reason ADB commands do not work...)
Hope you can help me!

So you have access to the device? In other words, you can use the device (open apps, play videos etc.) and just want to disable FRP but it wont let you? Did I get that right?

Thanks for your reply!
But no, I don't have access to ky device. Only the configuration screem which you get when your phone comes new out of the box or after a factory reset.
Within the configuration screen I can't go any further than login of the Samsung account. Because it won't let me login
I need a way to bypass this, otherwise I will not be able to use my phone anymore...

So you know your credentials but the phone refuses to accept it? If so, open Google on your PC and type in Samsung - Find my mobile. Log into your account, choose your S6 and select Unlock Reactivation lock. Make sure that the phone is connected to the Wi-Fi network.
If you forgot your Samsung credentials click reset password on the login screen (on your PC) and repeat the steps above.
Hope it helps

I just checked your claims and I don't see an option to disable FRP on my S6 edge using Google's method. It can erase and lock the device but it doesn't have the power to disable FRP. On the other hand Samsung's find my phone site has the FRP disable button. I wish to point out again that the phone explicitly asked for the Samsung account. If it wanted Google's info it would have asked. I could be wrong but I'm just saying what I'm seeing.

Yeah I know it's asking for Samsung account. But FRP lock is down to google. Remove Google account = FRP lock disabled. FRP lock and reactivation lock are different. If he can't get passed Samsung account the very easiest way is to just reset Samsung account credentials.

Aha, okay then, sorry for the misuse of words. But still in a nutshell FRP and Reactivation lock are the same thing. Both still block the circumvention of the stock ROM if it's enabled. I think that the author of this topic meant to say Reactivation lock tbh

I've done that already a long time ago. But simply resetting my Samsung account password isn't going to cut it.
My phone has been reset via the standard Samsung recovery menu. After that the phone boots up like it's totally new.
So you have to go through the configuration menu for the phone.
At the part where I have to fill in my Samsung account credentials it fails to advance because of Samsung's FRP lock which I still haven't been able to bypass.

But if you are entering the correct details then it should pass the reactivation lock. So long as you use the same Samsung account you had logged in before you reset. So if you reset the credentials for that account you should be able to log in and pass the lock after.

You say''and formated my phone without loging out" at that moment you were logged in, so you have the password.
