[Q] Bluetooth&Speaker Call Audio To Low - What to do? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
Im having a problem with my s3 sound quality during a call, both with my bluetooth car kit and the phone speaker. On my bluetooth car kit, the sound is to low, even after i set it up to max on the phone and on the radio and the other person does hear me fine (it uses the mic from the car) but i can barely hear the other person.
The other issue is also during a call, if i put it to speaker ( which i did after i couldnt hear anything on bluetooth), the sound is still to low and i can barely understand what the other person is saying.
Its very annoying and its the first phone where this happens, even cheaper phones i had didn't had these issues. So i was wondering if anyone knows a solution for this? I thought of doing this sound mod- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722136 - but im not sure if it works and im also afraid to set the volume to high and break the speaker. I also thought about the "acid audio mod", but i think thats just for music quality.
Thank you for your time

Replacement speaker for X10? Mine is distorted

One day, after I took my X10 out of silent mode, the "boop" sound for volume adjustment wasn't clear. Tried music and it was quite obviously distorted. Sound through the headphones remained perfectly clear!
Music distortion is one thing, but this makes my ringer much quieter
If the headphones are clear, it seems like it can't be the internal amplifier.
Does anybody know where a replacement speaker can be found?
if i'm not mistaken, a speaker of that size cannot possibly give you the type of sound you would find on a desktop computer.
and if i'm not mistaken as well, speakers of all phones are really horrible, compared to using the headphones. so it's a normal thing.
i believe there are speaker accessories for the x10. look at SE's global website
To clarify:
The phone had clear sound for months.
One day, the sound was distorted.
It has remained distorted, even at low volumes.
The headphone sound is still clear.
Therefore, I suspect the speaker is damaged.
I don't want external speakers, I want to hear my ringtone when I get a call!!!
(bump)
Any sources for X10 parts???
why don't you send it to se that they repair it for you ?
here is a page with spare parts:

call me crazy, but blow (using your mouth!!) into the speaker holes. My old C905 had the same thing and it turned out to be dust/sand/junk that was stuck in the speaker hole - causing the speaker to distort!
worth a shot hey!

Headset microphone doesn't pick up what voice recorder does?

Hi all, I have a question about my GS2 that I bought recently.
I recently upgraded from a Nokia e71x. I'm a college student with a roommate, so I used a wired headset to talk to my gf quietly at night on the phone (mostly talking low voice or whispering). I bought the samsung earbud+mic that comes with other samsung phones and she couldn't hear me at all or my voice was breaking up. I also tried using a little adapter to use my old ear piece but still, same problem. So I tried to use the earpieces in the voice recorder app to see if it was the calling or the mics and it was picking up my voice with perfect quality!
is there any way to fix my phone so that it sends better voice quality or something? I tried using the mics on my brother's iPhone and they work perfectly fine on it :/
Does it break up when talking at normal volumes? It could be that low volume doesn't work well with that microphone.

Not at normal voices, just at much lower/quieter voices. I know the mic works because using it on voice recorder I can hear my voice perfectly. Also, I used the mics on my old Nokia and my brother's iPhone and it works great
Keep in mind during a phone call noise reduction will be active. Not active during voice recorder. The phone may be half trying to cancel out your voice because it thinks it's background noise.
If you can get noise reduction shut off, that particular microphone may work better. The apple headset shouldn't work as well with noise reduction as it's a different brand, enabling better low volume conversations.
To test it out, use the Samsung headset to call someone and hold the microphone next to the microphone on top of the phone and whisper, see how well it sounds.
Then move the phone a normal distance away from you and see how whispering sounds when the microphones on the phone are and aren't covered.
If it is noise reduction causing you trouble, holding it next to the top of the phone should make whispering pickup better. And covering up the phone mics at normal distance should also improve how whispering sounds.

I tried what you suggested with no difference between any of the mics. Also, I tried to turn off noise suppression, but apparently noise suppression is already off when you use a headset. Thanks, do you have any other advice?
Lol, I guess get an apple headset. I'm sure there might be other things you could do, but I can't think of any. Could just be the Samsung one is not as good as the apple one.

[Q] Crackling Sound On Speakerphone? Pls Help!

So I just got this phone recently, its the C6833 and when I am on the Speakerphone with someone it starts to crackle.
However when I listen to music its fine, that's really strange I think.
Is there a different speaker within that one speaker at the bottom for calls and a different one for Music?
If someone could please help me out on this I would really appreciated it.
Do you mean cracking and buzzing (interference) in phone call speaker ? My C6833 does buzzing and cracking .. and not only when I make a call .... but everytime. I hear it anytime I put my phone to ear. I think there is GSM antena, WiFi etc. and it is not shielded enough.
You have 2 speakers on your phone ... One is for phone calls and the other is for music, loudspeaker ...
I dont know what to do ... It is propably HW problem ... I dont want to be without my phone for few weeks

Yea like a cracking sound, but like I said it Only happens when I am on speakerphone making a call, when I listen to music its perfectly fine.
The Music and phone calls when on Speaker Phone come out of the same speaker at the bottom of the phone.
Also when I talk on the normal phone when making a phone call with the phone to my ear, I can hear perfectly.
Very very odd.
I have a static noise coming out of my speaker. I can hear it during
speaker phone calls and when playing music with the volume very very low. Try playing your music and turn down the volume and see if you can hear the noise.

Well when I play my music low like you said to do, I can hear a bit of static but no Crackling sounds.
When I turn up the music its clear with no crackling sound , its Only when making a phone call through the speaker phone.
I even tried to plug in earphones while making a call, and its perfectly clear, which sort of rules out static or reception.
The only thing I am wondering is if the small speaker at the bottom of the phone has two built in speakers within One speaker, one for the Music and one for the Speakerphone would be the only thing logical I could think of.
I think the static noise is always there but you can only hear it when it's quiet or the volume is low. There should only be one speaker. If you put your finger over it you should be able to figure out which one it is. I think the static noise it's a software problem does anyone have any idea?
Hi, I am also facing same trouble, so could you let me know how you resolve it?
I had this problem before. It should be a software issue. I was about to send it in for repair so I did a master reset of everything. The problem went away.. Saved me a trip.
