Google Play: Error while downloading and searching for GPS problem - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I am using Motorola Razr XT910. Running Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Actually I am having some problems with my phone. At start when i update my apps it says "insufficient storage". But i have 600 MB free internal storage and some 500 MB free space in SD Card. I read somewhere here that if you want to fix this "insufficient Storage" problem then go to settings/apps then first clear data of Google Play Store and then clear data of Google Framework. I just do it and reboot my phone. But nothing solved. Now i have another two problems. First is when i update or download any app in Google Play. A message immediately appears on notification bar "Error While Downloading". And my second problem is that my phone is "Searching For GPS" but can't find. This notification is always shown in my notification bar. Please help me. Any help will b appreciated.
Thank You,

(don't spam meh...) and nothing ever comes up. When I clear market data, I get a "server error". Anyone else have this problem?..

[Edit] I get a market error when trying to download ANYTHING, error 492
Have same problem....but don't find a solution....it seems that much people have same problem.
This happened to me too, I'm not sure what caused it, but I'm pointing my finger to SD maid (albeit with no proof).
Market otherwise works fine, and the only workaround so far has been Chagelog Droid (free from market).

Holy crap...I didn't think it would help...I formatted my sd card, and market works now!

[Q] App Storage Full - How to find what is taking all the space?

Today I got prompted that my App Storage is full and I needed to delete some apps. I went into my storage and it says I have 4GB in OTHER. What is other? Is there anyway to get into the phone storage with a file manager?

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
"Other" I believe is reserved for Rom/system files....kinda for updates and such. I guess the best way I can think of describing is if your Rom was 3gb big it would be put in that partition....so it's controlled by phone/manufacturer unless someone has a way to shrink that partition down, but haven't seen anyone mess with it yet...I think all roms lately have had that 4gb-ish block taken up...hope that clarifies it a bit. So unfortunately it's space that you can't really use.

[RESOLVED] [Q] What app is this?

Hi! So I'm having some issues with an app I cannot find on my phone.
I have looked through all the running apps, and looked through my applist, and there is no apps that is obvious. And I see myself as an advanced android-user,
so I seek help finding out what app does this.
Here are the screenshots:

What app does this toolbar\powerwidgets ?
And I think its the same app that does the battery-indicator in the next screenshot aswell.
Anyone have any idea what app this could be?
It's annoying the booger out of me as I cannot seem to figure out what app\apps these are.
Help!

Thanks, but it doesnt seem to be it.
Atleast if I try to install the app from the market, it will just be installed again.
When removed its still there.
I also checked /system/app and there's nothing there that could be it.
I'm currently running searched through my whole phone for keywords like "notification"
"Toggle" "Notif" etc. But I cant seem to find anything that could be it.
Driving me crazy.
Edit:
I reformatted the phone and wiped everything clean.
App gone. Still no idea what it was tho.

[Q] ok, how on earth do you disable the data download warning in the play store?

}
that one? i only ever really use 3g and want to permanently disable this warning.
looked under the download app - no options, nothing in play store, data under settings etc.
any ideas?
anyone have any thoughts on how to do this?
here is something.. but why am I seeing your screenshot in this one year old thread?
http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/help-google-play-wifi-warning.17287/
I have a hazy recollection that this is actually delivered from Google play online rather than the app. They used to have it triggered for any app over 10mb, then when 3g became mainstream they upped it. My memory is pretty crap most of the time so this could all have been a dream.

How about you un-check "Download using WiFi only"? Aaand it looks like you've used a screenshot from a MIUI ROM, which isn't a crime, but strange
i found a thread re same issue and that had the screengrab (same thing, wrong rom).
unchecking it works for that 1 time and 1 time only which means every time you update a large app you have to manually do it. it's pointless and a waste of time
there was a fix for the miui rom but doesnt apply to ours (in the downloads app but there's no options for it on our phones)

Moving apps to SD card

Hello guys this is my first topic so sorry if it is repost, which I doubt because I'm looking for this all day. So here is the deal. I bought HTC DESIRE 516 DUAL SIM. After that I understand that with this device you cannot move apps to the SD card. I'v tried all day to change the installation location with ADB from 0 (auto) to 2 (external) and finally I did it.

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But still the [Mod edit: Please watch your language] device is downloading and installing apps in the phone. Am I doing something wrong? Please help. I don't want to root it because I bought it one week ago. I just need to move the apps. Thanks
Forgot to tell you that I've tried this trick: I made new partition on the SD card 2 GB primary ext2 and i hopped that then it will work but still downloading and installing on phone. Link2SD also doesn't work without root...
any suggestions?
Up
Ive heard its a common thing in Jelly bean that app2sd is not supported... My Xperia M also does not support it since 4.3 update
Now I left install location on 2 and I try to install an app it's giving me an error "insufficient memroy"...
