I've been trying out custom kernels on couple of different roms with little to no luck. I've tried Meanrom v3.09 with ElementalX kernel versions 3.3 and 4.1 beta and I can't get the rom to boot. I've tried Arc reactor with Blues and Jazz V1.7 and I can't get the settings to stick for all versions. At this time, I am on Meanbean V3.09 and flashed Arc Reactor V03 maxoc and this is what kernel tuner is showing

Am I flashing the kernels incorrectly? I have my rom flashed and I wipe cache/delvick cache and flash the kernel, follow instructions on AROMA and wipe caches again before rebooting. Than I go into kernel tuner to check the settings and I even change the settings and reboot hoping for the settings to stick. They don't and they look like the picture above
Thanks for any help guys.

Did you mark stop others from changing in application settings.
Sent from my lair.
I didn't have that marked, so I did it this morning and than went ahead and moved up the clocking and changed the governors and than did the reboot. After the reboot, it went back to the previous settings. Just to show what I am working with
One of the two governors went back to ondemand when I chose intellidemand for both. And both clocks went back down to 1512mhz and this is V0.3 max oc.
I have not used meanbean for a while. I don't exactly remember, just check etc/ init.qcom.post_boot.sh or etc/init.d for scripts that could prevent it from changing. Just do a back up before deleting anything.
Sent from my lair.
What do you have on the sticky settings template? Try deleting that first before you mess with the init. q. com.postboot file... Mike has its own tweaks for overclocking and governor, change the values on the init file after deleting the sticky file...

Hi guyz...
Being a noob has made me a bit concerned about my knowledge about my own Phone...
I have got GingerDx v022 with modules (AnDyX's Dualtouch for Cypress, AnDyX's smartass governor, ext3/4, X8Gesture, X8MDDI, X8UV) as given by the developer. But I am not still able to overclock my device. When I enter the mas CPU frequency, it has got no options, and just displays maximum Frequency as 600MHz.
What should I do?
This is preventing me from installing any HD games.....
Overclock modul isn't included in that rom.
Here is how to instal it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1020313&highlight=x8oc
Btw wrong section.
Use SetCPU to set frequencies...
And... WRONG SECTION...
Hit the THANKS button if I helped you!

For that he'll have to unlock the bootloader. Overclocking the stock kernel is possible.
Dx made a topic for this!
Unlock bootloader http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17384177&postcount=3 and install kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1340861 using flashtool http://androxyde.github.com/Flashtool/

+this should be in the Q&A section
unlock your bootloader, install a module called x8 overclock(?) i cant remember, thenyou can overclock. or if you need to overclock cpu, install alfs kernel
Wrong Section
You dont need to unlocked bootloader for that. We already have OC before unlocking bootloader have been successfully implemented. Mostly ROMS that made for stock has already that module in the libs.
Just flash Alfs kernel
Flash the alfs kernel for the rom and in the CyanogenMoD menu there in performance will be a CPU menu! Thats all...
HIT THANKS IF I HELPED! Please!
Yup, wrong section..... Sorry..:|
And thanks for the help.
For future visitors: There are 2 methods:
1: For stock kernel, flash the oc module by dx.
2: For unlocked bootloaders, install a custom kernel.
To edit settings: Use a 3rd party program like setcpu and no-frills cpu control./Go to settings->CyannogenMod settings->Performance settings -> CPU settings

[ SuperCharger ]
I've modified the services files to fix the OOM Priorities for ICS ROMs. This will allow you to install the SuperCharger script and get it to 100% without any additional work.
Full credit goes zeppelinrox for his awesome SuperCharger script.
This add-on does not include the SuperCharger script. Go to here to get the latest ICS versions. Copy it to your sdcard and follow the instructions to install and set-up.
The currently recommended versions are:

Experimental add-on.
Recent changes in CM9 means that this may no longer function. This will also not work with Keiran's kernel. Leaving it up for users to test.

6. Install using the instructions in this post
Thanks! It worked!
Can you modify the Supercharge file for AOKP 1.2 please? The 1.1 version just causes a bootloop.

Just uploaded FXP121 SuperCharger and AOSP 1.2 SuperCharger add-ons post #1
WiFi Afterburner doesn't work
I can't seem to get the 3G script to properly initialize Wifi Afterburn - even immediatley after I run it it says Afterburn is disabled, and after reboot and rerunning the script it reports that it still isn't done.
Is this a known issue, or just a bug in this rom?
I'm running AOKP at the moment, v1.2
Also the Supercharger script fails with an Arithmetic error when attempting to auto apply supercharger values, so I had to manually set them.
atarii can we use aokp 1.2 supercharge file on aokp 1.3 rom?
Bored with your CM9 look?
I compiled some mods to make it more special.
Compiled based on FXP129 CM9(will update when new versions are out) so DON'T use this on any other rom-no Sony stock ics, no AOKP, no MIUI etc!

Well in my case the loading circle stucks and then the screen goes black so i cant check the battery percentage with hone off. But the phone charges correctly. Currently i am on simplicity v4 with stock kernel. Any ideas? (i used odin to go to stock rom and kernel and the same problem happens in stock too)

Same bug here (i'm using Simplicity v4).
Flashing twice via odin helps to solve this problem.(flash twice or it wont work)
