If you install a Custom ROM based on the Archos firmware, the multimedia plugin and all Archos apps will work (unless the author removed them).
So yes, if you install a rooted stock ROM the plugin will work.

Whenever you install a custom ROM it is rooted automatically so those programs are not needed unless you aren't going to be installing a custom ROM

You have to be rooted first in order to install a custom ROM.
1. Root
2. Install CWM
3. Custom ROM
You don't need to be rooted to install CWM or a custom ROM.
Not Exactly

hey guys I installed a stock ROM (I9100XXLPQ_I9100OXALPQ_I9100XXLPQ_HOME.tar) using odin, however it being stock did not came rooted or with CWM, however I want to change it to a stock deodexed, zipaligned rom however the one I found is only CWM instalable... so where can I install CWM for this stock rom I have not found the package to install it.
I guess any generic 4.0.3 CWM will work since I just want to install the CWM to flash the new kernel ! thx

Go to the Original Android Dev section and download the CF-Root for LPQ and apply it via ODIN. You will then have CWM and be rooted.

Option 1. Restore CWN Backup which you should have made before going flash happy
Option 2.Flash a stock rooted rom from XDA from custom recovery
Option 3.Find the stock firmware for your region from XDA/Checkfus/Sammobile.com..connect your phone in download mode via odin..flash the firmware as pda..then root with CF-root
all you need is in/General/stickies....oh and some reading

Hi everyone!!
I bought a S2. Installed villain Rom 3.0 with provided kernel. Now I want to install a custom ICS/JB rom.I searched on youtube and other XDA threads and found that I need to upgrade the bootloaders and other stuff and need to install ics through ODIN. Is that correct? or I should just download a custom ICS/JB and install it thru CWM as normal?
Yes, just install like normal. Or you can upgrade boot loader, phone, pda, csc. So do what you want.
Send form Galaxy S2. But I don't have it :-\

I suggest you leave the bootloader as it is if you dont know what you are doing
Just pick a rom and follow the install instructions.
I have unlocked bootloader with cyanogenmod (cm) 12.1 installed. I installed XPosed Framework and things are becoming unstable and I would like to go back to stock android. How to do this?
There is the thread "[Z2] [D6503 Marshmallow] [23.5.A.0.575] PRE-ROOTED + TWRP 3.0.0.2 + Xposed [LB/UB]"
but the requirements I don't have:
Checklist:
Quote:
lollipop/marshmallow (stock or stock based) - I have CM 12.1
root
recovery
non-xposed stock (USE xposed-UNINSTALLER) - I have XPOSED

I guess I can uninstall XPOSED but does CM count as stock or stock based? I'm not sure. What's best thing to do?

Flash tool should have a built in firmware downloader. I used it to download a UK based stock LP firmware. So should work for you. Sure it uses XperiaFirm.
