I would like to know if i can turn off the sound when I press the voice input button. The sound it make before we can speak, and the sound it makes after we stop speaking. I want to turn it off/ remove. I want to turn it off because it looks stupid. It is much cooler without the sound. I tried to search for .ogg file inside phone or under setting menu, but nothing works.
Please help me

Hello,
As the mic and the speaker are enough strong to record and play mp3.
I was wondering why you don't have a function free-hand with the cellular phone? Does it exist a soft or something else to make that possible?
Thaks for your answer
if you mean speakerphone then holding down the pickup phone key for a few settings turn it on or at least thats what my manual say
yesss it's working, thanks a lot
I don't have that ICON
I don't have the phone icon. Do I have to enable it?
Let me know
Its the same green phone key you use to make a call bottom left of the xda.
I am very happy with my new qtek 8500, apart from a few minor things...
One of them is that my device autoswitches profile whenever I connect my bluetooth earpiece, maybe for some this is a good idea, but for me it kinda sux.
I use my earpiece almost all the time, and the good thing about being able to set it to a silent profile is that my earpiece still makes sound upon incoming calls, so I don't miss the call, but I won't be bothering anyone 'cause only I will hear it. Please someone with the proper knowledge help me on this, my guess is that's it's a registry-thingy, but I'm a total noob to WM5, and this was not a problem in 2003 se....
Edit the Headset Profile
Go to Start->Settings->Profiles and then highlight Headset then select Menu->Edit. Turn off the ringtone, select vibrate, etc and make the Profile as you need it.
When you're done adjusting, select Done (Left softkey) all the way back out to the Home Screen. Now your Headset Profile will do what you want.

Well thank you, but it's not that i can't adjust my profiles, it's a little more complicated
I want to disable the autswitching of profiles, so that I keep the current profile ( no matter which one ) when I connect my bluetooth earpiece.
I'm trying to figure out how to silence the media applications on the phone when it's set to vibrate. I would like it to not accidentally make any noise at all when it's set to vibrate. What am I doing wrong here? There must be a way!
There is a great app in the market place called Volume Control. It allows you to adjust volume for System,Ringer,Notification,Media,Alarm and In Call independently. You can also control the Vibration and Save/Load 2 different states.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks for the response!
I realize maybe I'm just thinking a little too simple here, but there's no way to tie it to the phone ringer volume? Once the phone is set to vibrate shouldn't all sound be muted? Maybe I'm just used to the way my old phone worked. Basically I accidentally hit pandora during a lecture in class.... and it started playing even though I had it on vibrate and switched back to home. I couldn't silence it fast enough so I just popped the battery out.
I installed that app, but it doesn't have the option of tying them together. I also couldn't find how to save settings in there.
Thanks for any help.
Hi,
First time poster and I registered just to see if I can get this question answered. My issue is that I really hate that when I change from sound to mute via the vibrate icon in the pull-down taskbar that it actually vibrates. I also hate that it vibrates when I push the volume putton down towards mute.
If im lying in bed with the Mrs and not wanting to wake her while I browse my phone i want to be able to go from sound to mute and when passing through vibrate that it actually doesnt vibrate (I dont need to be told im on that setting). There is an app called mute to do this but I wish I could disable the vibrate when changing profiles entirely. The icon tells me whether it is on vibrate or not without needing to vibrate to tell me I have moved onto the vibrate setting!! Same goes for during a meeting when I am toggling one way or the other i want to do it without making a noise. I know I could use the power button to go to silent mode but I prefer to use the dropdown menu.
With my iPhone I could have just changed a text file or something but I guess its different with android?
So essentially I only want my phone to vibrate when I am getting an alert like a call, text message, calendar alert etc and not when Im cycling through my sound profiles. Maybe Im weird and this doesnt bother anybody else but it would be great to hear if this is possible to hack?
Thanks
David
God damnit. I'm so sick of having my phone on vibrate (most of the time because I'm at work) and then clicking on a facebook video or opening an app that has music/videos in it, and sound come blaring out of the phone in the office even on vibrate. Please tell me someone has figured out how to make the V10's "Vibrate" mode truly vibrate only as in NO sound plays from any app on the phone without having to open the app and then manually turn the volume down...
Thanks
Can't help you there. I don't think there's a completely silent option. Best way is to just set to vibrate, tap on the settings icon next to the volume slider, and just turn the last one all the way down. If I remember correctly, the marshmallow update should fix that issue.
