Just figured I would give a "bump" to this Q&A since this dual-booting Samsung & AOSP is working well at this point. There are a few caveats and I am compiling a FAQ on just this topic. DerTeufel's thread is here and the OP references my FAQ > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2239453

Does this version of the kernel work for the i605? The version that was posted in Original Development had issues with the recovery that DerTeuFel has been trying to fix.

He has already stated that he is working on a different recovery for the VZW users in the VZW thread. The reason I ask is because the thread states it is for all t0lte users, which the VZW Note 2 is the t0ltevzw, so if this one works he wouldn't have to create a new recovery. He would just have to upload that version.

[Request] Sungsonic ROM Port

If permission was granted is there anyone who has the knowledge to port the International Sungsonic rom over to Verizon? The RoM looks amazing. Just a request, don't mean to ask something that's not allowed (potentially). Thanks

Is it a N7100 or N7150 ROM? If its N7150 you should be able to flash Scott's patch and maybe a VZW radio and have it working.

That's good to know, possibly that's the problem. Here's the developers website

If a dev has enough time and feels like this would be a good port yes, problem is most of the devs have their hands full already.
If you want to try to port it yourself try these links out:

it should be as easy as applying this patch from ScottsRom after you install the Rom in recovery
I havent tried but this works for patching other roms to work for verizon and there are other patches for other carriers here

I'd love to try this sometime but for now I've got no time to dink around with it. I understand what you mean about devs having time to port it. . It's not a small investment of time on their behalf.

The N7100 doesn't support LTE which may be a reason why Scott's patch doesn't work with N7100 ROMs

Did you even look at the guides? One is a huge list of all the guides and if you needed help you could ask in one of the porting threads. TrevE explains porting at length in his thread.
As for the PC tools you are talking about a kitchen, the most popular is dsixdas, I doubt I spelled his name right, kitchen.

He was putting up b19 for the note 2 when you tried to reach him and he also had a death in the family this week.
Honestly guys, though I agree that he puts out great ROMs it may be worth keeping in mind that much of what he gives you in a rom you can do yourself with minimal effort. Install Xposed Framework yourself, a different launcher, all the tweaks you want via xposed and other means. I can tell you that via xposed and Nova I have all the apps on a custom dpi on my note 8, my icons the way I want them, and via widget locker a aosp like lock screen. Beans puts together for you what is readily available out there right now for you to do yourself pretty easily.
Did he not have a device donated to him, or am I thinking of someone else?

Yes we did donate this device to him...
I have been a beans fan for a long time, since the s3 days. He was the first dev I ever donated too. His work is amazing and he is a good dude. It's just a little frustrating because he has been super active on the s4 which came out around the same time as the note 8.0. (I know because I have an s4 as well)
As for learning to dev or or installing the simple things, I already have. I have imported many things from his note 2 rom (for personal use only) but I'm know beanstown!!!!
All in conclusion beans a good dude, and I will continue to support him. I was being selfish

First of this is in the wrong forum but before they move your thread let me answer your question. Yes there is a CM 12 in the works and if you want a taste you can head over to the regular N3 forums and look for the CM 12 build by Temasek. They do have a hltespr version their and I'm actually using it now. Full data, texting works via Hangouts, making calls sometimes causes reboots on hangups but otherwise, I'm anxiously awaiting our own exclusive version.
