the thread will be closed quite soon as you know and as you mentioned: test them by yourself, no one knows how you use your phone. Hence you will only get generalized answers like: for battery Samsung base is good, for speed, aosp/aokp etc.

No, my main target is find a best choose between official rom and non official roms.
And ONLY a lite rom. I know Omega rom maybe is good for our device, but i want a LITE one. I know i must test all roms, but i want use your experience for test only best ones.

Best AOSP/AOKP Based Rom ?

hi guys, which AOKP/AOSP based builds best for Our S3 ? (I mean Stable and good battery life ? )
Cm9 is stable now, but jelly bean roms are pretty good too, cm10, supernexus...etc.
Well, why not you try all of them and lets us know
No rom is the best. Just keep flashing until you found your best rom.

The Jellybean roms aren't 100% stable yet. They are good enough for daily use but expect the of bug. Both cm9 and aokp are very reliable though, and battery life is very good although battery life is also very good on the stock Samsung Rom so don't expect any big improvement.
I've tried them all and am sticking with cm9 until cm10 gets the last few bugs resolved but you really should try some different flavors yourself and see what you like.

I think most roms are pretty stable for gs3. I have used stock but now sticking to foxhound 1.4.2. Pretty amazing rom and stable with good battery, not upgrading to the latest until jellybean version is proven to be stable.

Spoon feeding isn't allowed unless you have a proper maternity certificate, this is quite clearly stated in forum rules
Closed, no such thing as a "best" rom, search, read, and find out for yourself.

AOSP or Stock ?

which one do you guys think ?
I tried both of but I think AOSP is better.
What rom best rom posts are banned on XDA up to you to try them yourself .

After trying lots of different ROMS I have found stock to be most reliable on the S3, and by stock I mean Samsung Official Stock.
AOSP while good on the nexus range misses out quite a lot of features the S3
It all comes down to simplicity versus usability. Stock provides great software tricks, but it one heck of a ram hog. I'd still prefer it over aosp though, speed is excellent and the interface is pretty neat.

[Q] ROM recommendations now that ICS OTA is officially cancelled.

Figured to just make one thread for people to throw in their suggestions for ROMS for those people that were waiting for the official ICS, but was let down. Now they can go ROM out their phones to use as backup/main/fun, etc...
Should probably put down which ROMs have fingerprint and/or webtop support too for those that still want to use either or both of those functions.
Good Luck to all!

All-time favorite blur rom - NottachTrix!
Sent from my MB860 using xda app-developers app
Another vote for nottachAtrix, very stable although a bit slower than CM7/9/10
Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk 2
Nottachtrix if you like blur, neutrino if you like cm7, and epinter cm10 if you can live without video camera and hardware acceleration. Any of these are great daily drivers and will hold you over until you get a new phone.

i vote for Atrix-MROM, killer battery life (best of any rom imho), smooth and pretty stable.

If you want JB. And you should, tho ignorance is bliss.. don't try it if you like GB. FP scanner, hwa, web top, camcorder... beyond that thebills's aokp is incredibly stable and smooth in ways GB will never be. 24hrs + standby

Now that the official one is canceled, the best rble is MaxBlur 5.1.. It have everything. I dont like CM ROMS the modified originals one are a lot better. Also install I install ubuntu webtop..

Hey guys are all the CM based roms broken when it comes to fingerprint reader and Webtop? What is the fastest/best ROM with FPReader and Webtop that work?

What do you mean "FP broken"? As far as I know, FP works just fine with all CM7 ROMs.
Webtop never worked with any CM and very likely never will. There are alternatives to webtop so not a huge deal.
I gotta say...honestly although the intention of this thread is good, it's really not helping all that much, there have been like 10 different rec's already. I mean I guess at least it's a place to start, but I wish there was some info about each rom rather than saying "this one's the best." Maybe it would be nice to have links to the roms and a link on how to install roms? I'm not expecting to be spoonfed here, my Atrix is rooted and the bootloader is unlocked, but I haven't been following the rom scene at all waiting for ICS so I'm a bit lost. Just my input, thanks.

There are separate threads about each and every ROM mentioned. Do you seriously expect people to copy descriptions and feature lists for each and every ROM? This is not a ROM summary thread, it says right in the title these are just RECOMMENDATIONS. Just go to the respective thread and read up.
IMO this thread (and a few others like it) is pretty pointless anyway, because the question "which ROM is best" is pretty stupid. There's no such thing as "the best ROM", this is just too individual. Different people look for different things in a ROM. You should just find ones that seem interesting and try them out yourself, and then decide which one works best FOR YOU PERSONALLY.

The OP says ROM recommendations not "the best ROM" as you led the readers to believe.
Why don't you all [Members] policing XDA just ignore a thread that you don't like instead of posting your dislikes about it? I think that is more waste of XDA resources than the OP. An ignored thread would quickly disappears anyway but the feuds between members would lead to unproductive environment. Just saying!
Mrom
I would recomend to stay with a GB rom for at least the next 2 months. For me the best one is Mrom which is based on CM7 and has given me the best battery life.
If you want to try a JB rom the I strongly recomend Epinter´s. It´s updated very often and runs smoothly and has very little bugs.
My recommendation would be any kind of ROM which will install on a Samsung device.
CM7 is rock solid and a very trustworthy daily driver for the Atrix. Great battery life - IMHO better battery life than stock. Highly recommended!...

Well I have tried a lot of roms and always find myself returning to Mahdi rom. At least for me it is the best rom. Many features and nice stock aosp look.

It contains everything I said?
There is no perfect ROM. But mahdi, nameless, are my 2 favorites. They're all lacking in the camera department but you can flash others . If you take the time to set things up properly you can have a very feature packed ROM to the point where there is no need to go with stock

Sorry I'm new to the field
I have a problem when I connect the device to a computer is not giving me the option of transferring files
know the problem?
OP my recommendation is to try these ROM's And what works for you may not work for others, as what works for others may not work for you....
Just do some homework and read and test and run for yourself...Thanks.
