As subject, I'm wondering whether someone already try to ported S Memo and S Planner from Samsung Galaxy note to flyer/EVO. Since both using digitizer, I'm thinking the software can be used on Flyer/EVO too (really interested on some features of those which lack on flyer/EVO).

I could give it a go if you want still? I themed the G1 back in the day and my nexus s but haven't wanted to theme since ICS but I could help I've actually been working on car brand themes for people you mount tablets into their dashes too.

I've gained so much from XDA recently. I just wanted to make an account to say thank you to XDA and the devs, and say hi to the forum members.

yo yo. I went from iphone 4 to Evo 3d. Thought it was a downgrade, but man was I wrong. Lovin the dual core evo 3d. Have you guys used the s2 or s3?
Yes I Did own a S2 but sold it and got a 3D.Happy with it.

Got my wife an S2. Great phone! I am not much of a Samsung UI fan, but once rooted you can change it to your liking. Looking @ the S3 for myself or the One S...

how different are android UI's across brands?
The only difference is color man, I own 3 galaxy s2's best decision was switching back to HTC and letting go of those Samsung with their ****ty ass radios. HTC just kick ass, they just need to upgrade their screens and they should be able to stomp on Galaxy phones all day. Oh and fyi flashing and rooting is so much easier. EVO 3d not dead.

I suggest you to search the web for images. Search for HTC Sense / FriendStream and compare it to Sony Xperia TimeScape... You'll notice the difference. And definitely take a look at LG Prada 3 interface!
There's also Samsung's Touchwiz but I only know the icons and the notification area, can't really cite any feature...
It isn't in the visuals though, but in the little things like what a menu will offer you, functionalities and the exclusive apps the manufacturers produce to their phones that makes each unique.
Is it just me or does anyone else miss sense UI yet

Not at all
I kind of do. But I understood that going from HTC to Samsung would (IMNSHO) be a downgrade in the user experience.
The screen size & battery life along with CM/AOSP/AOKP is a good decision for myself.

I had HTC phones exclusively for ever (with Windows), and would love to try them out again, but Samsung phones are pretty cutting edge. Hope they come out with something compelling on AT&T in the future...

On wm was the only time I liked it cause it help hide that hideous 6.1
Yea, the windows GUI was hideous. I remember running android on my Tilt2 from the SD card. Didn't run great, but it made the decision to just get an Android phone when they went to Windows 7 a no-brainer!
That, and when I saw the Dell Streak with a 5 inch screen, I was in love...

I always loved the SENSE UI and yes i do miss it a lot. it would be nice to have Sense UI on our Note but it might become unusable b/c note is kinda laggy right now and with Sense UI Force close or freeze all the time...
I had HTC HD2, HTC SENSATION 4g and Now a friend of mine gave me his htc evo 3d. i use it as a secondary phone i have no service on it but it is connected to wifi to make/receive calls/sms. there are rumors that HTC is making a 5" screen phone for verizon and if that comes out i might switch to Verizon even though i hate them.

God I hated Sense on my Evo 3d. No copy and paste from the dialer to start. Remove sense (install a clean rom) and Caller ID breaks. Plus a whole bunch of other small annoyances that add up to a whole lot of frustration. Maybe the new version is better but I'll never go back to Sense.
Sense ui.....=HTC bloat.....imho
Loved the 4 htc devices I have used, but they sure ran nice on CM....g
I think htc lost their way. I loved sense on wm6.5 on my hd2, especiLly the hacked ROMs that increased the icons. I preferred that GUI to their android GUI (which was based on their wm GUI originally). I have most of myold devices (all the way back to a Psion Orhamiser!) And its clear HTC once had really cool devices. Now they are ME TOO. No real differentiation. Samsung is winning at the moment.
But watch out for ASUS. They will appear from nowhere in the mobile market with outstanding devices (much like they have in the notebook market and now the Microst tablet).

the only thing I miss from the sense is the camera feature that you could make funny faces while taking the picture. other than that I am totally happy with the samsung version of android. I recently switched to jelly bean and I like it even more.
I've always liked it too but it's true it's become way too bloated after like sense 2.0

So where is the sense port
So is there a sense port for our Notes or what I love Sense the themes the skins the widgets for those of you that say it lags well that may be true of stock sense but the Devs here on XDA have fixed that on all versions to make it fly My wife has my old HTC Inspire and I still play with it from time to time and it makes me miss sense alot team Black outs ICS sense 3.6 is great and so is Sabsa Prime ICS sense 4.0 so if there is a port for our Notes I would love to get it:victory:

Nope not yet I doubt there will be one since it's so freaking hard to port especially to a Samsung device

HTC has a good offering of large screen devices running sense already..IMHO
It's a love/hate thing, and i'm gonna hate sense from now on...g

M7, everything is better and faster..
Only complaint is the buttons on the screen. If the app doesn't do full screen, you actually get a smaller screen for the app!

An upgrade in every shape and form. Also looking forward popular the support this device will receive that the one x+ lacked (thanks to HTC and nvidia).

5s to M8
Coming from the iPhone 5s/LG G2 to the M8
This phone has a premium feel, and I love Sense 6 "Sixth Sense". Wish the camera was a little bit better but its ok. iOS 7 was boring me and small screen size of the 5s made me feel borderline claustrophobic, and LG G2's skin of Android was just like touchwiz felt outdated and laggy at times.
HTC m7
Better all around
I came from a Sprint m7 but service was weak Monday my at&t m8 fun begins.

All of you guys coming from the Nexus 5 and saying this is much faster, where are you noticing it?
Just curious, because I came over from the N5 and this does feel faster in some areas but not everywhere. Just wanted to see where you notice it.
Thanks!

I came from a Motorola Atrix 4G ... a phone that I had since it was released in February 2011. Not only that, but I'd been using CM7.1.0 on it since anything newer didn't support the phone's fingerprint reader.
Needless to say I feel a massive improvement I love this phone!!
