If you want to go into download mode you need to:
1) turn the phone off completely
2) hold the volume up and volume down button at the same time
3) plug the phone in via USB cable (while holding the two buttons) and wait for the download screen to show up
It's work thanks a lot

I have a Vibrant that was hardware locked. I was able to correct it using the Odin
fix created by Untermensch. It was working fine when I did it back in Dec. Since then anytime I need to get into Download mode I always hold the Vol. up\down and plug in the USB. I was wanting to try out the CM7 ROM so I wanted to make sure I could still use the 3 button combo. Every time I try to do it to get into download mode it always goes into Recovery instead. I can still get into D\L mode the other ways but not with the 3 button combo. Is there anything I can do to fix this or am I screwed. Any help would be appreciated.
Yes. Get all your files and everything set up in odin (assuming that it was you are trying to do)
1. Pull battery out
2. Hold down volume up/down
3. Plug usb in (still holding volume up/down)
4. Put battery back in
5. Should be in download mode now
Good luck

I managed to crack the screen on my S2 and need to send it for repair. Is there a way of wiping all data and formatting the internal storage without the use of the screen?
I'm feeling very very at the minute

If you can get into recovery mode (shut off phone, once its off then hold power, volume UP and home button together until the Galaxy s I9100 splash screen shows, then immediately let all buttons go and it will take you into recovery) from there you use the volume rocker to make selection and home key to enter selection. There is an option to factory reset in this recovery menu.
Hope that helps...
Thanks for the reply but the problem is the screen has broke so it wont display anything.

Did you setup the samsung security tracking? You can do a remote wipe of the phone with it via samsungdive.com

Maybe you can get a MHL adapter and plug it on your TV, I wonder if it works if its on recovery mode.
Hi,
Thank you for samsungdive.com website. Couldn't find this.

goto recovery
press VOL DOWN twice, press power button
press VOL UP 5 times, press power button
Would it not be easier to flash a stock firmware via ODin .
Vol Down + Power + Home wait a second or two then volume up .
Connect cable and flash stock or original rom .

Are you trying to go into download mode with the phone ON, or OFF?
To go to download mode:
1. turn phone off
2. hold Vol-Down + Home
3. while holding above buttons, push and hold power
4. should get a screen with green text saying something like "to continue, push Vol-Up, to reboot, push Vol-Down"
Get a USB Jig! They are really cheap
Solved! I've tryed with home+volume down+on/off button, and it worked. When i do volume down+home+on/off, it always pass download mode. Strange...

Don't release the buttons until you see download mode.

Hey guys, I just got my rooted and S-Off'd DNA! I checked and it has root and I checked and it is S-Off. The phone came to me with Torrented's ROM on it. But when I hold the volume up button and the power button, it won't boot into recovery. I get the white HTC splash screen and then it reboots again into the splash screen again. If I let go, it will reboot into the phone like normal.
Am I doing something wrong? There should be a custom recovery installed already correct?
Thanks!

That worked, thanks a ton! Damn, I feel dumb lol.
I also noticed that if you have the fast boot/shutdown option checked that it is harder to get into the bootloader.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
For anyone else coming through, you should disable fast boot to get into recovery. Also, when in doubt, use adb: "adb reboot bootloader"
Booting Into Recovery
OOR, you can turn off phone completly, then turn back on as you hear the first vibrate-let go of power, then hold Volume down. (Sameo Samo...:fingers-crossed
Or, he can get a Note2.
I have fastboot selected and access bootloader everytime by holding power button, capacitive buttons flash and pop up counts down to reboot, as soon as the pop up comes up continue to hold power down and press and hold vol down till bootloader is displayed
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
If you have adb set up, a simple way to do this is to just run "adb reboot recovery"

New day new problem mate! (just kidding)
Did you install any mods? Are you sure it's not releated with the debloat you made?
EDIT: I found also this guide for force shut down:
1.Power + Vol Up + wait for 3 rumbles (make it 4 if you count the first standalone rumble)
2.It will be a total shutdown and you can start your phone normally by pressing Power key again...
Factory reset helped. Sill dont know what was the problem.
