Hi,
Which is the best Jelly Bean ROM available now for Xperia X10?
I know there are few based on X10z and Slim Bean ROMs available. Which is best based on:
- performance
- daily use / stability
- functionality

Thanks
But I wanted some experts opinions
There are no jb roms are stable enough at the moment to use as a daily rom in my opinion! I understand scritchs jb rom is not too bad but does have fc's like other jb roms! And no jb rom has hw video working But there is none that cuts the mustard as there is simply not enough ram to run jelly bean on the x10 without it crawling to a Holt!
I had the x10 for 2 and a half years but due to the limitations I have moved on to the nexus s same age but better hardware and most importantly (more ram) with an official jb on stock, aosp, cm & miui and are cheap to buy second hand!
I'm not trying to put the x10 down I loved mine but due to the ram limitations it should stick to gb based or ics at a push!
Remember this is my opinion and i came to this conclusion after flashing every jb & ics based rom that was released!
I hope I can eat my words as the x10 is every bit sexy today as it was when released in 2010! and I know there are some special devs on here working hard to bring everyone a fully fledged and fast jb rom (champion swimmer) (scritch) and others who deserve all the respect and donations for coffee to keep them up all night to polish these roms!

The Feralab JB v1 rom is going pretty good. It runs CM10 and android 4.1.2. No crashes so far.

I am using X10 Z lite game edition ROM available in XDA with JB 4.1.2 version. It is very stable. Except camcorder everything else works fine and smooth. Good free system and RAM space and performance is also good. It is good for daily use.
maybe you can use feralab v2 JB here : feralab.ru/beans.html
Hello,
@venreddy: you also have the Xperia Z rom from Vasishta Reddy, that is very cool. I use it daily and I don't have reboot whereas I had some on my stock rom in 2.3.3.
I also tried the Xperia X10 Z FULL HD GAMEING capable edition rom from zahid5h and it also is smooth and stable.
Don't download his last version because there are some problems during the flashing. I tried it yesterday. I will wait for his new release.
Is there any good pure AOSP or pure CM 4.1.x (or 4.2.x) based rom?!?!

Hello guys, I am looking for a rom for my new S3. Since I am coming from Nexus S, I really enjoy the stock JB look. My question is, is there any rom that looks stock as JB, but is also preferably not AOSP/AOKP, CM based? Thanks in advance

There are several, the most stock like are JB AOSP and SuperNexus, Cyanogen Mod 10 and Ressurection Remix and Paranoid android 4.1.2 are more advanced options with overclocking, modding the notofication tray and more.

I was exactly in your situation (coming from Nexus S) and I ended up using SuperNexus.
But you have to take into account that SuperNexus (as many other AOSP roms derived from CyanogenMod, which try to leverage the SGS3 hardware) will not give you some Samsung proprietary functionalities (e.g. radio, Samsung camera app, etc.).
I also tried CodecROM, which comes from the opposite direction (a Samsung rom with an AOSP look), but I found it already too customised (even selecting the minimum customisation in the Aroma installation) and strongly themed.
I'm still looking for a perfect combination, i.e. a Samsung-based stock rom with a minimal AOSP (Nexus) look.
Anyone with a good recommendation?
I am using sotmax stock jellybean v8, has stock looks with many modifications, very stable, I use siyah kernel
If you're just caring about looks, get a launcher on top of any rom with stock jb theme.

CM10 Limited Edition is fastest rom i've tried but sometimes keyboard disappear and apps reboot
Hi guys i am planning to build a stock kitkat rom
But i am confused between Aosp 4.4 & CM 11
As many of the things has to be fixed in AOSP
I planned to build with CM 11
But AOSP has good ram management and better sound quality.
So help me in finding the good ROM to build stock kitkat

thanks for replay
suggest any xperia stock app other than media and home
like dailer,camera...
You mean, "stock like" ?? Since it is impossible to build a stock ROM without sources of Sony libs.
I think you should wait for a more stable version of the AOSX before attempting. Even Sony stock 4..4 apps are not available until Z2 is launched. Only some pre-release apps are available from the Z2 dump. So better wait.
And good luck fixing the LED bar.

If you want clean Android:
Either CM 11 or CM 12 (CM12 is more buggy, but it's android Lollipop)
If you don't care about clean android, I would recommend a Custom ROM based on stock, I use eXistenZ ROM because of Stamina mode

Your thread will be probably locked soon, as admins don't like "best ROM" threads, but for now here's my opinion.
I consider dixperia rom a nice one.
I'm using it for 3 months and man, it's fast, stable, has all stock sony stuff + when you use xposed it's everything you need to be happy.

I have lock bootloader and i try only stock based roms. But my favourites are eXistenZ (for functionalities...is very complete...i never seen a stock rom with a lot of functionality implemented by dev),Moonwalker Revolution (very beautiful material design theme of rom and apps...and some good options like walkman and movie in ultra-stamina mode ),Envi-rom (is simple rom but excellent tweeks , updated drivers and very good configuration for best phone experience ), EXR freedom(stock based rom with some extra from z3,tweeks, and dolby sound ) and EXR z3 port (my actual rom... best z3 experience, with superb battery life, dolby digital and some xposed utilities ). Those roms are very stable...for now i want unlock my bootloader because for me is ok i have everything and rock stability, performance and battery life
Stock or Envi-Rom
Stock - it doesnt mess up after 1 year and i can reach absurd uptimes
Envi-Rom - performs amazing vs stock without battery life being effected
I prefer stock Sony rom. and there'll be official lollipop update for our phones soon.
I just bought this phone today and i have installed 4.1.2 Official ROM. Is this the Latest Version? What about Custom ROM's?

Latest android is 5.1.1 on this phone (not stock). I recommend omni 5.1.1 for a beginner for stability
Last official ROM is based on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. There will be no more official updates (the phone is 4 years old... I hope you bought it for cheap).
The good news is that, despite being old, stock ROM works good, so in most cases there is no need to flash a custom ROM.
If you want to try a newer custom ROM, AFAIK latest one is Lysergic Acid's CyanogenMod 12.1 .
Don't expect it to be as stable as stock ROM, though.

I bought it for 50 €. What about Speed and Overclocking on Custom ROM? Is it faster than Stock ROM for Gaming and Performance? 4.1.2 works perfect without problems.

Then you struck a bargain. :good:
I never tried overclocking and I just started trying custom ROM myself, so I can't help you.
The only thing I can say is that CyanogenMod 12.1 by Lysergic Acid is slightly faster than last official ROM, but it is not as stable.

If you want overclocking, you need to install a custom kernel like dorimanx kernel (up to kitkat) or gustavo (up to lollipop). If you need speed, lollipop isn't for you (still unpolished and unstable). Kitkat is currently the best option for speed, stability and compatibility. As for a good combo for rom and kernel, have a look at my sig

I think that this i91000 is a good machine... it has a lot of customs roms... kernels.... this phone.... remember me to my old motorola defy plus... an other phone whit a lot of custom roms.... I am very happy whit this terminal....may be not a grand phone whit a big hard... but it has a world of oportunities selcting roms.
Sorry for my bad english.
By the way.... based in a stock rom.. you have Neatrom.... 4.1.2 or based on stock rom has low Consumption and work more light.... then 4.4.4 kitkat y better but spend more battery (no much... you would test it)... for me... the best performance and smothly are the roms based on 4.1.2. but.... but.... but... every phone is a different world.
