Ok i have a prob. Android's eq engine does not seem to be working anymore on my galaxy s3 stock rom 4.1.1 root.
It used to work a bit ago but yedsterday i opened up the double twist player and went to the eq and it said "an unknown error occurred when trying to initialize the android eq engine...". So i tried downloading a couple eq apps off the store, they all crashed at startup.
The question is (i know we're not supposed to be talking about warez here but this is different) i cracked the app a while ago, i tested it and liked it, and then i bought it (in app purchases, the app is free itself but to unlock eq and other stuff u need inapp purchs) on topof the original version. So thats not the problem....what could it be?

Because i noticed under extweaks(or stweaks) i have speaker and headphone equalizer enabled...and a bunch of other sound stuff too...

Ok...but it was working a while ago....
maybe with some tweaking google android's eq got messed up...how to get it?

nothing else to do then. why not backup and factory reset? and if it helps, retore from titanium?

Okay im gonna try the nandroid backup reset restore thingy tonight but chances are...it wont work...most probably...

Edit: Cyanogenmod's profiles seemed to be corrupt. Making a new profile & selecting it fixed the problem.
So my phone has been fine, up until now. Whenever I restart my phone running CM9 my notification and ring tone sounds get reset to 'unknown ring tone'.
I'm on the latest nightly build, is there a fix? Thanks.

it does happen so if ur using custom ringtones, place the same file's in system/media/audio under respective folder's(ringtone and notification folder's) then set permissions accordingly and see

Does nobody know? I've flashed a Samsung based ROM and the music player fails to find any music or folders. Maybe the SD card isn't named correctly?

Thanks. Tried all 3 solutions and none worked, ringtones still reset, the gallery is still empty, and so is the music player.

Use a file explorer/manager to to check if your media folders are still there.

I was running foxhound rom1.3 and I used to get the effect of DSP manager on stock music player and video player(stock). But when I came into 1.5 version, its supported only in Apollo or Google play music play. I'm hugely disappointed about this. That effect in the video player was simply awesome. Is there any method to bring it back? Can someone help??

I installed the ROM without selecting the optional beats audio. Then used this mod.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1945535. Now I have beats audio also in stock apps. The beats audio which came with the ROM was not providing effect for the stock players. Now I have the effect in video player also.

Hi there whats going on i have a problem with contacts and phone application when i open phone to dial its delay for 2seconds then apear the dial pad and the same problem for the contacts i don't know what to do i get disspointed and i tried to format the contacts and restore them again and still have the same problem thanx my best regards

Try to restart yr phone or clear the data of the app s that is creating prob...please tnx if it works

Hi, I'm currently changing ROMs and now I'm trying AOSP based ROM like Slimbean or Beanstalk. Those ROMs are great but I encountered a problem that I can't play HD videos on them. HD videos with big size usually lags especially when I fast forwarded or rewind it, but on Sammy ROM I can play HD videos without any issues. Is this a common problem or there's a solution for this issue? Any help will be much appreciated, thanks before

What player u using? I suggest using mxplayer, it's DA BEST, PERIOD. U can use it to switch from hardwware to software decoding, and viceversa. First try it, then see if problem persists and report here with as many details as u can.

Kay.....weird....
Try 2 things for me:
1)make sure in mxplayer you switch from hw to sw decoding and viceversa while watching a video (theres a button)
2)go to settings, dev options and enable gpu drawing for screen instead of cpu. (There are 2 options about gpu enabling, enable both of them it should speed up ur cell first of all)

No lag. i was on cyanogen...may i suggest you do not use aosp roms as they are not currently stable enough for s3 and not best choice at all. samsung based roms are much better, i suggest using Foxhound, but if you do remember the latest version (2.4) has a bug in one of the tweaks: when you install it it asks a bunch of stuff, a new tweak that has been added is "crossbreeder", do not install it it wont work, dunno why cuz foxhound is very stable itself, theyll fix it next version for sure anyways....

My mom's S3 I9300 suddenly lost connection in the facebook app, either via wifi or data..
i tried using chrome to login facebook in the phone, it seems fine..
other apps like whatsapp, play store are working fine too..
Any one know what could be the problem??
It seems like before this incident there was some update from samsung, but i'm not sure what update was it..

Have u tried other apps alternative to facebook? Have u tried forgetting and connecting the Wifi? Last resort is to try to factory reset if u rly wan to use the app.

Under Settings> Application Manager > All > Check if SNS is present .
If not..... Place it From some other ROM into system/app/ ....... and set permissions . See if that helps . I had some Similar problem and this had worked for me den. Give it a Try
