Hello XDA:
I have looking for a mod to get multitask with all apps for a long time. I have seen that a partner here develop a framework, and with it any deodexed roms (and a few odex, not my version for example) got all apps in multitask. I have read post where you have to decompile the apks and modify it to work in multitask...
All unsuported or so difficult for me.
But looking the note 10 forum i have found this app. You only have to install it (root needed) and works 100% and greats! (No lag)
This is the link for the free app : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bjbinc.multiwindowmanager
This app modify your flashbarservice.
I write this post for newbies like me that cant found the solution for that problem.
Best regards!

Hey mates, I got a question:
How can I modify the icons of an app? I want to modify the icons only from system apps....
I already searched this forum for a thread, but didnt find one, if you know i would be happy about a link
I know that there is an app that "changes icons of apps", but it only creates custom shortcuts, I need "real" new icons...
Hope you can help me

Quick and dirty method:
Download 7zip to your computer. Take the apk you want (camera, for example) onto your computer and open (not decompress) it with 7zip. Find any instances of icon.PNG within all the folders inside the res/ folder. Check their pixel dimensions. Ensure the PNG file you want to use is the same as the original file's. Copy New file and replace the original file in 7zip. Back out of the (example:camera) app using the back button in 7zip. That should do it. If it is an app like settings.apk or any other system dependant app, you need to flash it in recovery (best to just do it this way, regardless). Search the forum for instructions on that. If it is a system app updated via the market (gmail, maps, etc) you will have to redo this every time it updates.
Better method: find a thread here on how to theme, and change the above png using their instructions.
Wow thank you very much
it is systemapps that i want to change to original, i just came to the idea that i could also flash the original apps, I am stupid -.-
but i want to make my own theme anyways so thanks again

No prob. Read all you can! There is a lot of info on theming here, and several methods and programs available to help. I've tried several tutorials and did successfully make one theme.. the learning process is a bit painful. So start small and simple. Also an easy tip to remember: if you theme an app that is a paid app from anywhere, do not share it!!
I have no paid apps only a few books, but not really need them...
so, i wont even come to the idea to edit and share one

Enable NFC while screen locked/Off
Tested on my stock ROM LL7, but should work on odexed/deodexed ROM
Install :
credit goes to developer (i got it from non XDA source)
Known bug :
Crashes Nfc with browser.
Look Here

excellent!!! thank you so much, this works for me on my stock, rooted, GT-7100
edit: but indeed, the browser keeps crashing the nfc service
edit2: same with chrome as well
Seems to crash on launching YouTube videos as well. There is another method through XposedFramework which might be worth a shot, then install the relevant addon:

- delete Nfc.odex from system/app (for odexed ROM only)
- Overwrite downloaded Nfc.apk to system/app (device may rebooted itself)

Any updates on this? I installed it on my stock SHN n7100 last night and it caused it to constantly lock up on reboot, as the NFC process kept crashing. Ended up having to flash the stock rom back on to fix it.
On custom LK7, no go.
FC on browser. Really hope there's a fix to this soon.
i take it that there's no custom ROM with this feature that we can ask the developer for help on this?
I am sure one day the dev will look into this. This mod gonna make NFC experience so much better. Our S3 counterparts are surely enjoying the freedom of this feature.

Apk updated
it seems better than older
priorly it was FC for browser, market, contact. youtube
I have tested newer one.
latest one gives single FC when opening browser.
Edit : read post#14
Thanks, so only one FC when opening the browser, once it's done that, you can use the browser happily?
I have used Opera and got FC while open it, then i have surf for 3-4 min, and was no FC
as well No FCs on contacts/youtube or play store.
i have opened 3-4 time each application.
Edit :
sorry,
when tried to update from market and selected one contact, it started FCs.
So we have to wait little longer
Sorry again.
pushed the updated apk. still fc at contacts. thanks for the efforts though. appreciate it. guess we gotta wait a little longer. ..

Guys, head over here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37145515
no FCs so far, yet!
ok, but what have you got that working on? does it work on stock note II GT-N7100, i.e. not sprint, verizon et al
mine is international n7100 rooted. DLL7. I can confirm its working perfectly as 24 hrs of usage.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
great thanks, in my limited 2 minute testing, this is working for me as well on my stock rooted international n7100 (N7100XXDLL4_N7100VFGDLL2_VOD).
NFC works whilst on lock screen but not with screen off. Works fine when phone is unlocked too.
Have you tried that mod + xposed tweak
It having option to select behaviour and with this mod, xposed may support it.

I don't know how to explain it, but I want the MMS apk like the one shown here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/deviceForum/screenshots/1055/20130327T094824.jpg
Is the one you gave me the same one, but appears different on my phone because I'm running CM?
Ah....I don't think the stock mms apk will work on CM as the apk needs the touchwiz framework in order to function.....
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
not sure what touchwiz is, but I'm guessing there is no workaround or way to get the stock mms apk to install on CM roms?
Thanks for your help Keith. Appreciate it!
Touchwiz is the Samsung launcher. It is what gives Samsung phones their look and feel....the user framework of the device. Porting parts of that framework to non Samsung ROMs simply will not work.......
As an alternative, you could look for apps in the themes and apps section for an app which has been made to look like 'stock' but which functions on a non stock ROM......
Or....
You could go for a whole new ROM..... one of the 'hybrid' ones.....a stock based ROM but without the bloat and with aosp/aokp functionality. I've used two and am still using one of them....chamelion and aliance.....I'm not going to recommend either as that's against XDA rules, but both of them will let you download themes and tweaks that let you customize the look of the base ROM so that it can resemble (or not) the full stock package........

OK so I have this ROM I want to edit for the galaxy nexus I have a bunch of apps that I have on the rom that fix a lot of the issues people have with the ROM. I did some research before and it said to decompile the app and recompile it in the settings.apk of the ROM. Unfortunately I don't even know how to do that plus I want to make the app look like it was originally part of the ROM as the method above leaves the app with the same name and icon and sometimes let you go into android settings and access it but in general it just makes it a system widget which I don't want to do. Anyways any help is appreciated, and please bear with me its my first time doing it and I just gained interest to do it a short week ago

Hey Guys!! I am really happy to inform you that google now launcher is fully compatible with our galaxy grand quattro/win.. pls follow the below steps carefully and enjoy the google experience!
1. go to the link http://d-h.st/f6b and download launcher 4.4 .zip.
2. Now download 'libgoogle_recognizer_jni_l.zip' attached to this thread and extract it.
Copy the 'libgoogle_recognizer_jni_l.so' to system/lib in your mobile (since i use Jasp Next Level Rom, i made use of Root Browser in "ROM TOOLBOX LITE".)
overwrite the file if need be...
You can skip this step as i heard this is not necessary but i did follow it
3.Extract the launcher 4.4.zip...Now First install velvet.apk and then PrebuiltGmsCore.apk and lastly GoogleHome.apk.. dont worry if the google search force closes.. carry on..
4.Now after u install the GoogleHome, go to playstore and update ur google search and google playservices....
And thats it everything works perfectly!!
source:-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2506488
Even without that it was working properly man I am on Google experience launcher for 3 months now there haven't been any problem
recognizer zip is not required at all.
Start with Google Search 3.2+, and Google Now Launcher initializes itself.
I've been using it since it first came out on nexus 5.
Exactly man same here
Duh! I feel like a complete idiot now... :crying: Anyways i hope this wil help those who aren't aware of it...

And one thing more is, there any screen lock app that resembles the google experience launcher style or nexus sty. ..?

No, icon arrangement in app drawer is probably still under progress, in Xposed GEL Settings.
You can use AOSP Lockscreen from Xposed.
