When I first got my phone and did the ics update u had no issues until someone told me I have the Asian version he sent me a Asian firmware when I flashed it I noticed I had 4g instead of hspa+ could it be cuz my phone was unlocked that's why I was able to update to ics? Sorry I'm a noob at this

Oh but why did it let me update to ics? I was reading the forums that ppl with Asian phones they would have gotten stuck on the bootloader now don't get me wrong I have gotten stuck when flashing Roma but I just reflash them and 9 times out of 10 I have to flash my faux kernel to get them to work

So what is the next option if you like samsung phones. Droid Charge or Galaxy S II (If it ever makes it to verizon).

Guess they were as informed about 4g at the time as they were bought the new froyo 2.2 w flash that was goin 2 be released at the end of that month lol.... Verizon reps suck

Hmm... looks like this has to be in the Q&A section too. No, there is no update zip of sprint files that will allow you to gain 4G with an unlocked bootloader on the photon. You have to flash your rom and then re-lock your bootloader to gain 4G. You will still have your ROM and locked bootloader.
Read the forum threads and post in the correct forum please.

I think the premium suite is just an upgrade to the s pen apps we already had...It's a bigger deal in the US as I don't think they had them on gingerbread.

Hey Bud,
I too am using a Rogers Branded Galaxy Note w/ Bell Rom on Bells network and had no issues upgrading at all! My bell MobileTv app still works crystal clear!
Dessert for Breakfast is always SWEEEEEEET!
Got my update! Running perfectly. My Bell Note is a lot smoother now.

Actually, I am using a Bell Phone with a rooted, unlocked Bell ROM on the Telus Network...
A little different than your setup, but should work for me as yours did.
At least I hope so!
Upgrade was a succes!! Just powered on the phone and there was the notification for the ICS update!

OTA wifi. Or you can use 251MB of your data if you want. :-D
Your modem/baseband needs to be stock GB I believe in order for the update to pickup. This was the case for a co-worker's Note that I flashed. (rogers)

All those features, except the emergency contacts one, are available in SnowLeopard's JB ROM. I didn't know about the new gallery options until now though, so I'm glad I watched that video.

The you'll have to get one that runs LTE on the 1700mhz band. AT&T uses the 700 mhz band.
