[Dev Help] Cap FPS to 60 MTK6577/JB 4.1.2 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, i was trying to raise limit the 45fps cap on our device (imobile iq6). I've already looked for similar threads here but most of them involves only editing the build.prop file. PimpMyRom also does not work.
Currently, I'm looking in our boot.img file, have extracted it and read most of the props. Unfornately no info about vsync, fps limit known to me.
Do you guys know any other way to raise the limit of the fps to 60? Or could at least point me to any other references.
Thanks!

[Q] Streak Build Prop edit for improved 3G speed?

Is there something I'm missing about editing build prop for the Streak?
I searched and I can't find any threads about it specifically. All are with other phones and my build prop file doesn't contain any of the strings they suggest I edit. Do I need to add something to it manually?
Can anyone provide me a basic guide for how to improve my 3G/H speeds using my Streak?
I'm not sure why, but even though I do get a 3G and H connection, my upload speed is HIGHER than my average download!
That can't be right.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
This thread and this thread cover the speed edits.
If the value is not there you can add it. Make a backup of the original.

[Q] Changing audio resampling in Android by modifying buid.prop

I have seen a multitude of websites and audio mods which provide mixed opinions on the following line found in build.prop:
af.resampler.quality=X
And also adding a line to build.prop called:
af.resample=X
Do either of these actually make a difference to the processing of Audio in Android (note: I am using a Nexus 4, if that makes any difference)? And because "af.resampler.quality=4" was already part of build.prop (I'm running stock Android 4.3), does anyone know for fact what the parameters for this option are?
Thanks to all replies in advance!
UPDATE: If there's another forum where there's a better chance of me getting a reply, please do move it. Thank You.
Sorry, had to bump to keep the thread up.
Sorry, had to bump yet again. Would really like answers to this Q. Isn't there anyone with experience on this topic?
i would like to know and i notice that this isn't on my HP Touchpad by default.

[Q] can we change jpg compression

I'm thinking and wondering if changing a value in the build.prop will make for better pics? I've been able to do it in the past but lat time I did it was with the gs2. As you can imagine, im rusty. Before I attempt this, has anyone else tried removing all the compression? Did it make a difference? What value did we have to change again?
I saw something that improved the camera that could be flashed in recovery. But I'm on a gpe ROM and I don't know if it'll work. Not gpe conversion, just the ROM.
Thanks
From my understanding its hardcoded into the camera apk, build props dont work any longer...may be able to improve the quality of the pics being taken a bit by modifying the system\etc\media_profiles.xml

[Q] How to log FPS everywhere?

Hi All,
I'm looking for an app or a piece of code where I can get the FPS in any application or even in the home screen. I've seen FPS Meter but it seems to be very inaccurate. Furthermore, I want to be able to log FPS frequently, i.e. every one second and I don't want to see the FPS only on the screen.
Has anyone seen anything similar to what I am looking for?
Thanks,
I am wondering the same thing. Please help..
