Sent from my Evo 3D GSM using xda app-developers app

Flash a sense 3.6 rom and tell me if it's working.

i have flashed sense 3.6 rom dont have a stock rom but tried yoda's ics, cool ics and some how sad ics. Sad ICS wasn't working at all i.e bootloop but other two are working perfectly except camera

Doh, cam must be broken. Sounds like a hardware problem. Ofc you can try flashing a RUU, maybe that will help, not sure though.

[Q] Camera App Crashes

Hey all, got a question about my camera. Basically, it won't work and I'm not sure why haha. I'm kind of a noob when it comes to these things just FYI.
So, I flashed viper rom and the camera doesn't work, however, it didn't work with my previous rom either which was CM7. When I open the camera app it just immediately crashes. I'm running stock kernel, the newest build of viper rom, hboot 1.4.
Any help is appreciated and if there's any other info you need please ask!
Thanks a lot.

[Q] HTC EVO 3D reboots every 30 minutes

Hello guys,
I installed CoolICS rom after I was on LeeDroid with Sense 3.0
After installation my phone started rebooting every 30 minutes. I restored LeeDroid one from nandroid backup.
Is it possible that this behaviour is caused by restore of some apps from Titanium Backup?
I was doing some debugging using the Android Monitor from tdk, but right before the reboot there was no error message.
I am running latest firmware and lates 4ext recovery.
I really want to go for ICS or Jelly Bean.
Thanks for your help!
actually it reboots after LeeDroid nandroid restore. Is it possible to be the new firmware?
You should try running Cool ICS for a while with only basic setup and no TB apps restored for while and see if the problem persists. I'm not familiar with the app you mentioned, but have you been able to pull a logcat after you have the reboots?

Hi ramjet73,
I flashed KingCobra3D-ICS 1.6. I installed only 3 apps from the google market. After approximatelly 3.5 hours of uptime, I got a reboot. Unfortunatelly I was not home and i did not get the catlog. Now, I am waiting for reboot to happen again and will attach the catlog here.
Thanks for help.

sounds like its your firmware dude. i had an issue like that as well. get a freeza all in one zip for radio and reflash your radio but find one that is for your setup. it looks like you are GSM is that correct?. just my opinion or if your using a modded kernel make sure your not going to far up on overclocking it can cause bootloops.

Hi man,
Thanks for answering.
I flashed the suggested firmware in the post for the ROM I am using:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1647674
I downloaded firmware from the link in Install section on post #1. I am running GSM indeed. I have installed only basic Sense stuff from the ROM without any AOSP functionality.
Since I am not really good in this, may you please advise which Firmware will be OK for me.
As for the kernel - it is the Stock one.
Regards
Hello,
So, I flashed latest Radio from following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1218196
And all is OK now. No reboots . I had uptime of 12 hours and rebooted to perform nandroid backup. Now I am at 5:30 hours uptime.
Thanks for all your help!
Actually, any known issues with Radio 11.77.3504.00U_11.25.3504.06_M
It was the one that made my phone reboot. I rollbacked to 10.53.9020.00_10.13.9020.08_2M - Isn't this for Gingerbread (I am running ICS)
Thanks!
Maybe you can flashing another roms or kernel

Hello,
I flashed 3 ROMs - the same with all of them. ROMs are Evolver 3D, KingCobra 3D (one that i am running now) and CoolICS 3D. With each, I flashed the kernel that came with it. My device was rebooting with all of them. It is only after I flashed 10.53.9020.00_10.13.9020.08_2M . that my device stopped rebooting.

Will I still have the same issue? please drop by and read =D thanks

last time, i was on ics i rooted my my phone and got recovery mode so i flashed cm 7.2 to my phone, it reboots after several hours and reboots after i ended a call so i flashed to gingerbread now. if i flash to cm7.2 again will the same problem occur? i thought it might be the problem that i flash cm7 from ICS because cm7 is base on GB.
hope to see some help here.
thanks!
why dont you you back everything up and jump to Jellybean?!??
if you're flashing roms already you may aswell take a look at some of the latest offerings

Sgs2 camera flash problem!

Ok, so ive had a couple of problems with my recently bought Sgs2, ive got all the other problems fixed except this one: when i turn on the camera app, the flash goes on and off once, the same happens when i turn off the camera. Its a very fast flash that occurs.. it doesnt matter what camera app i use, it does it everytime.. the flash does work properly during camera use if needed, and works normally as a torch.
It doesnt bother me much, but would be nice to get fixed..
Any ideas?
If your using a custom jb rom then it's normal. It's a known bug.

Im using SlimICS 4.2+ Siyah 5.0.1
So he said.... That if You using not stock rom flash bug be...
Looks like he said: if its a custom JB rom, the bug occurs. Im using ICS and the same thing happened before i even flashed a custom rom. The phone was running a stock Samsung GB rom then..
"He" has a name
And if u said it happened before flashing roms, Then it must be a hardware issue.

I have the same problem, that the flash will light up shortly when the camera app closed, and when I read the last comments it seems that this is a known issue for quite a while.
How does it come that this is not fixed yet. I'm using custom roms now for a few month now and from the beginning I was wondering about the strange flash behaviour compared to the stock rom.
Is it because there is still no official release from Samsung for JB or why is it so difficult to fix? Are the camera drivers closed source?

Guys, it has got nothing to do with the hardware, its a random one that happens with all ICS and JB based custom roms
@Sun90
If you read the whole thread , i had the problem before custom roms with a 100% stock Samsung GingerBread rom..

have u tried flashing a Stock ICS rom (v4.0.3) and seen for the issue
if not give it a try and see, just to confirm whether its really a hardware issue or a software one
nothing to loose though, if the problem gets resolved for u it would be fine right
do a clean wipe before installing.

I used to get that on my x10i with certain roms.Definitely a software problem.
Same issue here, came about randomly day before yesterday. LED flashes once, quickly, whenever something tries to activate it.
Only ever used stock soft/firmware, and Chainfire's kernel. Cleared all caches, tried factory reset, problem persisted.
Flashed to whatever the latest ICS is for H3G today, problem still persists, I shall try official kernel tomorrow, see if that fixes it -- I don't hold much hope.

Hardware problem or Software?

Hi guys,I installed WanamLite ROM 6.6 and Perseus kernel 36.3 with undervolt settings. My phone is ASV6 type. I had problem with my camera. It says "Can't connect to camera". I also tried third party camera like Camera360 and the Nexus 4 camera.
I installed AOSP ROMs like Temasek's CM10.1 with his kernel. But still no luck. The rest of things are working fine.
I flashed back to Stock ROM with latest 4.1.2 jellybean firmware.
But the weird thing is, why the camera are working only Stock ROM? It is still working although I rooted it.
Any ideas?
EDIT: I was thinking that it is a kernel issue, so I tried to flash other kernel. But still didn't work.
EDIT 2: Typo " why the camera are working only Stock ROM?"
Actually for AOSP roms the error is quite a know problem. Nevertheless Wanam is based on Samsung TW, hence camera should work fine.

Thanks for replying, FYI I've flashed MIUI ROM v4 for a while. Still does't work. So I can confirm that I have the problem when installing a custom ROM.
