ZRAM and SWAP file:
- Not use any of them, ROM will work fast, but will have low multitasking and can get self reboots caused low free RAM
- Create ZRAM partition, ZRAM it's a virtual SWAP in the RAM, much faster then classic SWAP, but will slow down a little. Recommended if you have slow speed SD card.
- Create SWAP file, SWAP file will be created every boot on your SD card in new place. It is highly recommended with size 128Mb+. Class 6+ SD card recommended.
- Mount SWAP partition, Only if this partition already present on your SD card. It is highly recommended with size 256Mb+. Class 6+ SD card recommended. Require manual format and creating EXT3/4 partition on SD card.
ZRAM or SWAP file size:
- 32 Mb, ZRAM only. Recommended to increase multitasking

Factory Reset, Note: This option will wipe all user data
Tips:
- If your SD card is 6+ class speed, then I highly recommend to use SWAP file 128Mb+ (256 better). It will improve ROM speed and usability. You can create swap file during choosing installation option. Or create SWAP partition on your SD card by yourself.
- ZRAM is partial solution for slow SD cards, and ZRAM bigger then 96Mb is not recommended. 64Mb is better.
Issues and how to solve it:
- If you install SuperSU, but can't get root: Go to SuperSu settings and remove "Respect CM root settings" selection, or set "Default access" to Grand. First is better.
- Time to time you can find self reboot - it is caused end of free RAM. Them use SWAP 128-256Mb option during install
- If you have reboots after Pin code enter, please disable pin code request on other phone or other ROM. Unfortunately it doesn't fixed completely yet.
- If you have troubles with auto-brightness, please try previous kernel version
- Desktop rebooting time to time - it is caused by Weather BZ application. Add it to autorun, or delete if you didn't use it.
- Hard enter to recent applications by HOME button - enter to settings - buttons - disable "recent applications" option by holding HOME button, or set another time.

MIUIv5 CM10 porting stopped.
As xiaomi stop optimizing his ROM for old 512 Mb RAM devices.
I hope everything change and we will met again, But now I'm stop porting.
Last good version for everyday were up to 3.8.16 version.

hi i flashed MIUI5_3.3.29_NEO_EN_beta.zip first and then MIUI5_3.3.29_NEOV_fix_EN.zip.
the rom is really good,better than miui4 i must say.
I know u said the bugs will b fixed afterwards,but here are the list of minor graphical bugs that i found:
1:the dial pad keys aren't proper.
2:the repeat button is kinda small and the prev,play and forward button looks disoriented.
3:at such popups the buttons don't appear.
4:the status bar gets stuck this way and the only option is to reboot the phone.
5:the photos clicked by the camera is purple...even a blue colored wall looks purple.
6:the hardware button lights are mostly on(any way to keep them off?)
7:within 4 hours of using the rom my battery was 55%.
hope u fix the bugs soon

ad. 4: i had the same bug on miui4 jb and sjb 3.0. Recent apps doesn't work too right? Other option than to reboot was to reset statusbar (e.g. Change something regarding statusbar in control panel)

I also want to appreciate the good work that made my neo v to run this wonderful rom but one more bug left i want to bring in notice is that sometimes during incoming call, the incoming call screen appears without call accept and reject buttons yet the touch for call end and reject works without button icons

Error with play store.
I flased gapps and the same error.
And it is not a problem with update the weather.bz app , I tryed to install a new app and the same error.
Later edit: Everything is good now, flashed google play services.
The Data usage app is useless, doesn't do nothing, he didn't block the connection to the net. Old network assistant from MIUI4 was working well. Maybe you look into.
LLE: All it's good now, seems to be something with the backup from MIUI4 that i have.

HOW TO:
How o Install MIUIv4:
1) Download & copy ROM file to your SD-card
2) Download and flash any ICS kernel for your phone. (you can find some of them here)
3) Enter in to CWM and do factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache.
4) Flash ROM using "Install zip from SD-card" (Use Install for Locked boot option in ROM setup if your use kernel without Init.d support, and for Unlocked boot if it support)
5) Install Wi-Fi modules if this require your kernel (optional) (some kernels require modules to WiFi works, but not all)
6) Reboot your phone.

What Base band do you use? I have tried with baseband 70 and found very big energy grown. Re-flash with BB64 and all right now 1% per night

MIUI2 - yes based on GB.
Don't wait for changelog - I can't find it at all. Only for MIUI4
New MIUI 2.4.20 based on newest FXP117. Performance great. Doesn't work as usually - Radio, HDMI, HotSpot.

Settings.apk work well for now.
Titanium backup too. But I didn't restore applications, only data.
Miui control I never used. Don't know what it is.
This is multi-language ROM but Its translated with translation program and all widgets in Russian and didn't switch back

All versions are updated

Line 217 is about zram.. I used kernel with Zram Support.

Unfortunately no, as this ROM based on stock SE FW. Good news - everything works: radio, wifi, hdmi, etc...

- Create ZRAM partition, ZRAM it's a virtual SWAP in the RAM, much faster then classic SWAP, but will slow down a little. Recommended if you have slow speed SD card.
- Create SWAP file, SWAP file will be created every boot on your SD card in new place. It is highly recommended with size 128Mb+. Class 6+ SD card recommended.
- Mount SWAP partition, Only if this partition already present on your SD card. It is highly recommended with size 256Mb+. Class 6+ SD card recommended. Require manual format and creating EXT3/4 partition on SD card.

- Delete Voice module, If you do not use this future, you can remove it. PicoTTS.apk
- Delete MIUI Video Player, If you use a third-party, you can delete this. MiuiVideoPlayer.apk
- Delete MIUI Audio Player, If you use a third-party, you can delete this. Music.apk
- Delete Animated wallpapers, Will remove 7 anim-wallpapers
- Delete Quick search and voice, Will remove Quick search box and voice dialer
- Delete MIUI Browser, If you use other Browser, or don't need this one
- Delete MIUI Gallery
- Delete MIUI Camera
Factory Reset, Note: This option will wipe all user data
Tips:
- If your SD card is 6+ class speed, then I highly recommend to use SWAP file 128Mb+ (256 better). It will improve ROM speed and usability. You can create swap file during choosing installation option. Or create SWAP partition on your SD card by yourself.
- ZRAM is partial solution for slow SD cards, and ZRAM bigger then 96Mb is not recommended. 64Mb is better.
Issues and how to solve it:
- If you install SuperSU, but can't get root: Go to SuperSu settings and remove "Respect CM root settings" selection, or set "Default access" to Grand. First is better.
- Time to time you can find self reboot - it is caused end of free RAM. Them use SWAP 128-256Mb option during install
- If you have reboots after Pin code enter, please disable pin code request on other phone or other ROM. Unfortunately it doesn't fixed completely yet.
- If you have troubles with auto-brightness, please try previous kernel version
- Desktop rebooting time to time - it is caused by Weather BZ application. Add it to autorun, or delete if you didn't use it.
- Hard enter to recent applications by HOME button - enter to settings - buttons - disable "recent applications" option by holding HOME button, or set another time.

MIUIv5 CM10 porting stopped.
As xiaomi stop optimizing his ROM for old 512 Mb RAM devices.
I hope everything change and we will met again, But now I'm stop porting.
Last good version for everyday were up to 3.8.16 version.

I don't know yet. Need to search with syslog. It is beta, don't expect more then that. If you send me files for porting, I will add it to next version as it was with MIUIv4 to install it to other devices.

Yes. Kernel is very important as MIUIv5 is locked for kernel. No other kernel will work

Finded issues:
- USB connection only in MTP mode
- Multiple Graphical issues (not serious)
- Video Recording only 640x480
- I install GAPPS then Dalvik cache will be over quoted and every reboot you will wait for app optimization.

Nope, I got "unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped" at startup, If I press OK I can see another windows with "Unfortunately, Airkan Phone has stopped" or "Unfortunately, Xiaomi service framework has stopped" or "Unfortunately, Permission Manager has stopped".

Kernel doesn't work for me, I have used this one instead: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1926299
With that kernel ROM boot into the Welcome screen but then get never ending loop of error messages like "Unfortunately, Airkan Phone has stopped", android.proces.com stopped, xiaomi service framework stopped etc...

As I sad in the first post - other kernels will not work. Please try from the first post.

But there is one issue I hate - call MUTE is not working on any MIUI rom. I need it really hardly because I attending lot of teleconferences. (((
