OK. I apologize for the repeat question, but there seems to just be way too many threads with this mentioned, and way too much sifting for me to find the answer.
I am running Das-bamf gingerbread, de-sensed stripped (which is "wicked" awesome) and I am having a problem both sending and receiving MMS. I tried going into MMS settings and changing the source from Internet to Verizon, but to no avail. Does anybody else know of a solution?

I already have an exact duplicate of this thread open, literally same problem same rom same radio etc. Why open a new one? This needs to be consolidated and focused on in one big thread. So far I'm getting mixed reports. Some people say it works fine. Others say the same no MMS of any form. So idk what to tell you.
I for one know I am tech savvy and am very comfortable with command line and working my way around software, and I know I did everything fine. So I would really like to know what magical rainbow the people who have it working are floating along on, because I'd like a ride too.
I would have posted on your thread but it was like six on three AM and I was on my first cup of coffee.
I got mms working in gingerbread but I has to switch to Cyanogenmod. O only switched becauseI couldn't get my batt to charge with the dasbamf. I will most likely go back when both those issues are worked out

Just curious if anyone has seen an improvement with a replaced phone.
I know of only one personally who has had his replaced and after two days the issue arose once again.
hey buddy, just had this happen to me right now, is it a software ? Or hardware? I restarted the phone, and it worked again... Weird!
Thanks.

You guys are aware it's a software issue that's already been fixed by Maintenance Release 3 available in the Development section, right ?
I'll never understand why so many people just jump the gun on getting devices replaced when 90% at least of issues are software in nature.

Crud I hope the Maintenance Release 3 is not the final one if the audio problem still exists. I hope Motorola is taking their time to find all the problems reported and fix them before officially releasing a maintenance release.

Probably because they want to. It was their money don't worry about it. I dont know why some jump the gun to run their mouth about stuff that isnt any of their business.
I was asking as the OP on this thread because I actually use my phone as a phone for communicating and not just playing games on it.
Kinda negates having a specific phone of it locks up and or has silent calls....so if it made sense to exchange it I would....so that I could actually use the tool I bought....ya know?
I initially had the same issue. Turned out I still had my old phone powered up. Once I turned it off and rebooted all was fine.... Maybe this works for you...

I replaced m y phone today at Best Buy and so far so good.
Strange thing is, while this is a MR1 software package, there sure are some things which are different.
The email setup for one to manually configure was completely different than my first phone.
The rear speaker is way louder than the first unit and I thought that one was loud.
The really weird part is, as soon as I opened the browser the first time and then went to load bookmarks, all of my previous bookmarks were already there. Is Google or Sprint storing this information in a cloud somewhere?
I was so taken back by this that I checked all of the various serial #'s and such to make sure they gave me the new phone, even though I watched them with it the entire time.
BTW....setting the battery to PERFORMANCE really speeds this up on this phone.

Download APP Cache Cleaner. It fixed my issue without reboot or MR5. Hope that helps and "thanks" please
Just picked up the Photon yesterday and I think I had my first silent call this morning. Phone rang, answered and neither party could hear the other. Has sprint acknowledged this as a known issue?

After going through 3 from 2 different sources, I gave up and went back to another phone till something reliable as a phone comes out.
I have the latest software build and I still have the same problem
I waited and waited. Thought about rooting and using a ROM before the official ICS update came from AT&T but just decided to wait. Finally got the update via Kies, excited like a school girl. Initially it was a cool new bit of scenery, and as the OS settled in with me, i found myself disappointed and wanting my gingy back. I've been upgrade for a couple months now i think, and had plenty of time to try to get used to it.
I am finding lots of things that just plain suck.
1 - Text message notification audible alert discontinues after awhile (unknown amount of time), only resolution I've found is to reboot the phone. This sucks because just out of nowhere my text notification tone stops. Everything else like ringtone etc is fine. This is a dealbreaker for me almost. This worked fine on Ginerbread.
2 - new Swype software gives me problems when the word suggestion feature stops working completely. Swype is hard to do without word suggestions at times. Only solution i've found is again, reboot the phone. This sucks. I know, don't use swype, but i WANT to use it. It worked perfectly on Gingerbread.
3 - the widget for Google Voice is super tiny now, and i don't see a way of making it bigger. It's approximately the size of 4 icons, whereas before on Gingerbread it was huge and you could easily read/see your voicemails. Maybe i'm missing something on how to change the widget size, but i see no way of doing it.
4 - my News and Weather widget, which i used for weather and news all the time, since my original Galaxy S, does not display any weather information anymore. Just says "No Weather Information". this worked fine on Gingerbread. I guess different phone OS makes widgets work differently. I just want mine to work as expected. News still comes through fine though.
5 - Unlocking the screen seems more difficult now, usually takes me a couple tries, whereas it seemed really smooth and awesome before the update
6 - Power Saving widget is huge now, takes up half of one screen, whereas before it was just 1 row and you could scroll across. Why make it bigger and take up more room with no additional functionality?
After listing all this out, i'm trying to think of the things i LIKE about ICS update, and i can only think of one, which is the data monitoring/limiting which is kind of a cool feature. I doesn't seem any faster really than before. So overall, i honestly was happier with Gingerbread. 6 things that i find that suck versus one thing i like.
Maybe this is me being picky, but as excited as I was to get ICS, i'm equally disappointed in the upgrade. My wife uses a Galaxy Note and it is available for her phone now, and I told her don't bother with the upgrade.
Anyone have any advice??? experience the same problems? I know i could root, install a custom rom etc, but i really like the touchwiz stuff from samsung and i was really happy with just the stock gingerbread OS, even with all the bloatware, i just disregard all that junk.
I'm having the same problem with text notification I just notice that I get a text it would sound but just about an hour ago it just stopped I would get a text and nothing ringtones works and everyrhing but I think is a ics bug maybe it would get fixed in the new update 4.0.4

at&t sucks. bottom line.
Advice, if you want to stick with touchjizz, run a custom one, there are plenty that *should* have those issues taken care of.
But the widget size issue, thats just looks, with a different launcher can change size of widgets.
Lol I called this one. A bunch of people upgrade to stock ICS. Then they complain and want to switch back, mess it up, and start new threads. Hopefully they all learned their lesson about carrier upgrades . I mean even I tried it, just to see what it looked like and how it functioned. Then again I knew how to get back to a custom Rom Before I did it. It's actually not too bad, but there were just too many bugs and battery life was too bad for my taste.

It isn't 100% on all phones it seems to be random but instead of posting something VERY VERY risky for people not so inclined to troll the forums and find out about the risks of certain actions why not shut up or post what you think will work then link them to a topic showing what bad could happen. You just seem like you want people to brick and make more topics about how they tried to reset and bricked. You also need to think of Google searches that link to this topic and they read it and see you said reset and they do it. It isn't just xda its anyone with the internet don't lead people to a possible brick

The only way to go "back" to Gingerbread is to flash UCKH7 straight stock or one of the Gingerbread stock plus root packages in Entropy512's thread. So yes, use that, or one of my guides.
Just finished watching the livestream of the Facebook Home announcement. It was mentioned that FB Home would be coming to several devices on April 12th, including HTC One, One X, One X+, GS3, GS4, and Note 2. It seems to be basically a launcher replacement/UI. They also said it would be coming to Tablets in several months. So I was curious what DNA users think. Do you care? Should we feel left out? Do you want FB Home? Do you think we will get it? When?
People who don't like FB at all, don't bother posting. You don't need it and it won't be pushed on anybody. Hopefully this thread will be for FB/DNA users who are interested in discussing FB Home.
I think it looks interesting but I actually like Sense a lot so I'm concerned about how well it will integrate and whether we will lose out on a lot of features we have come to rely upon, like widgets, etc.
I am getting it one the 12th. It looks pretty slick.

Even for people who are not on FB, it is generally a good thing for the Android ecosystem because, at least for now, it could be driving users towards Android who would otherwise be buying iPhones.
I use FB several times/day, but I don't think I would want this simply because it will take a lot of why I like the android platform away from me, namely, freedom. The UI of FB home doesn't look half bad, but unless you want to be forced to have your phone revolve around FB then you might instead like any one of the hundreds of other launchers currently available from the play store.
Not to mention that it took FB several months to work out some of the more basic bugs from its first android app.
This honestly smells of desperation to overcome FB's member boredom. Google could easily also make a launcher for Google+, or MySpace or Twitter could, and I'd feel the same way. It's pretty bold of FB...
Oh, and His Zuckness also wants to run ADS on the launcher as well.

If this improves the Facebook experience on Android I'm all for it.. The Facebook app has improved greatly, but compared to other apps, it's not good at all.. I'm always dealing with "loading" ... and "No internet connection" .. constant issues with the application.. We shall see what this does!!

All Im really interested in is the messaging functionality, that was interesting, and maybe the lockscreen, If I could cherry pick aspects of fb home that would be nice, as a whole however I'm not that interested.

Modaco's should work if you are rooted and remove the apk from /system/app.
I'm stock OTA so it tells me the signature exists as facebook came with my phone
The hacked version does work on the DNA its a pretty neat launcher if you are really that into wanting a face book phone. Sucks up data fast for those on limited data plans so make sure to check the settings. Not the best launcher, for ease of use, but it is sure different. The future of launchers could be a good start.

Well, I have successfully booted up 4.2 on my Droid X2. I have been running it since Monday, and it's pretty stable. the only things that aren't working are:
Video Camera
Bluetooth
A few bugs from CM10.
I want to know if you guys want me to finish it up, and try to ready it up for a release this weekend, or if you want me to try to fix bluetooth, and the video camera.
EDIT: I'm going to attempt to fix bluetooth. If it causes too many problems, i'll release it without bluetooth and work on it in my free time. There is a couple stability issues I have patched up, and it seems to be working just fine so far.
EDIT2: I'm taking finals tomorrow then i'll have a good month of tinkering with this ROM. My goal is to get it pretty stable by then end of August (like 8/10 stable).

I have been working on this since about the time CM10 A2.99999 was released. The first time it didn't even boot, the next time, touch screen didn't work, and i've just been wiping out issues since then. It's pretty stable, has about the same battery life as CM10 A3 but I know of some apps that help it greatly. Right now I can get about a 12 hour battery life. This includes a phone call or 2, texting, some web browsing, and a little bit of gaming during my web design class.
I have it to a point where it can be a daily driver for some. I want it to be a little bit more stable. I'm free today so i'll spend most of my evening working on it. Tomorrow i'll have a little free time.
