[Q] Omega v44.3JB 4.2.1, - problem with crashing applications - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello i got Omega v44.3JB 4.2.1 on my I9300 and my applications (games/maps/navigation/gallery ...) are sometimes crashing because low memory (Even when i checked my memory status i can see 650MB+- / 828MB and still it crash because memory.) or just without any error message. I'm using omega rom since october i was happy with this, but this problem is really bad. I did whole sd format/factory reset/cache deleted and etc. and installed it by twrp and from external sd card, everything is fine, "just" that crashing apps.
Can somebody help me, cause i tried to search same issue, but nobody got that?
(sry for my bad english)

[Q] P7500 CM10.1 constant reboot/restart

Hi, so basically my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 was rooted and installed with the CM10.1 Nightly rom. Great rom, probably a little battery drainage
However, the constant problem that i notice was, the tablet can suddenly reboot, and without warning, it reboot directly to the Cynamogen logo where it spins and then back to my lockscreen. This also happens to my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 P1000 CM10.1 device too. Anyone encounter the same situation?
I wonder why does it reboot or respring? I not sure. Is it due to low memory in RAM? or what? Thank you =)

Have you noticed if it was related to the situation we decribe in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1916491
??
I'm trying to narrow down the problem to it's essence.
cheers,

Sorry man, my play store has no problem or whatsoever, it's just that my device randomly reboots/resprings (i think is respring since CM logo appeared rather than the Samsung Galaxy Tab words when it reboot). It can reboot while in sleep or when im in app. That's why im confused

I'm wondering whether this might also solve my problem here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2128590

[Q] Can i unroot my phone but still have a custom rom installed?

Had my phone for a few months now and at the moment its rooted and ive installed a few roms on it. At the moment ive using Omega Rom which i do like apart from a few issues. Camera always asks me to install SD card.... even though its in. Anyway, not bothered with that for now.
Got 2 options at the moment.
1 - Unroot and install stock Samsung Firmware. I want to do this as there are 2 apps that dont work with a rooted phone which id like to use. Samsung Video App and NowTV. Id like the samsung app to work as when i 1st purchased my phone i had free credit to spend on it and i purchased a few films on there which ive never got round to watching. As for NowTV and possibly SkyGo, i need my phone rooted for these to work,
2 - Stick with a rooted phone and custom firmware. Im keeping an eye out for the new JellyBam v6 which hopefully is released this weekend.
Ideally id like to have the Jellybam rom installed with my phone unrooted. Would this be possible??
SuperUser app -> remove root
jellybam v6.7.0 Samsung GT-I9300
hi guys, it's my first post so i hope i'm in the right place.. just flashed jellybam v6.7.0 onto my phone and it's amazing, so smooth and quick compared to stock android jellybean.. however, i've got a constant message in my notification bar that says "blank SD card" and it won't let me mount SD, it keeps forcing me to format but i don't want to lose all my data. i've tried the card in my computer and it's definitely not corrupted, and all the data is still there. has anyone got any ideas what the problem is or how i can fix it?
many thanks in advance,
cheers

you're not in the right place, this is someone else's post. you should have posted in the Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting under a new thread. if your sd card works in you PC, transfer all your stuff over and format it, then try it!

System freezes... a lot!

Hi,
Before creating this topic I tried to run some research but I haven't found anything useful that would explain my phones recent behavioural problems. The problem with my i9300 is that the phone freezes at random while Android is operating. This happens in settings, while apps get updated, when getting phone calls, when opening an app, when registering a google account (new setup), when opening SMS app... The sreen stops responding, none of the hardware keys do anything and all I can do is take out the battery. It's just crazy and does not seem to have any rules to this madness. The problem started after flashing a new version of Sentinelrom (and CMW supporting android 4.4.2 installations). This is what I already tried to troubleshoot/resolve:
- flashing another recovery (now on latest PhilzTouch)
- flashing other roms (UltimaAOSP Valhalla, latest CM11 nightly, CM10.2 stable, Slimkat ROM) with full wipes, dalvik cache cleanup etc.
- flashing boefla kernel (during Slimkat tests)
- formating \modem
- formatting externalSD (was and is on exFAT)
- taking out externalSD for a longer period
- restoring apps from google instead of titanium backup
- not restoring any apps and settings from google
- installing apps selectivly
Nothing helped although the phone was running most stable on UltimaAOSP Valhalla (3 freezes during one day). The freeze never happened during playing a movie or listening to music. The freeze never happened while in recovery mode.
Does anyone have any other suggestion on what I can do? Any input appreciated!
Maybe your device is affected of the Sudden Death Syndrome.
Try eMMC brickbug Check from Google Play.

Thanks for input. I run the check. The chip may be affected by sudden death, but all of the roms I've tested (now testing Android Revolution based on 4.3 stock - 3 freezes just today) have the fix implemented. Also I have had this phone for almost 2 years now. The internal memory check within this app also found no errors. So I guess it's not related to SDS.
Freezing is usually due to nand memory having bad blocks, read the freezing thread in general forum.

[Q] Phone freezing

Hello!
I have been encountering this problem for about 1 month now, but have not decided to fix it before since I mostly rely on my tablet, but it got pretty annoying now, since I often cannot be contacted because of it.
So the problem is that my phone freezes at random times. Sometimes just a minute after I reboot, sometimes it works for a while and then freezes.
I thought it might be a software problem, so I went ahead and installed a new rom (I went with Temasek's CM build), but the problems persisted. However, I noticed, since I used the phone for a while without GAPPS, due to having problems installing it, it worked fine at that time. Now that I have installed GAPPS however, the phone is freezing again.
I also tried removing my external SD card and it does not help.
I do not have much experience with mobile hardware, but could this be a problem with faulty RAM or internal storage? If so, what can be done?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Try a full Mega wipe look here >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/tool-mega-wipesuper-wipefactory-t1832326 << Warning this is not a normal wipe make sure you read the thread and have a backup rom on your external sd card ready to flash after wiping

I flashed a Custom ROM and now my SD card appears mounted as Phone Storage.

Hello, I'm new to XDA and would appreciate some help for an issue I'm having with my phone, I have a Blu Studio 5.0S in which I flashed a custom ROM based on MIUI v5 with Jelly Bean, my phone had a stock Jelly Bean ROM, I don't know if I'm doing the flashing steps right because I am wiping Data, Cache and Dalvik Cache only, even tho, I wiped System too once and the issue persists.
My phone has 4GB storage in 2 partitions, one for the system and the second one is used as SD when there's no SD in, but if I do put an SD in, that second partiton stops working as SD (If I had Apps installed in it, they won't work), and is mounted as "USB Storage/Internal SD", now, that's the normal way it is supposed to work, but when I flashed the custom ROM, MIUI keeps detecting my SD as Phone Storage (The second partition that is useless for installing apps in it) and detects the second partition as Phone Storage, What I want is to keep the MIUI based ROM but having my storage in the right order, otherwise I have a 32GB SD useless and a phone running out of space for my apps. I did not find any help in the threads and I'd really appreciate if someone can help me to solve this problem, sorry if my english is not that clear and thanks in advance.
You won't find much MIUI help here. Not many people really use it and the only ones that work on it are porters.

To be honest Where ever you got the rom from. As the MIUI developers sont deal with bug reports that come from non Xiaomi devices, it is closed source so cant really do a whole lot other wise.

That's what I did, posting the question in the thread from where I got the ROM, just afraid none's gonna reply since the one guy who was dealing with this stuff doesn't own such devide now and stopped testing stuff, I just thought if the problem has something to do with the kind of partitions in one and other system someone would guide me to look for a way to solve my problem by myself.
Thanks a lot Mr. Zelendel, a hug from Colombia!
So... I just found out that this ROM had an App (In mandarin chinese) to switch the Internal Storage and External Storage (SDCard0- SDCard1), and that's one of the first Apps I was uninstalling every time I flashed, I have no idea if this is an App made by Xiaomi or the porter of this

did something about it, but now I can say this ROM is perfect and works very smoothly on my device.
