OK after alot of struggling, I have managed to update X10 from 1.6 to 2.3.3 and to root it.
I need to unlock the phone for use on any network.
What is the easiest/best option to do this?
Someone pointed me to.....

it's been a while since I had a smartphone, and I've just got one of these fellas locked to Orange.
I can't work out how to application unlock it so I can install cab files. Annoying as I wanted to test out my CoPilot later.

Does anyone know any place (Toronto), or sites that is able to unlock my x10 mini (E10A)? i've tried mutiple sites like unlock4u, unlock zone, and cell unlocker, and they all gave me back a refund saying they aren't able to find a unlock code for my phone.
does anyone know anywhere that might be able to help me unlock this?

Upgrade to android 2.1 , root it using Super One Click or another tools. Then unlock it's bootloader like on instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225 .

Going to be unlocking my SK17i XMP using Wotanserver. Its 14.99 EUR but I'm in the UK so it's around 12.50GBP for me
Got a few questions though for people who have used it before to SIM UNLOCK their phone. Not bootloader unlock or flash firmware. SIM UNLOCK.
1)I know it unlocks the bootloader before SIM unlocking the phone but wanted to know if I already had the bootloader unlocked, would this in anyway affect the program?
2) Can I have some more information on the Test Point for the SK17i please? Don't fully understand what to do when its going to ask me to test point? Anyone help with this? A link to a website or video would be useful

1.- Don't worry it will not harm your device if you have an unlocked bootloader and then you unlock your sim.
2.- Here http://simlockmobile.com/tutorials/xperia-testpoint-guide/ this one show you the test point and this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0y-Ua8czYXM it is a video on how are you going to do it only it is with fast gsm but it is the same process.
I used a pair of small pincers kind of the ones on the video but the paper clip will also work.

So i have an Alcatel OT 990 with GB 2.3.4.
I purchased online codes for unlocking it wich proved to be completely useles, it just didnt work.
I guess i was conned.
Now when i open the phone it asks for this : SIM network unlock PIN
even when i put back the original SIM!
Do you know what are the solutions for this problem?
I dont know if this phone is able to be unlocked.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as i now have a completely useless phone!
