I have a 9.7 tablet part rooted and running on ics 4.0.4 the company are still selling them in argos but will not bring out any updates as i have asked i need to no is there another site i can visit an update it or can anyone tell me how to get full root access so i can put a jelly bean rom on it and what cooper file would be best it has supersu but still doesnt open up all options for me to use advanced settings to put a zipped rom in thanx

The link for the touch update (unless I missed a link) is for the Nexus 7... it's not really clear until you flash the file. Doesn't do anything terrible, just corrupts the efs file... I was lucky and had a backup

I always flash my roms with Odin Mobile. Select Everroot and presto! Rooted to tha bone!!

Hi mate.. try this download the superuser zip file here download.chainfire.eu/267/SuperSU/CWM-SuperSU-v0.97.zip after you download it,rename it to update.zip put it in your sdcard/external sd.. boot to recovery(volume up,home button,power button) choose apply update from storage. Reboot,now your rooted.

If you flashed trough Odin he doesn't have root... you need use root scripts... look in philz kernel thread...

Hey,
After a few days of thinking if I should root my samsung galaxy ace s5830i I finally did. I've got used to the new applications and things I can access but I wanted to upgrade to the unofficial ice cream sandwich or jelly bean for the device. I followed the tutorials with the clockworkmod rom manager but I only got as far as downloading the ROM manager, because when I opened the application and clicked 'Recovery Setup' then 'Clockworkmod Recovery' it loads then shows 'Device not Listed Above, Click here if your device is not shown in the list above' and above that is no devices at all. I was hoping that someone from XDA could help me out on this one,

only themed 2.3.6 roms
dont use rom manager..
go to general sectiom you will find how to root and cwm and flashing.....
