[Q] LiquidRom 4.2.2 - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

I've used xda for quite some time and obviously never have posted....or at least very little!
But since apparently I don't have posting abilities in the Development portion of the forums, please tell Jamie he's definitely done a bangup job with the latest LiquidRom for the EVO so far.....
if I have issues with the ROM moving forward tho, (I have common sense enough to search first....like I said, I've used XDA for sometime, just never posted.....) how do i reply to that thread and ask if i can't find an answer?
Thanks Everyone!

You have to have 10 posts before you can post in development.
Welcome

Thank you. I'm tired of all these stupid ass questions in development.

Yup, its needed badly. Seems like this phone is getting popular day by day. We need dedicated Q&A section. I am surprised we dont have it for this phone yet. Its been good 1+ month since launch.

Neglected
Yes, I am completely with this, some kind of mod attention in the Photon forums would be much appreciated!

What if this thread were reported? Would that get their attention, or would it be closed? Just a thought as I'm sure the mods don't read every thread.

Do we have a mod for the Photon section? If not, what does it take to get one?
+1
I tried to address these issues with main XDA mods last week with no luck. It seems as though they don't care about us. Really tired of the way XDA runs things anymore which is why a lot of devs started their own forums.
Last I looked there was not a dedicated moderator for the Photon but it is obviously being watched.
Bump. More questions in development ...

Trust me people will still post questions in the dev section. I just came from the EVO 3D and every other day someone has to post a noob question in development.

And as soon as you train one person not to post there, another comes along and starts all over again.

Guess I took the Nexus One section for granted. That crap didn't happen there.

I'm an Epic owner, considering a Photon. I can tell you it's a major problem over there too. Many ROM threads have become almost totally useless because of the same 4 or 5 questions being repeated over and over hundreds of times by people who don't do any research or read anything prior to posting. An endless chain of "do what now??"

Yes, listen to nate420. Make sure you read the rules, and if your going to post in the development section, they ask you to not start new threads unless you have something that you have developed, and its ready for testing. Also, if you have questions, that pertain to the rom, mod, app your using, please do ask if you need help, but ask in the thread.

Thank you and no im not spamming to get my posts In lol. One of the things I have done thus far is turn my 3vo into a portable snes using my sixaxis controler so I started a thread for like minded gamers who may be interested in doing the same thing. Id rather be a help than a headache lol

Please use search....

I know there are alot of people new to xda on here and alot of new android users, however if you look in our general boards there are tons of topics that are being repeated. Please use search because odds are you question or concern might have come up or discussed already.
Im not trying to be rude or make people mad, but when you signed up its part of the rules.

This pointless thread clutters up the forum just as bad as someone who doesn't use the search function and posts something, there hasn't even been a problem of redundant threads in this forum (yet).
The phone has been out less than a week and we have like 4 or 5 tmobile threads, 4 visual voicemail, atleast 3 city id, i see a pattern coming on.

It's not so bad, and I guarantee this thread will change nothing. They never do.
Just trying to throw it out there, If 30 people search because they saw this instead of making a new thread thats 30 less everyone has to scroll though

I agree. This should probably be stickied, as it is quite difficult to follow a thread with so many new redundant ones being created. I may have at some point, but if the number of new redundant posts is reduced, it will be better for everybody.
That being said, a whole lot of the users here are completely new to android and XDA as a result, therefore they don't fully know the rules and will need to learn. Having this thread stickied would probably help that.
I can appreciate your intentions, but I guarantee you someone who was planning on opening a redundant thread is not going to open this thread first and have some mind-blowing epiphany about the metastasizing cancer of reckless thread starting without using the search feature and thus starting a thread about something that's been previously posted about.
Besides, the mods here would get bored.
Its like world peace, it will never be perfect but just trying to do what i can to stop the chaos

Get tommytomatoe a evo 3D?

How come the "get tommytomatoe a evo 3D" thread is missing?
The link doesn't work....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459296
I just wanted to know if there was more development from tommytomatoe.
You have a valid question here....no clue why the other thread was deleted after you posted the question there...
Have you tried to PM tommy or maybe Duce, as he might know possibly what tommy is up to?
Just a thought.
Btw saw he's posted a guide the other day...

tommy has been working on things yes. If you want to see an active look of participation in our 3D community look for the theme guide sticky in the theme section.
This is a better question for pm rather than open forum. Because topics of this nature tend to lend themselves to trolls. But yes there is stuff happening. Tommy has helped several people already. Hopefully that answers your question, if not pm me.
Thanks.

The rules of xda

I don't really like the rules even tho im sure there is a reason. But for a romer like me whose been roming since droid A855 its rough. I never post because I usaully just read through the forum if I have a problem. But I finally had a question that nobody asked and I couldn't post because of the rules. I just wish maybe a questionnaire or something could be used to evaluate who is new to roming or if u just are new to XDA. This isn't a rant just post of clarification.

I have seen this brought up in the forums of the past 5 phones I have owned. That is over a 2.5 year period. I've never seen XDA even attempt to care to try this.
It was also discussed that you would have to past a questionnaire or test before you could post in the developer sections period. To many people post in the dev section when they shouldn't.

I kno man it makes little to no sense. I hope at some point this changes
