How do I delete all contacts in my address book in a single operation?
It seems that in CM10.1 this is not possible.

I think that all the contacts are in your Google Account
https://www.google.com/contacts
Here you can see all your contacts and you can edit them, or you can manually remove them from mobile phone

Yes, I know that.
My problem is that I do not share the contacts on the google account but only on the phone.
But if I want to delete them all at once from the phone I have no chance to do so.
Go to Settings>Apps>All>Contact Storage>Clear Data

How can I accomplish this? The vanilla/cyanogen contacts does not have a facebook field. I am able to sync facebook with my phone but not sync the contacts with them? Any help would be appreciated on this.

go into the market and download syncmypix
It did it automatically with CyanogenTazz for me hm

Haha I have to agree with you.
If it doesn't auto sync, click edit your contact, then menu-> join. Find your contact in the list that matches and save. Sometimes if the name you have doesn't match a facebook name, edit the name, join, then re-edit the name.

its simple...just figured it out...
1.hold down on the name
2.click edit contact
3.click menu
4.join
5.then the person you want
SMS not displaying contact names instead showing numbers with country code(+0001234567)
If contact number saves with country code, then the caller name isnt displayed.
pls giv a fix for this...

maybe try importing your contacts from sim, or if not wait for your google account to sync if you've just flashed a new rom.
ok this happens cos of Facebook, try uninstalling fb and reinstalling it than let it sync contacts, if its the same do a google search, hope this helps.

My gfs evo 4g is currently crashing every app on bootup.. everything force closes.
Her contacts are not backed up. We cannot force a sync or get to the people option.
Is there anything we can do to pull her contacts? I am geeky so I can do almost anything..

They Should be Backed up to Gmail, Try logging into Gmail from a Desktop and you Most Likely will be able to Retrieve them...

I think there's no way to delete multiple contacts on the default app.
I used an app called Contact Remover you can found it the Market.
Another way is use PC -> www(dot)google(dot)com/contacts

id recommend this way as well... Your contacts will be synced with your google account that way. By doing this you're able to access any of ur numbers through any phone or computer (etc.).

Switch it on and add your Google account - all your contacts, gmail etc are backup by default to "the web"
add your gmail account and sync it.

I know that you're new on Android phones and all, but try to use a little search...
If someone tells you to "Add your google account and sync", just google it. "How to add my google account and sync android"
If someone tells you to "Wipe your phone", just google it. "How to wipe phone android"
