Indian Jelly Bean Firmware Problem - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I tried update firmware via KIES yesterday (4/4/2013) and I got an error and the troubleshooting options were
1. Remove battery
2. put it back
3. turn phone on
4. connect to pc
5. try again
I tried updating twice and same thing happened. So I now want to upgrade via Odin. Can anyone link me to official Indian firmware so I can download it and use it for flash on odin.

Download all stock firmwares from sammobile.com.
Be warned that flashing via Odin is not for beginners. If you do not know what you're doing, you could mess up your phone real bad.

Go to sammobile and search for the JB ROM ur looking for, download it
While the download is in progress, please make sure you read properly how to flash via ODIN (if not you can YouTube for a video guide )

I tried searching it in sammobile before posting. Could not find the firmware. Also yes I have rooted several devices and I am pretty sure about odin flash. So a link for the particular firmware would help me.

Samsung GS Plus (9105) problem when flashing with Odin

Hi,
I did not find a similar topic about so aim posting e new one.
I am trying to put a new ROM on my SGS 2 Plus 9105 with Odin, but something's not working. The attached picture shows the error.
I have tried on several computers, taht I have flashed previously roms on SGS2, NOTE, SGS3 and others.
KIES is stopped. I tried all the USB ports on multiple computers with all versions of ODIN.
If you have any other suggestions .....
I tried with most of the ROM-s sammobile and several in other sites, but the problem is always the same error.
If you have any other suggestions .....
I dunno about this device, have you seen anyone reporting succesful flashes?
There are a lot of ROM's in sammobile so i thing there shouldn't be any problem, but there is little information in the neto for this phone.
That's why I asked you, as it's new maybe there's something else to it.

Thank you very much, but I've already solved my problem flashing an unbranded original firmware.
Now I've got only a problem : the updates via Kies are no more available. Why? The firmware is a stock firmware!

I've had the pleasure of owning a Samsung smartphone since October 2010. With that, please trust me when I say this: Kies is rubbish! The amount of stuff this program installs into your PC to do what's easily done by connecting via Mass Storage mode? Nuts! The amount of time it spends trawling the net and using up vital battery power while it runs in background on your phone? Insane! The best way to have a i9100 (or any other Android device) running is with a custom ROM - that way you can at least remove any app or 'bloatware' you don't want before you bring the phone to life.
My advice? In short: totally clean out and factory reset your phone, flash the stock i9100 SamMobiles JB release using Odin, root your phone, choose a custom ROM that you like the look of, flash it in and then discover the brilliance of the i9100 that lies beneath the stock standard offering...

I agree with you, but there is a reason why I have to keep my phone with original software.
Is there a way to make it compatible again with Kies updates?

Yes, install a Samsung-based custom ROM.
As for a reason why you have to keep your phone with Original software, is it a phone supplied by your employer? If so, then it's Yours to do as you please with, because use of the device is part of your salary package. Other than that, all which is altered by installing a custom ROM can be restored, simply by doing a nandroid backup of the original firmware before installing the new ROM...

[Q] [SOLVED] Galaxy stuck on logo screen

- SOLVED - (Thanks to immortalneo )
Hello, noob here D:
Here's the story.. I recently got a Galaxy S2 i9100. It's updated to the 4.1.2 thingy.
Tried to root it, used odin and CF-ROOT v5.5 in the process. Odin said it was OK but I got stuck on the yellow triangle.
Found a guide, guide said to install Stock Rom.. so I did. (Stock rom is I9100XWLPU_I9100XXLQ6_I9100XEZLP3_HOME.tar )
Now there's no yellow triangle but it's stuck on the flashy S screen.
I never had a smartphone, and I don't understand most of the words people use here (mainly that 'flash it' thing xD )
I tried to look for a post or anything to solve this but kinda failed..
Help?
What you have is called a 'bootloop' mate.. it can be sorted out.
Which android version do u have now? Its 4.0.4 right? 4.0.4 is subject to risk of eMMC Brickbug.
So, I suggest you download another stock firmware (other than 4.0.4) and flash it via Odin.

U mentioned 4.1.2. You also mentioned flashing stock firmware XWLPU, which is 4.0.4.
Yes, simply download a 4.1.2 firmware for ur region from sammobile.com and flash via Odin.
If it still bootloops, boot to recovery and do a factory reset.

I think SamMobile (YOU MUST REGISTER) has that option, just choose your device and your country and it will give you a download option, I don't know if they give you the PIT+BOOTLOADER+PDA+PHONE+CSC files, but if you don't see them, try to unpack it maybe it is inside :highfive:
Search for 'jb leak' mate. It comes as a 3 part firmware. I think its XXLSJ.

but each time i try to flash it, it fails even i try 4.1.2 and 4.0.4 roms
any help with it??
thanks alot
if u can tell me what it means this when i go to download mode it says : custom Binary download yes( 4 counts)
It fails when you flash via Odin? Have u checked the odin troubleshooting guide yet?

Don't flash 4.0.4 pls. Brick bug is not a good thing.
thanks all
i have flash it by odin 1.85 and the rom is 2.3.5.. all ok and done
but how to upgrade it to 4.0.4?
You don't. Forget 4.0.4
If you really want ICS go for 4.0.3
Flash with Odin the same as GB you just flashed. Or root your gb rom and use mobile Odin pro to flash it.

i downloaded kernal and i have got Official Firmwares 4.0.4, when im trying to flash the kernal it fails and when
i try to flash the bootloader it fails even i really follow all the instructions step by step.
my only way to run my s2 again is to flash it via bootloader by using JB ClockworkMod-Recovery 6.0.2.9
then to flash the frimwares again with 2.3.5 via pda !!
totaly lost.
