I need some help from the pros. I would like update my stock P7500 (currently running 3.2) to either a working ICS (and yes by working I mean fixed battery drain) or to a stable fully functional custom rom. I saw a post about a fix to the battery drain but if I saw correctly it was to be installed from a recovery mode, and I have no idea what that is. I have flashed my samsung devices with Odin and I need files that are ment to be installed with Odin.
Is there a working fixed ICS version to be downloaded and I am open to all suggestions installing a custom. As long as it has all the camera and other functions.
And naturally I need a version that has the nordic Finnish language. Thank you very much for the help.
I had ICS for a week but the battery drain bug made me go grazy.
I think your thread would be better in Q/A Forum. This has nothing to do with development.
If you dont know how to flash a recovery, or root your device, or flash a custom ROM, read!! Here are so many threads that gives you the help that you need. Read first before you ask. The most custom ROMs where flashed by recovery. Only the recovery himselve as tar.md5 (pershoot ones) and stock FWs where flashed via Odin.
Sorry but that post was sooo confusing. And yes, there are thousands of posts about custom roms, and that my friend is the problem. I need someone to tell me, which solution is the easiest for me.
I guess it would be easiest to install fixed ICS with finnish language, ifnthere is one I would be supper happy for the link. Sammobile is full of versions and I really don't have a clue which is the correct one. Especially with fixed battery drain.
Icould find the official update from samsmobile, Latest firmware info
GT-P7500 Galaxy Tab 10.1 PDA: P7500XWLP6 CSC: P7500OXXLP5 Added: 2012-10-20
But is there one that has the battery drain fix integrated?
The only FW which has no DS Probs is the chinese FW. But its only in chinese and english. So you could try to flash the FW from this thread. Its the FW from Czech Republic, but i mean its multilingual. Im not sure. You can flash it easy with Odin.

Hello guys,
I'm a new "rooter" and my English isn't really good. I think it's because I'm from Germany, not from the US or the UK^^. Atleast it isn't as good as I could find the answer to my question (I bet this sentence is wrong xD).
My problem is, that I want to use the Pure ICS Custom ROM from Spike. Until now, I only get Version 4.0 running on my Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 for which you need XXLP1/XXLP2. I want to run PURE ICS v7.2 oder v7.3. For v7.2 I need to get the Stock ROM of XWLP4 and for v7.3 I need to get the XWLP8 running. I tried many installation guides, but I just can't get those Stock ROMs running.
What are the requieremts to get XWLP4, XWLP7, XWLP8 (stock) running?
Thank you!
No requirements except to have a i9100 not G model and to follow the instructions .
Instructions in this post .
Stock Roms .and csc
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
LP7 and 8 posted in general section ICS firmware .

I dont have the G model.
So that mean, i can flash every firmware I want? And the carrer doesn't matter?
Because i have problems installing XXLPQ, LP4 and XWLP7 etc. I always get a bootloop and theres no way to get into recovery mode. I just get the firmwares XXLP1 and XXLP2 running. the XXLP1/2 ROMs are 4 parts (PIT, PDA, PHONE, CSC) and the other i tried are only 1 part, the DPA part. is this the problem?
There is an LP7 rom which is euro wide - just means you cant use KIES to update and you lose your carriers branded material.
I loaded the LP7 onto my UK phone and it worked perfectly - just remember to wipe your data first - this could be the problem of the bootloops.
There is also the cfkernal link to get root and cwm on your phone.
Good luck in your search for the correct answer.

I have literally switched between 14-15 Roms, the one stood out for me is Resurection rom builds, great work by the Dev and it really is the best ICS experience,so go ahead flash the latest version it's stable and has the best battery flow,im using v1.4 though =D
Thanks for reading - I'm a noob.
I came here to learn about rooting devices over 6 months ago and decided to have a go at rooting my SGS 2 to remove the bloatware and speed it up a bit.
Performance has been great - I left the stock firmware because the OS/ROM was not a concern to me. I simply flashed the kernel with CF Root: CF-Root-SGS2_ZS_OZS_KF4-v4.0-CWM4.tar
Now I am led to understand I would need to flash back to my stock kernel to allow the OTA update for ICS - the only issue is I cannot find any available downloads for I9100TDVKF4 - Telstra's stock kernel.
Now I read somewhere a reply to a similar question was "just flash it with a new rom, I dont know why you want to go to stock" - Well I want to update to the official ICS. I was under the impression that would be available a long time ago and never was. I just want to....
Please can anyone help me to point out where I can find that kernel? perhaps there is a different kernel i could use?!
Is there any ICS firmware I would be able to download and flash to the ROM using Odin whilst keeping my phone rooted?
I found this place really helpful in how to root and now I just hope someone can help me get onto ICS!
Cheers

No only custom rooted firmware .
Try Checkfus for your stock firmware download and flash via Odin .
Dont confuse yourself with kernels without understanding .
ICS on Checkfus or Kies for your phone install otherwise wait until your provider releases .
or flash your original saved firmware that will overwrite root .

Thanks for taking the time to reply mate....
Dont confuse yourself with kernels without understanding - dont worry ive been trying not to but it seems thats the only thing i changed on my phone when i rooted it so i was lead to believe i needed to change that back...
My provider has just released new version of ICS but i cant actually install it once ive downloaded it over the air it only gets to 8% then reboots itself and i believe thats because the phone is rooted...
or flash your original saved firmware that will overwrite root - I dont know if i backed it up correctly on the guide i was using!!! The only thing i backed up was the apps using titanium backup so now i feel im stuck!
Use check fus down loader and get the official ics ROM.
It's under i9100t Australia/telestra
Problem solved.
Hi, and apologies as this is probably the 10,000th post on JB updates. I have searched etc, but just wanted a sanity check to see if I have this right.
As the title says, I have a UK GT-I9300 (BTU) that was rooted in my eagerness when I dumped ios (so used to Jailbreaking, I didnt even think about it). I'll admit I didnt think things through at the time (or read up enough!)
So, I rooted the phone using Odin and CF-Root-SGS3-v6.0, and now JB is upon us. I now know that I can't just use Kies or OTA (unless Ive got it wrong), so I just need to use Odin to flash a download (from one of the various Firmware sites) of the JB update for my particular version ?
If I want it to appear as unmodified, I need to use Triangle Away ?
Have I got this correct, or am I missing a piece of the jigsaw, or do I need a pre-rooted JB ?
Cheers for any help, as I'd rather not stuff this up
If I need to flash the stock rom via odin first, I'll have to find it, as all the links I found are dead now :fingers-crossed:
Hello XDA Forum!
I’m a moderate ROM tester, and since I’ve recently had my device for almost a couple of months I’ve decided to flash with Odin the Entropy daily driver for my Galaxy player. However; it seems that the kernel has affected my player charging when turned off via laptop, and the battery life is draining faster than normal.
Thankfully, a moderator by the name of Shogunmark has provided a system dump that I’ve, and another member tested and noticed that the CWM kernel is still in tack after flashing. Is there a way we could take out the device’s stock kernel to override this custom kernel?
Please let me know, I'm sure I won't be the only person asking for the help to get back stock since other hyperlinks to stock doesn't exist anymore.
Thanks in advance for your time.

Hi,
I use this method to restore Kies stock kernel and ROM on my Galaxy player, maybe this can help you:
Since Kies don't let me reinstall the original ROM over a custom one, like ICS based (i don't know why), I managed to find a flashable Stock ROM for Odin. This version I found was an older version of real Stock, but after flashing that, Kies shows me an upgrade to the updated stock ROM which include even the stock kernel.
For the charging issue, the Entropy512 kernel has implemented a charging hack. You can read full tweaks on their page
Charginghacks - faster charging at low battery, slightly slower near the end, overall faster charging while trying to minimize battery stress

1)u will find the latest available Indian stock firmware at www.sammobile.com.
2) never ask for which is the Best Rom/Kernel/Modem, since its against the rule of XDA for now
3) as a senior member u should have been aware of the same, in case u have missed it see the link below

i just want to know latest Indian version for s2.
Thanks again for remind me my duty
Go to Samfirmware, use the pulldown boxes to get the latest firmware for your carrier/country (or just your country), flash it with Odin. Done. If you have problems with Odin, do a Google search for 'Windoze I9100'.
man i am stuck with hotfile link...
i downloaded it 4 times everytime it stuck in the middle i am still in the starting
no mirror forI9100XWLST_I9100ODDLSE_INU.zip

Unfortunately you're stuck with wherever Samfirmware host their files like everyone else. Try it from another internet connection/internet cafe if you need to.
You can find jb ROMs mirrors posted at the official jb thread.
Sent from...this is not even my S2
India there too. Sofos a top man for doing this thread. Stock but with all the rooted goodness
