[DRIVER] Windows HTC Drivers extracted from the latest HTC Sync - HTC Desire X

Hey,
I just installed Windows today and was surprised that adb did not work out of the box
Well Ubuntu didn't need any drivers, so I searched for the apropriate drivers but none worked for me, so I extracted the ones from the latest HTC Sync.
Those are tested by me to work with Win8 x64.
So here it is:
DOWNLOAD HTC DRIVERS
NEW Version: 4.10.0.001 on 30th nov. Please check Win8.1 compatibility and send me a PM wether it works or not.
NEW Version on 28th oct: 4.5.0.001 not tested my me, but they should at least work from WinXP to Win8, no Win8.1 compatibility yet, I'll check the next days for a new one.
NEW on 28th may: new version, the old did not work with JB for me.
Old ver: 4.0.1.002
New ver: 4.1.0.001

doesnt work for me with win 8.1 on macbook 2012 retina

when i run the drivers or try to it just does nothing ??? i click run and thats it the driver installer window disappears and nothing happens ?

I have htc desire x. My mobile can't turn on. if i connect to charge then only charging light be on.
i can't do hard reset. If i connect into my laptop then also not showing any driver for it.
In device manager it show me unknown device. I can't connect mobile into my laptop so i can't also reinstall Android Os.

[Drivers] HTC Drivers for Windows - Several Versions

I have collected a few different versions of unmodified HTC drivers for Windows, all pulled from the HTC Sync application. I thought I'd post them for general consumption in case folks want to experiment.
HTC Drivers Folder at MediaFire
Versions 3.x are compatible with Window 7 and earlier
Versions 4.0-4.8 are compatible with Windows 8 and earlier
Version 4.10+ are compatible with Windows 8.1 and earlier
For most of these drivers packages, there is no "successfully installed" message. They were pulled from the HTC Sync installer, so the driver package is meant to install silently. You can verify their installation by looking for "HTC Drivers" in Programs under the Control Panel and making sure the version number matches what you just installed.
is there any difference between the drivers?

If a changelog exists for just the drivers, I am not aware of it. There is a brief changleog for HTC Sync here.
Everything worked fine thanks. I tried installing HTC drivers with hasoons aio tool but I could never get it to work

Do you know if any of these work natively with Windows 8? I've had to install the drivers manually via the method in this thread.

I was under the impression that the 4.x series natively supports Win8, but don't have a way to test this myself. I put in a request at the thread you mentioned and will see if anyone responds.

I suspect you're using Win 8.1? I think the drivers still are not working quite right with Windows 8.1 and older versions of HBOOT (like our phone has).
I figured that was the culprit thanks I'll try on Windows 7
Do you want to add HTCDriver_4.2.0.001.exe MD5: b9f772b16918157b469c1de9e7acbde2 ?

Driver issue

Hi heroes!
Ive recently got a strange problem with the HTC Hero gsm drivers, it was working perfectly alright but since last few day whenever I connect it to my laptop running windows 7, it installs some "HTC Remote NDIS based Device" driver and I can neither sync it nor i can open up the sd card on my laptop.
I've the latest SDK and Sync software's installed! I've tried deleting that device from devices and printers and then downloaded driver for windows vista and installed it but again windows somehow picks it up as the driver I mentioned above!
Anyone got a clue whats wrong??
Please help me out!
Thanks.
Thank you all for viewing it 55 times and not bothering to respond once!
Some of us have other issues then "omg lolz my drajvr iz not vorking pliz help" for gods sake google, i dont think you are going to make it work on win7. You can get Hero CDMA drivers that should help

[Q] HTC Sync/Windows7 No longer sees My phone.

The phone and cables are good as I can get HTC Sync to work on my old PC and this one worked just a few weeks ago and I can even get it to work in a VMware session. But for whatever reason the phone just keeps showing up as Unknown and is put under Other devices as “Android phone”. On the other PC and in the VMware it is added as "My HTC" under Android USB Devices in Device Manager.
I’ve tried a bunch of uninstalling and rebooting and so on but something on my new Windows 7 PC is stuck when connecting the phone. It thinks it has no driver for it but it does. If I try and point any of the HTC INF files Windows just says they are not for this device.
Help!
Thanks.

make sure you have the correct drivers for you phone, if you using the latest version download and install an lder version of the drivers then try to connect
That’s the thing though. The drivers were just fine a few weeks ago. The same drivers work on another PC with this phone and they work now on this same PC in a VMware session. There is something stuck in my Windows host install that no longer allows any new devices to be installed. Like one of the fixes I found on line was to remover your USB hubs and let Windows find and install them again but then they could not be installed and were added to the Other devices. I had no mouse or keyboard. I had to run a system restore under the F8 options on boot up. Unfortunately I don’t have a restore point older than the issue. Even if I unplug my working mouse and put it in a different USB port it too is added to Other devices and no longer functions. I just get messages about it being an unknown device and that no drivers can be found.

[Q] The problem of connecting the device with android.

Hello,
When I plug mk888 (android tv box) or Milestone 2 to my computer looking for drivers. Not so alone it is pointing. Installs however, there is code 10 Under windows 8 turned off checking the compatibility of the controller. I still have the same problem. I downloaded the drivers rockusb and the computer does not want to "accept". The same thing I have with drivers for motorola. The strange thing is that on another computer with Windows Vista I have the same problem.
I checked the original cable motorola and samsung.
Connected it without the debug mode (SD mode) and it worked.
But when I turn these modes I can not get it to install the drivers: (
I do not know what's going on.
Milestone has CyanogenMod 9
MK888 is an android 4.2.2
My computer has Windows 8 x64 with all updates
Win 8?

Thank you for the quick reply.
I found a similar movie before. I did it, but Dalen does not work. It shows that supposedly has recorded but did not work, and shows error code 10
The devices manager I have this:
Class for rockusb devices:
Rockusb Devices (with a black exclamation mark).
Similarly for motorola adb.
any news ideas ?

i have all update

ROM connection 260 error

Warranty repair so roll back to official ROM needed - the dreaded 260 error comes along to haunt me ;/
For information:
Windows 8 on home theatre PC and XP threw up 260 errors over 2 days, tried everything! including using a high spec a Sony EC450 micro usb cable.
A fresh install of Windows 7 SP1 and all updates seemed to do the trick, glad I kept my first notebook - 2004 Acer Aspire, came in handy ! (running 7 well on 700MB RAM). Windows Mobile Device Center/ActiveSync (XP) does not sync on any of the Windows versions for me with Mozart so I assume Microsoft blocked things in Zune/Mozart updates since the early 2010/11 hacks ?
Found disabling automatic updates and manually searching for driver updates in Device Manager more productive as auto update misses versions out - Windows 7 Phone seems to have a June/0, Oct 10, some time in 2011 driver (which worked for me) and a later Zune driver.
Now back on a original official ROM
Hope any of this^ helps some1 out there universe
