Me:
Hey guys!
Some of you may know me from i9001 forums.I stopped developing roms there because i don't have the phone anymore.
You:
Bla bla.I don't care.Tell me what your problem is.
Me:
Ok.I was trying to port PA 3.15 and do a liltle testing. It worked but almost nothig was working,so i returned to CM 10.Everything went fine.
That night i plugged the phone in my laptop (with fast charge enabled) and let it charge all night.
Next morning i plugged out the phone from my laptop (i didn't look at the phone, just plugged it out) and went to watch tv for about 30 minutes .
When i came back in my room my phone was a little hot (arround 40 degrees).
I tried to open it,nothing.
Tried to reset it,nothing.
Connect to pc,nothing,
Connect to wall charger,nothing.
Even the little red led won't blink. The phone is dead.
I left the phone connected to the wall charger for about 10 mins.Still nothing.Any ideeas?
EDIT:I read something about fast-charge mod. This somehow disables the auto-shutdown when the phone run out of battery. This puts it into "super-critical" low battery mode.
I don't know if this is real,i will let my phone charge for 2 hours or so.
EDIT2:I saw now that i posted this in general section.Sorry for that..Any admin please move it in the Q&A.
:crying: any news? did you manage to get it up and running?
No.The phone is getting hot if i plug in a power source.I don't know what to do....
UPDATE: The phone is okay.I managed to get it running.
Don't leave us hanging like that. What did you do to fix your phone?

Leave the phone connected to the wall charger for 2 days without touching it.
Then try to start it in bootloader.
Next time charge it while its in a freezer. BAM it won't get hot.

Has to be more to the story because many times mine has been drained to the point it shuts off and it's fine.
My first thought is something to do with if you've used the bootstrap recovery. That hijacks part of the boot process and wont allow the phone to be turned off and charge from a wall outlet but a USB outlet will work fine.
That's my 2 pennies ...

Nah, hell i don't even know if that has anything to do with anything ... i was just making a suggestion to help spark discussion
I remember readying something to where you have to jump start the phone. It had something to do with connecting to neg and pos on the battery posts on the phone. Try looking around for it. I too have drained my battery serveral times till it turns off and no problems.

i have had my mopho die quite a few times...alsmost every few days with no probs. not sure what happened with yours, but it is deff not and should not be an issue.
Yeah, I can't even count how many times I've used my phone till it turns off, and on a few occasions after having it turn off on its own I've turned it on again still without plugging in to try and kill it just a little more, for calibration ideas I had run across and was trying. Still wall charged and powered up without issue though.
Maybe you have a bad battery?

no need, spend 5 mins, plugging charger in, til the red light, lights then fades, pull out at this point, then plug in, repeating the process for 5 mins........then, hold (vol - , & Power) booting into bootloader, then plug your phone in, and you will see its charging
had to do it a few times myself

NEED DESPERATE HELP ! ! ! [/B]
My HOX+ ran of out charge completely yesterday while I was playing a game on the phone. I plugged the phone in for charging via USB, the red light blinked three times and stopped. There is no sign of the phone charging anymore. So I then tried charging it via an AC adapter. The red lights stays there for only about 5 seconds and disappears again.
I have tried already tried to hard reset (power + volume down) the device. No sign of recovery! I also tried removing the SIM card and tried charging. This wasnt of much help either.
Please help with out any charge I'm not able to see a lot of options for my phone????

My recovery is kind of under a big question mark. I was using CWM but due to certain reason i wanted to shift to twrp. So i got rid off the CWM and flashed Twrp. However when i booted into recovery it just showed a black screen. This happened about two weeks ago tho. Could this be the issue?

Could be,
Visit Lloir's thread or TWRP official site and install the TWRP that is relevant to you (INTL / ATT)
you need to restart in fastboot to flash recovery.

I did that previously. I used the recovery suggested for my phone. Something still went wrong with the recovery.
I cant restart in fastboot. The phone is dead, No charge to even flash a ROM or do anything to recover my phone.
I think its time to give it to HTC. Hopefully since the phone doesn't switch on they probably wouldn't be able to figure out its rooted.
Thanks for your help guys but I think its time to call it.

Okay So I left the phone on charge for 27 hours. No lights and no sign of any activity. So then I had this little whack idea
I plugged my phone into the PC first. As I mentioned earlier- When I plugged my device into the PC the light blinked three times and then no light at all.
So this time when i plugged it into the PC I held the power button and waited for the three blinks after this I quickly took the usb cord and plugged it into an AC adapter while still holding the power button and Voilaaa
The phone is completely functional again.
Glad to have put you on the right track

Hi All.
Not exactly the same problem but very similar. I've opened my HOX+ a little (just enought to measure the pogo pins by inside). Then, when my device got discharged (already closed), I plugged the AC power and turned it on. During the boot screen, It suddenly turned off and now, when I plug the power the only thing I got is a red light blinking forever. No boot screen.... My device was unlocked and flashed with Elegancia for some days before it happened.
Does anyone has any ideas? Now I have a pretty fancy paperweight!

the flashing red lights = it's charging but not enough juice to boot, so leave it on an AC charger for about 30minutes

After some hours, all still the same. I think that this could be due to a bad contact. I dont know? Any other thoughts?
