I have a s3 clone mt6577 cpu running 4.1.1 model GTi9300..
i want to flash in a CWM RECOVERY as it has no recovery installed.Please could someone in the know point me to one that will be comparable with my device.

I don't think you can root the clone S3 but try installing the latest factory ROM or message the company

Hi i have rooted it no problem with root with restore by Bin4ry v18 after all its running your basic mt6577 cpu but i need a all round cwm that will run on it as it has no type of recovery installed at all not even a system one(not that i can see).

I got my ALCATEL One Touch 5020A and its cool even powered of a single core cpu only. Like other android device user I'd like to use a custom ROM on it but the problem is SP Flash Tool can't Readback the custpack partition. How could I port a ROM on it if this problem occurs?
Please help me guys.... :crying: What Flash Tool version should I use to carry out custpack partition? Or any Tool you know to solve my problem.
Your help will highly appreciated.

i used SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1304.0.119. you should first use SP Flash tool to flash CWM recovery so that you can first make a nandroid backup of your stock rom. rooting and flashing custom roms can then be fone through CWM.

My phone has a two partition one is custpack and system.
How.can merge them so I can install custpack.

The screens (from aliexpress page) are quite misleading ... some show a full HD (1920x1080) device display, but the actual drivers are qHD (960x540).
Your best bet is to try some of the stock ROMS from needrom.com ... since you've hard bricked your phone, you don't have much to lose.
The BlueBo ROMs might just work, see ...

is there other way to flash the ROM other than via CWM ? the stock recovery can't work / read the zip file, i can't go into download mode since it using mandarin.

you can create a scatter file by MtkDroidTools from your backup files.
There are a handful of ROMs available for MT6572. You can port them to your device by following very simple instructions. [For example: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2123239 ] You cannot usually get 100% ready made ROM for MTK devices, a little porting is kind of always necessary. But thankfully, that process is limited only to replacing a few files!

I just bought a Alcatel U5 4047D with android 7.0.
Before I bought this phone I searched the internet, I thought it was possible to root this phone. But I think that's an other type of the U5. I want to use this phone in my car. So I want it to turn it on/off when the usb is plugged in/out.
Maybe it's possible to root when I downgrade to Android 6.0... Is this possible?

1. Flash recovery (twrp) with spflashtool
2. Flash superSU form recovery
