Hi,
I unlocked the bootloader of my SK17i via the testpoint, now I am trying to install a custom kernel (rage kernel).
It seems that there is no way for the device to go to "fast boot mode" it goes to "flash mode". I really don't know what the is going.
I even tried the "Reboot into fast boot" option, nothing happened..
I installed without any error the drivers.exe file that was into the flash tool (OS: windows XP SP3)
The firmware is 4.0.2.a.0.62, flashtool version: flashtool-0.9.10.1
here is the log of the flash tool

Thank you in advance for any info/help
First of all - Did you install the fastboot driver for your phone?
Also, did you hold down volume up button while connecting your phone to pc?
Also again,is your phone have status Bootloader Unlock Allowed : No?If yes,you can't use fastboot sorry...even without unlocking bootloader, the device with yes status can access fastboot

It seems it was an issue with the USB ports! When I connect the mobile to any USB 1.1 port (its an old Thinkpad, as my main system runs win8x64 and its not easy to install non signed drivers there..) the XP did not pop up the info that found "fastboot device" etc etc. After I used an USB 2.0 PCMCIA card everything went well!
Just to reply to your questions, the Bootloader unlock status is YES, I connected the XMP when I pressed the volume UP (notification LED was Blue) and as I mention I installed all the drivers from the drivers.exe that came with the flashtool. It seems that the device cannot connected to fastboot mode using USB 1.1 ports...
I have the same problem. I am in cm10 now with their extended kernel. But now, when I try to flash any kernel, my phone desn't connect with flashboot mood. It always connect with flash mood. I have installed proper drivers.
So, why this is happening?
Please

I downloaded them from se website.
Now i tried with drivers i found on this page: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Howto:_Install_the_Android_SDK.
I can install them and I see Android ADB Interface in my device manager but when i go to cmd and type adb devices it doesnt show any device.
U have to plug in usb to phone with fastboot mode
Sent from my MT15i using xda premium
My phone is plugged in and the phone LED is blue, so I think it's in fastboot mode.
Also in device manager I can see Android Phone > Android ADB Interface.
But when I go to CMD and do adb devices i get:
List of devices attached
But i see no device.
Just go to Device manager, find Android ADB Interface. Click right mouse button and choose to install new driver. You need to pick it manually, so dont point to folder with driver but "choose driver from list" now click from drive(i got in another language so I dont know exactly button name), find that new driver. After that, You need to choose Android Bootloader not ADB.
Now driver should be installed correctly. Try it.
I started completely over again on the notebook from my mother with another tutorial and I think I got it working now.
Thx for trying to help me

The sony ericsson tutorial/drivers didn't work for me.
I started completely over on another computer with this tutorial/ and that worked for me.
Do not searhc for driver in usb:driver folder. You need to choose that driver manualy.

Problaly something went wrong.
You can try edit your build.prop and disable setup function.
But make backup. For editing you can use file managers or some apps.

i have a problem that i cant enter the CWM recovery to continue installing the repair of wireless ( becuase it didnt work )

And you reinstalled drivers from falshtool?
yea
I tried to reinstall the driver from the flashtool folder, but that didnt work
AFAIK if the flash tool doesn't recognize your phone, there is an option to manually define it.
Btw Flash tool wouldn't do any good to your room you should probably call a plumber or mason or something

For start, chill, you never said that your computer doesn't recognize your phone at all.
So what happens when you connect it to PC, turned off and what when it's turned on? What show up in device manager?
What happens in flashtool when you connect turned on phone and what when turned off(while holding back key, or menu key)? Preferably show log.
Is your phone even starting?
Flashing kernel didnt need enter the recovery...flashing kernel always through fastboot or flashtool..
My question is do you unlocked your bootloader?
And try change your USB cable

Hi,
So yesterday I wanted to reset my phone because it was getting a bit to laggy. I full reset it through the wizard on the phone and it went in instant bootloop.
I had flashed ICS on my Xperia Sola before and unlocked the bootloader.
I tried googling for some solutions and I followed this solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-u/general/how-to-resolve-softbrick-upgrade-to-ics-t2023135
But the problem I find is that it just does not work for me. I always get this error on flashtool:

I also tried restoring it with the Sony program but when I try to connect the device I get an error that this cannot be done with a windows 8 computer.
If anyone knows how to fix this I would be so greatfull..
Thanks and kind regards!

Try setting compatibility mode for the programme you are trying to run on windows 8 that don't run

From the flashtool log, your phone seems to connect and instantly disconnect from flash mode. Try using Win 7 with proper driver (flashmode, fastboot and adb) first if you can. Otherwise check your battery too if it depleted.

Got the same on W7, how do I check if the battery is depleted? Since its a hardboxed battery.
Fastboot
about 1 month ago, i got this error
try flash any kernel which has RECOVERY, then enter to recovery and give it FULL format, now reflash your ftf or push custom rom and flash

Just press the power on button. If the red led blinking means your battery is low thus you cant boot your device up. If no red led blinking then your battery depleted.

My phone is now bricked because I tried to flash the stock ROM(4.4.2) to my phone(6.0.1). At the time, I didn't know that you must format the phone before I guess, "downgrading" it. After I searched on google that I should format it, I went to SP Flash Tool to format it, and the phone got formatted. Now, all I need to do is to flash the stock ROM right? So I did flash the stock ROM to my phone, made sure that VCOM drivers are installed, using the latest version of SP Flash Tool. BUT, when I connected the phone to my laptop(through USB), the laptop detected it, when I press the Download button on the SP Flash Tool it's just at 0%. I tried to use the Firmware upgrade but still, stuck at 0%. I tried it on another PC and still, no luck. What do I do??? PLEASE HELP. I have until afternoon to fix it on my own because I'll give it to the local mobile repair shop.
BTW, the phone is still charging as I'm writing this thread
First of all install the drivers to your pc
Then, enable usb debugging in developer options in settings
Then, connect your phone
Now check whether pc recognize your phone if yes
Then, power off your phone
Now find the scatter file in sp flash tool and then click on download button
After it connect your switched off phone to pc with a usb cable
You will see that sp flash tool will recognize your device and start formatting and then downloading....
All this process will takes only 4-5 minutes at most.

I fixed mine by connecting the test point
You must open your phone and connect ground (any wire to ground) and find the preloader testpoint
Mine was the second test point near the volume control and power button next to the sim or black cable under the orange plastic covering the connector
I dont have the picture but i can give you an example (not s860 but similar)
WARNING: FOR PEOPLE WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!
BE CAREFUL OR YOUR PHONE WILL BE DEAD!

(not actual photo)
Those are test points, find a wire (any electrical wire) screw it to the screw that's holding the motherboard (for ground) and try each one of the test point, be careful not to connect the wire to vcc, vcharge or any 4.xx pins (if you were checking using a multimeter)
Here's a video for disassembling the phone : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ry37RjmnZRo
And here's for reference : http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f672/lenovo-a850-dead-boot-how-easy-jtag-1868940/index2.html
http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f958/a850-lenovo-dead-while-flashing-1888753/
After you find the test point, the phone will be detected by the computer as vcom or something, quickly install the mtk65xx driver (if you haven't install yet) and flash the stock rom using sp flash.
Best of luck.
