@Tried Myself Before Giving to Others. Don't Worry Feel Free and Flash It
Galaxy S4 S Translator app indeed works pretty well, allows users to translate languages in real-time while traveling. *You can see yourself using it if you do travel to countries that the app supports to get around.
S Translator app currently supports 10 languages:
Chinese,
UK English,
US English,
French,
German,
Italian,
Japanese,
Korean,
Portuguese,
Spanish.
So, what's different from Google's own Google Translator app?
The S Translator app is more geared towards using it in real life as it will translate two languages back and forth, with ability to translate spoken language and also ability to speak translated language.
The S Translator interface is certainly a lot better than Google Translator app, allowing you to actually use it in real life, very easy to translate two languages in real-time.
How to install S Translator app on rooted Galaxy S3 or Galaxy Note 2!
Before we begin, you will need a rooted Galaxy S3 or Galaxy Note 2 Android smartphone running TouchWiz-based ROMs (no AOSP!). *Also I do recommend Android 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 4.2.1, or higher.
I also assume you have some type of custom recovery as CWM or TWRP.
Step 1. Download Galaxy S4 Translator zip file:
Download GalaxyS4STranslator_v1.1.zip*
Mirror
Step 2. Reboot into recovery and install the zip file.
Step 3. Try opening S Translator app, it will probably ask you to sign into your Samsung account. *Go ahead and sign in or sign up for an account if you don't have one already.
Step 4. Enjoy S-Translator.
Note:-
- History feature may be broken on the app if you are not on Android 4.2.1 or higher, but translation feature should work 100% fine.
- Please do make a backup ROM just in case something breaks! *We are not responsible for data lost because you did not make a backup ROM before trying this.

Hi,
Could you please tell me what's the difference between this and the S translator app (with necessary .so file) that I posted on another thread?
The download link isn't working so I can't check the differences by myself
PS: If you need some info to work on some other S4 apps I might help
Thanks

Mmmm. It's the same than what I already posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2217638
The only difference is that what I uploaded wasn't flashable (users had to copy & paste the files with root explorer) and this one includes SamsungApps and SamsungService, which aren't necessary really if I'm not wrong.
To be honest I don't see the point on creating a new thread for that because it doesn't offer nothing new really.
Unfortunately, S Translator has stopped.

The difference in yours and mine are that it works.
And the files which I provided are necessary for its support.
Because many people debloat their rom and supported files are removed.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to start a "thank me and not him war" or anything similar, but you are providing exactly the same files that I did. It's even the same file size so obviously you also didn't modify anything.
The only necessary files to have S Translator working with voice recognition is S Translator apk file and libnmsp_vocoder_speex.so. You also included two samsung apps and samsungservice apk, but I'm telling you that those files are not necessary for S Translator..
So... do you still think that the difference between your files and mines is that the ones you provide (exactly the same ones I provided earlier) are working?
As you can see user fabii25 claims that neither your files nor mines are working for him. Meanwhile on my thread user "Census Taker" informs that my files still work for him.
Then... what's the real difference between what you did and what I did? That you also included some non neccesary Samsung apps. Nothing more, nohing less.
If it works or not it's not because we made something different it's probably due to server outages or S Translator blocked on some countries.
And I repeat that I'm not trying to get the credit or nothing. I don't get feed each time people press the thanks button
But as there is already one thread with S Translator app working with voice recogniton, I still think that if you had something to add in order to improve it or whatever it would have been better if you posted it on the thread that already exist... That way users won't be confused thinking that one "mod" is different than the other.
thx for the App

essentialy this seems to be a custom rom, although any rom could be considered just a backup of the developers rom in essence. it would just be a back up of his rom without any of his or her personal data on it. if it was just a backup it would have all his contacts and stuff on so i doubt he would put that out for dload.... im installing this anyway (spanish) version to see if i cant get help on irc to convert it to english with some files to system that do the business and make it english lol. no doubt ill be banging my head with a frying pan soon tho..... i actually was looking forward to this all night as guy above joked, but had a feeling this was going to be the case. my addiction to flashing is to much now for me to not try and make this one work before these guys make an eng version. learning is fun
To all people here
i have installed the spanish rom and have got it working in english, im now just trying to figure out how to delete the Launcher Pro plus he has installed (doesnt have uninstall in manage apps of it) and then i will see if this is a custom rom or just a **** backup of a pirates stock 2.1 im afraid it is looking awfully like the latter so get over to the x10 big thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=835308 here and try to help me and others to get one of these guys to help us port a mini/pro version of this REAL CUSTOM BUILT ROM.
sorry to say but i have a feeling that when i get deeper into this "rom" i will find it is nothing more than stock 2.1 with some alterations including a load of pirated software,..... even launcher (which im trying to remove as i type) is pirated... so well yeh. you guys make your own decisions (P.S th guy said hes trying to "port" an english version but if you navigate to the language settings you can change from espanol to english uk like any other rom............. i hope some people will install this spanish version now to see how much of an anti climax this has been (well for me it has)

because his "rom" is nothing more than a backup of his stock 2.1 with some mods that anyone could do. it is not a rom it is merely a backup. i flashed his spanish version turned the language location settings to english and voila i "PORTED" his rom to english myself cos im obviously a genius rofl. its fake dude all the apps are either pirated or if they have been "deleted" as he says they are just hidden using a launcher pro (probably he pirated this too) setting called hide apps. i have reported the spanish thread he made here but i think this should stay open so we can bash this fool for trying to trick ppl into using his shady rom. eta for the english version of this sh*t is no need i made it into english and confirm thast it is rubbish useless and only custom in a sense he has played with his stock rom and put it out as a backup do not follow this dev (if you can call him that)
This thread is also closed, given the warez inclusion in the other ROM, and the OP flaming vulgarly

ALL THE GOOGLE APPS IN ONE PACK
THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS -- PLEASE MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE TRYING
What is gExperience?
Its a pack that has ALL the Google Apps in one single place for which you can select individually what you want to install! This pack not only has the standard Google Apps but also what is available at the Play Store, including restricted apps not available in every country. It also has inverted versions for available apps. It also tries to install all possible apps to /data partition so you don't end up with no space in /system. Finally, you can choose to uninstall undeed files for your language (like Offline Google Now, Pico TTS). All of this fully customizable thanks to Aroma Installer.
What is included exactly?
You can check a list here. Please note that as of now there are some apps not available for install (even though they show up in the installer).
These unavailable apps are:
All Google TV apps (if someone knows where to get them, please PM me)
Google Catalogs (if someone knows where to get it, please PM me)
Google Apps Device Policy
Google Apps Lookup
Google Chrome to Phone (1 request so far)
Google Analytics
Google Authenticator
Google Finance
All Google IME
Google IO 2012
Orkut
Schemer
If I receive 5 or more request for any of these apps I will try to include them
How do I install this?
Just like any script in CWM Recovery. Just select the zip and let Aroma guide you through the rest.
Can I install on my NOT Defy device?
Is my understanding that this script should work with no problems with Bravo and Milestone 2 devices. It should work with other devices as there's no device dependent scripting. Please note that this pack DOES NOT includes FaceLock as it is not supported for my device.
Currently known supported devices:
Defy
Is there anything else I should know?
YES, please be aware that whatever you choose NOT to install will be DELETED from your device (if you have that app installed obviously). This only applies for apps installed with gExperience.
Can I install on top of my full size gapps?
You can, but it can lead to unexpected results. One thing you have to understand is that the app name can have any name (it will not affect the name of the app when you install it). For example, I can name the YouTube apk as "XDAYT.APK". It will install normally and with no problems but there's no way for the script to know the name of the file of every app installed so this script will only install and uninstall apps installed by itself. You're probably better off installing this on a fresh ROM with no gapps installed.
Can I translate it to my language?
Sure you can! Please point your browser here: http://www.getlocalization.com/gEx/
Languages supported:
English (by me) | UP TO DATE
Spanish (by me with some help from edqu) | UP TO DATE
Polish (thanks to trurl3) | 0.2 beta
Portuguese (Brazil) (thanks to GustavoMartins1 / claudiobastos) | UP TO DATE
Hungarian (thanks to hunya) | UP TO DATE
Chinese (Taiwan) (thanks to wjh) | 0.2 beta
Can I send you my calibration_matrix data?
You don't need to do it anymore! Amarullz updated the Aroma Installer and now calibration is not required anymore!:victory:
I want to report a bug! What shall I do?
Try to give me as much information as possible (like gExperience version, device, apps selected, etc). Also you could save the log right after the script finishes. You will see a "Save Log" button on the bottom left hand side.
This is too much for me! Is there a lighter version?
Yes, please see this thread.

Yes please. I will add it to the installer so you don't have to calibrate Aroma installer every time! Just download calibration.zip and then install it via CWM like any other script (Press Power button on first dialog to select no). After finishing the new data will be written to calibration.zip. Send it to me and let me know which device are you using! YOUR SYSTEM WILL NOT BE MODIFIED. IT WILL ONLY GET YOUR CALIBRATION DATA AND FINISH

+1 Me follow instruction Rom now very pretty smooth bro.
All works fine for me atm, oposite that there is no option to move app 2 sd, in app manager.
Was it removed? As using third party app works.
Hard to guess whether miui will add native support for moving apps to sd or not for example today's release is the first one that allows to send files via bluetooth.

Hi,
Everything works fine on this ROM ? What about support for Redmi 3 Pro ? Do you plan to make it compatible with this device ?
Because MIUI is good but some "essential" features such as using only one finger to expand notifications are missing. And is there more available RAM than in MIUI ?
Thank you

If you don't like Chinese, maybe you shouldn't buy a Chinese phone made for the Chinese domestic market and install a Chinese custom ROM on it.

Wait isn't xiaomi.eu an official ROM? You're comparing apples and oranges if so. Right now you're asking for features(or lack thereof) that the developer has absolutely no obligation to oblige. So ask nicely, if he agrees, good, if he doesn't, either learn to live with it or move on. No need for any nasty retorts.
Wut! xiaomi.eu obviously unofficial.
I just requested him to look chinese language to be ommited and didn't find any answer in good way. Some one replied me to prove that I did mistake buying chines manufacturer phone and op supported him without posting a reliable reply wether he's able to do or not.
Don't interact always to irrelevant person or topic on where are you not called to do so.

This is a public forum. This forum was made for interaction. You are, however, right to say that you are irrelevant, especially in this topic since you've already had your reply. In case you can't read into subtleties, the answer to your "request" is no, he will not omit Chinese language. This is understandable because the OP's main language is probably Chinese, and he may lack the translated material required to accede to your request. I am effectively bilingual and would have offered to try help with that. But since you put it so nicely(as you also did in your request to the OP), thanks but no thanks. Stick to xiaomi.eu ROMs or make your own, if you are so capable.
OP as a long time XDA user I apologise for my fellow user's rudeness. He doesn't appear to understand that your efforts are unpaid for and probably a solo effort.

Hi all.
We have a fully functional ROM 26s with no fear of bricks, and no bootloader locks!!
First of all, my ROMs are totally open to anyone who has some knowledge of development, and can use my source are no problem at all. I'm just asking you to mention that I developed this source, but it's not a requirement either, I'm just saying that it seems ethical.
The changelog is next:
Re-compiled kernel to avoid bootloader lockdown
Cleaning of Chinese applications
Replaced the original browser with Chrome
Google Play Store and pre-installed Google Services
Contact and Google calendar synchronization
Google Keyboard
Rooted with Magisk
Busybox pre-installed
Small improvements and tweaks to improve performance
Please note that LeEco and its EUI layer is very sensitive to use Google Services. It only serves a specific version and must be placed when compiling the ROM in a specific directory. Therefore, the first thing to do when you enter Play Store is to "force" it to update the services. I use a trick, and that's installing the Linkedin application, which just when you run it needs the services and updates them
The QR LeEco code reader embeds it inside the browser, not in an external application. Therefore, unless we install an app for it we will not be able to read QR codes.
And finally, I have disabled the phone's security check feature, since there is no specific TWRP. So BEWARE AND MAKE SURE YOUR MOBILE IS AN X722 ELITE BEFORE INSTALLING GENESYS!!.
Installation Method:
I assume you have TWRP installed. I've used TWRP for X720 all the tests:
We enter TWRP by pressing the power button and simultaneously pressing the VOL+, until the RECOVERY screen appears.
We copied the ROM to the root of the phone.
We make wipe, the default one is enough.
We will install ourselves, select the ROM and give you to install.

No, only languages that stock ROM.
Nice development! Thanks guys!
This is a big step, thanks Steve
Is 26s an improvement over 20s in any discernable way? They both seem to behave similarly. Maybe 26s is better for battery life or heat output.
Thanks for the ROM, btw.
STEVE_MARS, please, could you make an archive for the firmware via the TWRP, which returns the stock browser and the QR scanner. I tried to recover these files from firmware 20S, but the browser closes with an error. I apologize for the bad English, this is not my native language.

Thanks amigo! Will def try, hope i'll not brick my phone, but if i do this i can still use pay apps and other apps?
My phone still needs to arrive but I guess it will be here soon, maybe by that time some people already managed to install android 7/8 on it.. ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/le...le-pro-3-elite-x722-lineage-os-t3660482/page6 )
Let's see what the future brings but again you did very great work! :good:
No vendor ROM passes SafetyNet natively, and I'm pretty sure this ROM doesn't either, even if you removed Magisk, busybox, etc. and unrooted completely. You may need to pass SafetyNet to use certain payment apps like Android Pay and some banking apps. Even some games check for SafetyNet. Thankfully, you can circumvent SafetyNet by using Magisk, and this ROM comes with it.
You're incredible.
Keep up the great work.
This device needs developers like you @STEVE_MARS
Hi Steve, Thanks for your work. I found only minor things (maybe is my personal flavor) : no network speed indicator in status bar. And also, stock browser have slide gesture for forward and backward which works same as safari on Iphone: it return to same page at same place: if you scroll to the middle of page and move to another you can revert to same place). I didn't find an alternative solution for chrome or firefox.
Thanks,
Andrei
