How do you install and use this theme? I installed it, but it does not show in my app drawer. What am I doing wrong?
Look in your app drawer..Then look for Theme Chooser and select. That should do it for you.
You can find it in Theme choser. It's greyed out. It will say its the wrong size, do it anyways.

I did, and it worked, but I still have the "bar" at the bottom of my screen. How can I get rid of that bar so that it really looks like ICS?

By "bar", I mean the bar that's in portrait mode. The one you have in phones and not tablets. The bar that has the phone icon on it.

Ate you talking about the dock? I don't know if you can turn that off in ADW, but I use ADW EX and you can turn it off with that. Other launchers may allow turning it off as well, but I can't name any.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
I think he's talking about the bar that the buttons themselves are in. That you're stuck with as far as I know. We can get our tablets close to looking like CM9, but CM7 still has limits.
But some more fun things...
I'm using SPB shell 3d with a live wallpaper and I'm still getting good use out of the battery.
Normally SPB as cool as it looks is a resource hog, but I still have lots of free ram with the tablet.
I am including a screenshot showing what I am talking about.

Look for an option in your launcher settings to hide the dock. I know ADW EX has that option. Not sure what you're using there.
Sent from my Nook Tablet using Tapatalk
In adw XL go to settings then themes and select no theme for dock bar.
To change the apps in the bar hold down on them, drag them out and add what you want.
Sent from my SGH-I897 using xda premium
For the dock bar go to Settings -> Adw launcher -> UI settings -> main dock style. Just select "none"
Yeah, that dock is kinda out of place on a tablet. Just so you can still access your app drawer, just long click on the screen, select launcher action, and pick open/close app drawer. I put one on every screen so that the app drawer is always accessible.
thx,ICS theme is pretty cooooolllllllll
I had to switch back to ADW, and now I got rid of the dock completely.
I have a couple of requests still: How do I add the apps drawer as the guy had on the top right of his NT?
Another thing I would love to do: make the soft home button actually display the apps, as of now, it only pulls the home screen.

My wish is that someone would make a Screen Lock App and maybe some has, if not I think this a great idea, of course.
1. It must show any missed income calls, messages and emails.
2. Time and weather.
3. Circle when long pressed to swipe outside of circle to open.
4. Customizable App selection; the ability to add a few apps around the circle to choose from, but if not chosen swipe outside of the circle to opens.
5. Select a random picture everytime you turn on your phone from a directory of your choice.

Yes, WidgetLocker is great. It allows to add homescreen widgets on it. Plus, it has many themes to launch apps (ICS, Sense, iPhone).
I'd like to add more: Install "Tesla Unread" to get missed call, SMS and Gmail counts.
Yeah, Widget Locker pretty much does all of that minus Live Picture wallpaper.

You'll have to install Go Launcher EX to use it. Just to tweak lock screen usability, changing home launcher is an overkill..
I'm gonna suggest, as others here have, Widget Locker. I've always been running widget locker since I first had an android phone and have never used anything else because it does the job perfectly. Obviously, it's best feature is the customization available for it. Every few days I'm changing the layout of my lockscreen, just so it's something new

Alright, let's see what everyone is sporting for their home screens!
Here is mine:
I like a clean look. I don't like having contacts scattered all over the screen hence the invisible folder under the contacts widget. I find organizing everything into folders where each screen is its own sort of "hub" keeps away from the traditional scattered grid-icon approach and allows one to better enjoy the wallpaper.
For the Lock Screen I am using:
Widget Locker https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDMsImNvbS50ZXNsYWNvaWxzdy53aWRnZXRsb2NrZXIiXQ..
The clock widget is from Ultimate Custom Widget https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.vineetsirohi.customwidget&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImluLnZpbmVldHNpcm9oaS5jdXN0b213aWRnZXQiXQ..
Using the Dark MotoBlur UCCW skin https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=darkmotoblur.uccwskin.dsaif&feature=search_result
Notifications are from Missed It! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.igecelabs.android.MissedIt&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsIm5ldC5pZ2VjZWxhYnMuYW5kcm9pZC5NaXNzZWRJdCJd
The red unlock slider is the "RedLineMod" available through the Widget Locker app.
The "LED On/Off" button is a custom made Minimalistic Text https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.devmil.minimaltext&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImRlLmRldm1pbC5taW5pbWFsdGV4dCJd widget, and activates the LED through TeslaLED
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.flashlight&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS50ZXNsYWNvaWxzdy5mbGFzaGxpZ2h0Il0.
Everything else on the lock screen is a widget made through Minimalistic Text.
Home Screen:
I am using NovaLauncher in place of the stock launcher https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS50ZXNsYWNvaWxzdy5sYXVuY2hlciJd
The main home screen with the clock, CPU usage, battery etc... is all made through Minimalistic Text. The phone / messaging etc.. icon is from the Minimal Text Theme icon pack https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=minimaltext.kyledesignedme.adwtheme&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsIm1pbmltYWx0ZXh0Lmt5bGVkZXNpZ25lZG1lLmFkd3RoZW1lIl0.
For the other screens I am stacking the Games, Contacts, Apps, and Media widgets made in Minimalistic Text on top of a black bar from Minimalistic Text (allow overlapping widgets in NovaLauncher settings)
The folder icons are replaced with custom made icons from Simple Text-Text Icon Creator https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.redphx.simpletext&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5yZWRwaHguc2ltcGxldGV4dCJd
Lastly, the invisible folder under the contacts widget is just a blank Simple Text icon.
The wallpaper I got from Zedge and modified, you can get it here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/8864209/2012-12-02%2023.01.27.jpg

Obviously, I like a lot of customization. Here's what I'm using, in order from left to right, top to bottom:
Launcher: beanstown106's 5x4 custom stock launcher: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2026233
SystemPanel end all tasks widget
AudioManager small widget (minimal transparent white skin)
Temp+CPU V2 widget
Extended Controls widget
Beautiful Widgets smaller home widget (curved-blue-contrast clock skin + SkullGray weather skin)
- I chose that skin because of the font it uses, transparency is at full so none of the blue shows up.
Pure Calendar widget (transparent skin, all text colors set to white)
Launch-X Pro (Minimalist white icon pack, manual icon selections for apps with no matching icon)
Desktop Visualizer (Used to create the shortcuts with custom icons and text for the phone/gmail/sms/browser buttons in the stock launcher, also using the Minimalist white skin)
Not visible but I'm also using Home2 Shortcut to restore double pressing home to open an app (I use it to open gmail)

If that doesn't work for you, drag the other app down to the app you want to replace and it'll make a folder on your dock. Then just remove the app you want gone. Either way, it's more steps than it should be but you'll get the result you want!

No. You dont drag it TO the drawer. You drag it FROM the drawer TO the taskbar. After, of course, dragging the icon you want to replace FROM the task bar TO the drawer.

It makes sense to me. What didnt make sense on my S2 was to first create a shortcut on a homescreen panel and then drag it to the bottom task bar. Thats two steps. With the One, its one step. From the drawer to the taskbar.
Thank You for these tips. I have been trying to figure this out. I will admit some of these things are strange coming from the Nexus 4 but I can deal with them for this awesome phone.

You might want to take a second look. It's not a global setting, but controlled by the app. So open the app that the widget is linked to and look in the settings menu for that app.
In particular, if you are using the default accuweather app, that is indeed where the setting resides. You may also want to recreate the widget to speed up the change i.e. don't expect that the change will always be reflected instantaneously.
.
OK thanks, I figured it's tied to a certain weather app. Will keep looking. Here is a pic of my lockscreen,

I am new and this may just be an old thread that has been resolved.
I went through the entire thread and didn't see a suitable reply.
On my newly acquired Galaxy 5S, I wanted to do the same; change from C to F.
First went through the Settings App and didn't see anything that would make the change.
Sometimes things are very simple. And this was something I probably over-thought.
What I did:
Unlocked the screen, and there's the "Weather App" loaded right on the main screen at the very top of the screen.
I tapped the "Weather App" box, which brought the "Weather App" full screen.
I then tapped the three vertical dots, flush right top on the screen. This brought up four options (black text on white background).
They are from top to bottom, 'Weather map', 'More', 'Settings' and 'Report wrong city name'.
Tap on "Settings":
Then, under "General", the first settings option is "Unit".
Tap "Unit", then tap the radio button "°F" to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit.
Unless you want to continue making additional changes, such as 'Refresh', 'Location' or 'Notifications...' you are done.
There is no "Save" button. The changes that have been made I believe take effect immediately.
All you have to do is back out and get back to the main screen by pressing the Home button to get back to business.
Hope that helps someone, someplace.
Best,
Robert
Hallelujah, I have figured it out. Press on the widget on the lock screen. Select change widget. Choose Accuweather (yes, it does not appear in your apps management list) A whole page opens up with the Accuweather forecast AND in the top right corner (at least on mine) (Note 4) you get the three dots indicating a menu. Press the dots and holy cow the settings for accuweather come up. And there you will see the temperature change option. Right at the top. Hope this helps.
