music streaming via telephone bluetooth protocol - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have an 2006 audi a6, apparently it's not possible to stream music via bluetooth without buying expensive hardware but it does function as a handsfree kit. I was wondering if there already exists or someone can create an app which can use the handsfree protocol and use it to stream music instead of just phone calls

Parrot ck3000 carkit + bluetooth gps receiver

Has anyone succeeded in a combination of these two with the Blue Angel device ?
If so, is the audio from the gps software also routed to your car stereo ? What bluetooth protocol would support this ? The parrot carkit supports both the Bluetooth Headset and Handsfree profile.
I think in the end, this would be the best future proof solution : buy a standard pda mount for the Blue Angel and share the parrot carkit between all bluetooth devices present in the car.
Any comments would be welcome !

Ok,
I did a little bit of bluetooth research : in order to have MP3 playback using bluetooth, the device must support the bluetooth A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution profile) profile. The A2DP profile was included in BT 1.2 spec.
I've read the thread on the HP MP3 headphones, and there they have a patch that will install the A2DP profile, though I'm not certain whether it is a HP specific implementation.
Some other interesting threads on this subject :

So I expect that sooner or later there is going to be a firmware upgrade or bluetooth stack upgrade from Broadcomm that includes this profile.
The next step would be the parrot : for what I know, it does not support the A2DP profile. I asked their sales department if they have any future products / firmware upgrades that will support this profile.
So once you enter your car, you would have to enable 3 (!) bluetooth connections :
Bluetooth headset profile -> mobile phone handsfree communication
Bluetooth A2DP profile -> regular audio coming from the device
Bluetooth Serial profile -> connection to gps
With all the bluetooth instabilities with the current protocol stack, I wonder if these three at the same time would ever be realistic. Does bluetooth support this kind of bandwith anyways ?
I have a Orange M2000 with the Parrott CK3300 (it has built in bluetooth GPS)- The bluetooth handsfree works fine as long as you update the handsfree kit to the latest firmware. Also you have to pair as a Windows CE device for it to connect whenever you get in the car.
The bluetooth GPS does work but I find I usually have to do a soft-reset and then launch tom tom which then connects to the GPS without a problem.
You do loose the GPS connection when you make or recieve a phone call, I'm not sure if this is a limitation of the handsfree kit or the M2000 though, I've only had if for 2 weeks so I'm still experimenting with it!

Bluetooth Carkit - also stereo music?

Is it possible to use a Bluetooth Carkit to play audio from the Vario in my car? If so, what should I look for in a carkit?
is this question so weird? I prefer not to buy something extra (like fm transmitter) for music.
It seems there aren't any yet. What you need is a car kit (and a PDA) that supports A2DP Bluetooth profile. I have not been able to find any references to such kit being available for sale anywhere. However, there is a car stereo from Pioneer that will support A2DP once released.
Take a look at this fairly comprehensive list of A2DP compliant devices - perhaps when someone develops the car kit you need, it will show up there.
Thanks. Now I know what to look for! I'll keep my eyes open.

Kenji776: if you can listen to calls over your bluetooth, have a go on my app VJVolubilis, using the -agon option.
It might work to open audio generally over the bluetooth connection, playing all sound out. Works on some devices, but not all.

i have a2dp in my car. I modified my HP bluetooth headphones and wired it directly to the aux input of my deck. I relocated the buttons to the front near the deck so now i have full control of the playback without touching or looking at my pda.
No this does NOT work with the wizard because i don't use it as my music player and i don't know if it supports a2dp profile but it works flawlessly with my hp rx3115. I also don't need a car holder for it because my pda just sits in my pocket or in the glove compartment. One feature i love about this is the fact that i can take out my rx3115 and control the music from 15ft outside the car.

[Q] Music from PC to Android and then over bluetooth headset!!!

It is kind of weird thing I am trying to do but I am sure it is not impossible. Just looking for ways if anybody has already tried before might save my time and afforts.
At work I've PC with internet but without bluetooth, and a Galaxy S3 without data plan! I want to play music (online music streaming sites) on my PC, have that music (from audio out jack on PC) to Galaxy S3 (hope it will go to mic in if I use male to male aux cable?) and then an App that sends that incoming music stream to bluetooth audio output of GS3 and then listen to it on my sony stereo bluetooth headset!
Sounds odd right? The thing is I can not buy & plug in bluetooth dongle to my work PC and I can not afford the data plan as of now.
So looking forward to all ideas!
Thanks.

[Q]: Bluetooth OBD2 & headset simultaneously

Hello everybody
Please apologize if this question might have been answered already. However, I haven't found a thread that dealing with this exact question.
I was wondering if anybody ever had a OBD2 Bluetooth dongle and headset connected at the same time. Is this possible?
I'm planning to use an OBD2 Bluetooth dongle together with Torque Pro to retrieve engine data on my HTC one. At the same time I don't want to sacrifice my car's Bluetooth headset, also connected to my HTC one.
So while displaying the engine details I still want to be able to answer calls using my headset.
Has anybody ever dealt with such a scenario? Did it work?
Thanks very much any hint and / or info!
[SOLVED] [Q]: Bluetooth OBD2 & headset simultaneously
To whoever it may concern, I was able to have both Bluetooth devices connected simultaneously, the car's hands-free and OBD2 dongle. Could even listen to music on my device through Bluetooth.
HTC ONE with Android 4.2.2
BMW Hands-Free Bluetooth integration
OBD2 Bluetooth dongle used with Torque Pro
Hope this helps people with similar concerns.

S9+ BT audio to Windows 10

I tried searching throughout the internet no answer. Is there any way to stream Bluetooth audio to Windows 10? It is paired, but can't get audio to stream.
Yes there is but not straight forward.
This protocol is used by softwares so you could stream audio.
One of the examples is Bluesoleil
There are other softwares for each bluetooth component in the machine.
Then only phone would recognize that the receiving end had the capability to stream audio.
