Hello awesome people!

You can sign up and get only 5GB here MOD EDIT
Or you can use my referral link to get 10GB of free storage: MOD EDIT
you can also get an extra 2GB by tweeting copy on your Twitter account but I don't use twitter
They have desktop clients for Windows, Mac and Linux.
Their Android app is very good, it has a nice ui and can automatically backup your photos to your account
MOD EDIT

If you are going to sign up for a new account with drop box, please do so through a referral link someone else posts. This will allow others to build larger drive space without paying for it. Those attaching referral links to this post, please remove your link once you have maxed out your free referral account expansion at 8GB.
My referral link: http://db.tt/gkcqDGa
(i just need a few more people and I will be maxed out.)
(in order for someone to get credit for your referral, you have to setup a new account, download the program to a new pc and register it. This is FREE for the first 2GB and up to an additional 8GB with referrals (10GB total). You get 250mb for each referral.)
Drop box creates a folder on your pc that automatically synchronizes with a virtual drive on Dropbox cloud server. Then this server file makes itself accessible through any location you log into the dropbox website or any mobile device that you have the app installed on. This is a very easy way to keep files ready on a cloud server or sideload apps. You can also store roms, backups from titanium backup and much more on this "virtual thumbdrive" type server. Another feature is sharing your account with friends. This allows your shared files to be accessed by anyone you specify. You can also make it to where they can now add or remove files from the shared folder. I personally use a folder to share family photos with my extended family. This way they can easily log in and download the images or they will automatically sync with their pc.
Thanks Albert, great idea, and great videos!

I'm only up to 2.5G so I've got room to grow
I have a question regarding installing an application from Dropbox. When you open Drobox on your NT, do you just double tap the apk file from Dropbox or do you have to actually move the file onto the NT and then open it?

I can't speak for the NT, as mine is still on its way, but on the NC, if I hold the selection I get the option to "open" the .apk. That then initiates the installer.
You do have the option to download, though, if you want to.

clicking the file will prompt you to open, or download. Requires an SD card
Dropbox is indispensable. If you don't already have it, here's my referral: http://db.tt/iYbt0DD
What a great idea! I still have a lot of referrals before I max out... any help will be GREATLY appreciated.
I definitely could not agree more.
Dropbox helps you sync your most important files to any computer/smartphone/tablet in the world. It truly is phenomenal. Dropbox can be used in combination with Titanium Backup to backup all of your apps to the cloud. You can access dropbox from your web browser. You can share folders with others (I personally find this the most helpful, I use it for classes constantly)
Here's my referral link if anyone is interested:

If you use a *.edu address, you get double referral credit. 500MB per referral instead of 256!
Here is mine:

Heres my link and it would be greatly helpful if some people use it as I need a bit more space

Always need some Dropbox referrals =)
My link is..

And I'm a long long way off from 8 gigs
Keep in mind if you are a student to register yourself as one, it's some extra steps but it really gives you more space!
I could use some more referrals, too. Appreciate it!

Dang, I could really use some referrals too, if anyone hasn't signed up yet (though I suspect just about everyone has): Mod edit

Ok I use dropbox for apps and I use Minus for everything else as I get 10gb free with Minus compared to the 2gb you get with dropbox and this is without referrals.

Dropbox or box.com account?

Which is better? Pros and cons on both?
Honestly the only different I see is I have 50 gigs on box and 2.5 on dropbox
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
Well for starters, Dropbox has a lower free storage space but you can upload files of any size to it. Box on the other hand has a 100MB upload limit per file.
The main reason I don't use Box, though I have 50 GB (and the 100 MB limit is decent enough for stuff like photos and music) is because there's no desktop client for the computer. It's all on phones and tablets only and the web interface. Dropbox has an awesome desktop client and it's just too easy to copy a file into the Dropbox folder on my computer and see it appear on my phone. With Box I'd have to upload it via the web interface :\
Those are the two main differences between the two, and quite big ones at that. Other stuff isn't that big a deal, but sharing files from Dropbox with their new direct link feature is too convenient.
In terms of pure functionality and convenience, Dropbox is the best cloud storage service right now. Apart from these, I use Windows Live Skydrive and Google Drive too, both of which have desktop clients similar to Dropbox. In order of usefulness (for me), I'd say Dropbox>Windows Live SkyDrive>Google Drive>Box.
You can get upto 6 GB of space in your Dropbox for free (not counting the 500 MB you get everytime someone uses your referral link to sign up). This only works in Windows - create a folder on a pen drive with a bunch of photos and images of around 3 GB size, then put it in your computer and wait for Autoplay to pop-up, choose 'Import photos to Dropbox' and let it upload all the photos. You'll get 3GB extra free space for using the camera upload feature (it increases space in steps of 500 MB so you need to wait till the entire 3GB uploads).
Also go to the 'Get free space!' link on top of the Dropbox website to get ~500 MB more space.
Hope this helped.

Cloud sync

Hello guys,
i have got a smartphone and a tablet android (lg optimus black-[ jelly bam 4.1 rom]- Nexus 7) and i wonder if I can syncronize my files with cloud storage.
I tried BOX,skydrive, dropbox, google drive but I never found (maybe because I'm noob) the feature of ICloud: if I put i file into a cloud box, it will automatically syncronize this element with all my devices.
Hope you can help me. Thank's for your time.

Try Jottacloud for Android. It works the same way like iCloud (I guess so) for syncing between Contacts/Media files/Photos/SMS/MMS across multiple devices.
If you register you'll get an initial 5GB of space, but if you use any referral links you get instant 10GB of space (Search for Jottacloud thread here at XDA, you can get many referral links posted by others) and when you use the android app, you'll get another 2GB extra.
