[Q] Setting up Google Play Private Channel - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm trying to publish an application to the Play store using a private channel. I registered as a developer but there is no option for enabling private channel under the domain settings>mobile tab. Likewise, there is also no option under 'Pricing and Distribution' in the developer console to make the application private as the google help suggests. Has anyone been successful at posting privately?

Hey,
I want to make my application private also, how do I do it?
About "private channel" as for what I've searched it's only for businesses etc. that have domain on google (Google Apps) [you can search for it: "google play private channel"]
So, somebody knows if it's possible to make a private app on google play, so only users with direct URL can download the app, but it won't be listed?
Thanks!

If you want to provide direct access to an apk you could post the link to a private CDN.
I finally came to the conclusion that private channel distribution only works on PAID Google domains. I have a Google mail for business account but its a grandfathered free account which doesn't support private channel distribution. I would have just upgraded BUT then only accounts in the domain can access the private channel. I'd have to assign a domain email account for every private customer we wanted to distribute software to which doesn't work for us. Sneaky Google.....

[Q] Linking to the Marketplace: Any search URL params that invoke Safe Search?

I'm developing a mobile site that links to generic Marketplace search results pages, but I want to avoid adult content as much as possible. The only valid search URL parameters that I can find are "q=<query>" and "q=pub:<publisher_name>". Is there any way to invoke Safe Search? Google's web Marketplace supports it, and the base URL structure is identical to the app's.
I've listed some examples in the URL below. They all work on Google's web site, but only the last example works on both the web site and the Marketplace app.
xyzzy.t15.org
EDIT: The Marketplace app has a setting for content filtering (in four levels, just like Safe Search). Is it possible that the app parses all externally-called URIs and replaces any Safe Search parameters with its own? After all, I shouldn't be able to override the app's settings. This activity would most-likely take place on the client side (it almost has to), so packet sniffing via a WiFi connection may yield some clues.

HERE(Free Send GPS Location via SMS or Email base google map link)

HERE is a free Send GPS Location Application.
You can use it to find your location, then lets you send a link with that location to a friend,
family member, business associate and so on.
When the intended recipient receives the link, they can click on it to open a dynamic map
that displays your location in real-time.
Rather than being yet another social network that you have to fill out a profile for,
invite friends, and all the other usual hassles,
It requires no registration or login.
senders and receivers can zoom in zoom out map,
and change map type, include roadmap satellite terrain hybrid.

how do you feel about it by others?
Nice and useful app. I like knowing that it doesn't require registration. Oh, and I've posted it to the XDA portal.

Is the In-app browser gone from Facebook app?

I am a web developer, and my boss always ask me how to redirect Android mobile phone user to mobile version of the site,
and we both know basically check the user string to see if it contains 'Mobile', but the webview In-app browser in Facebook always return some non-standard user agent string, ex:HTC M7 will not contains 'Mobile', so is hard to determine it's mobile / tablet.
And today I try to check the user agent string again on my phone, the in-app browser is gone, I didn't turn of in app settings, it missing the setting too, also my wife's phone is gone.
Can anyone can let me know is your Facebook app also missing the in-app browser now?
Maybe Facebook removed the feature/
Thanks.

How to launch default activity for any given uri/url

I am a kodi addon developer and I believe I have skills more than average when it comes to Python. I am the sole maintainer of the AliveGR addon, the most popular greek addon around the world.
On Android I still suck... I am able to call an android activity from within Kodi with very specific intent, data uri and package name, but how can I call the default app for twitter, facebook or even a web browser?
Example:
Code:
control.execute('StartAndroidActivity("package_name","android.intent.action.VIEW","","url")')
Where package_name could be 'com.google.chrome' and url could be 'facebook.com'

How do Whatsapp Tracking Apps work (existing on Google Play Store)

I have come accross multiple applications on the Play Store which are able to succesfully track the activity of a Whastapp Number.
I am a web developer myself having basic knowledge in WEB API's etc. I was really intrigued with the accuracy of the app called "WhastLog: online last seen" . My question is what do these applications use to track a number because there are no public API's existing as far as i know, and can i myself try to code and reproduce the results. Anyone who can point me in the right direction is appreciated. I have found a few open source projects on GitHub but most of them require QR code authentication.

Hey found anything new about this?
@nRaike
De-compile the app in question, then look inside its source code.
