So I've been using Verizon prl because its miles better 3g wise and yesterday I noticed my phone going a lot slower.. well low and behold there was a prl update. Anyone else get one too?

You going to get your contract cancelled. It doesn't show but technically you ate roaming. You have unlimited roaming but if you use enough. They will terminate it. My brother did that.

I am rooted. No matter what ROM I use, I can not use my phone while roaming. It did reprogram after root. I have updated profile and prl. Driving me crazy. Is this a call to Sprint?

The PRL is the Preferred Roaming List, it tells your phone which towers to connect to. You may need to return to stock if the ROM youre using has had the DM agent removed.
Ive read on another xda thead about this that its increasing peoples sprint cell signal. Cant remeber where i saw though.

That is possible but only in areas where Sprint has put up new towers since the. Last PRL update.

Ive seen a little bit of a difference. Prior to updating, i had 518 radios since they gave me the best data rates with the 21080 or whatever prl, with the new prl i switched back to the 530 radios. I had 1 bar getting 500kbs down/300kbs up. Ive noticed here in northern AL, even with 1bar its still.decent.

the "bars"are for voice connection and have no relation to data connection. ie you can have 0 bars and strong data and get fast speeds or full bars with crappy data

i was finally able to update today.
I am currently on the Verizon prl and am wanting to get my old one back. I tried updating prl but it still shows that I have the Verizon one.
Any suggestions?

If your currently on the 00001 prl and want to go back to sprint update your profile then update prl

What do you mean "doesn't work"? You get error 1012? If so, try over Wi-Fi.
From my Evo LTE, yup.
Now that you mention it, I went from 16010 to 16012 in NW Ohio.... Yay! eHRPD speeds around peak times seem much better. (If you live in this area you know that an eHRPD connection is about ten times slower than EVDO Rev-A.)

That's the same that I have. I did update my firmware though. New baseband, PRI, and build number. Did you update profile as well?
