Now one thing to remember : Some countries have still not got some features of Google play like music ..for those the first page might be a broken one ..but the app will work its just that u would just see the categories and not the app precaps as in other versions ..but if u go to apps and other sections it will work nicely . But no worries as the official roll-out will sought-out that issues for those countries which still has not got full play store functions like music .

Here is my themed Inverted Blue Play Store for the Galaxy Tab 10.1. Make a nadroid backup before you install then load the zip as you would any other in CWM! Enjoy and hit the thanks button if you like please! Credit to Uber for the base Inverted market, I just tweaked it with my particular blue!

I was wondering, will this inverted version auto-update and go back to the white version the next time Google updates Play?
Thank you! and unfortunatly yes when an apk gets loaded up as an update it does not have my or another themers png/xml changes so it goes back to its orignal state, but dont worry what we did on this version will be done again!

I know! It's a real pain in the neck, isn't it? I've found a few solutions (links below) that looked good, but on trying them out unfortunately none of them appear to work. It just seems that those Google Play Updates just can't be overriden - I even deleted 'Market Update' with Titanium backup.
What do you think? Should the tweaks in the linksbelow work?

Yes it is and I have tried to freeze market updater but sometimes you miss updates for other apps. Its a pain to theme it all again but if you save the images usually you can just copy and paste over the original pngs.

Hmm.. I just had a look at the bottom of the page and it looks like the downloads are for the Epic Touch 4G. I guess it's possible that the downloads won't work on all android phones..

Install link2sd or titanium backup, uninstall maps from system, reboot the phone and install maps from play store
This is one I use, from a JB GApp pack:

EDIT: Delete your current one from /system/apps first and reboot the phone. Then try installing it.

It Should work on Sense/Timescape UI (sony mobiles ) /CM/AOKP/AOSP
Firstly ; This guide in only for ARMv7.(NEO ,NEO V And others )

This is mikeyXDA latest version (ver7) ... Improved since ver6 Much quicker response in ver 7 and smooth
There is no need to change permissions of the file anymore ..it is by default what it should be
Before U start : U should have atleast 60 mb freespace on ur /system partition to get this working or 30 mb for online online only version
Here are my phone specs : Neo v , Xperia Pureness 11 , Using Solid Explorer (its the best you guys should check it out )
For ES file explorer users
Open Es file explorer >Settings >Check "Up to root" >Then check "root explorer">allow access when superuser asks>Check "mount file system"
press back u will be on ur Sd card
press back again and ur into the root of ur android
Heres what u need to get it working
1) ICS
2) Rooted Phone
3) CWM installed
4) Latest Gapps (if required )
5)You must be on a deodexed ROM : One way to find out is use a Root Explorer app and navigate to "/system/app" and check if an ".odex" extension file exists. If yes, the ROM is odex; otherwise, the ROM is Deodexed.
Lets start
Latest L4 - lenny_kano's version 4 : Its identical to the Mikey v& update, allows you to download your language files.

*Go back to google search by flashing the Google now to google search zip and then clear dalvik cache and cache, flash the zip*
For those who are having Reeko tubbs version or mikey XDA previous version installed :
First flash this through CWM http://www.4shared.com/zip/sFyQUr7c/Google_Now_to_Google_Search.html
This will clean up your google now aand bring back the google search SO you can start a fresh install and no errors are there
For fresh installers no need to install the above zip .you are by default on google search
Download Mikey XDA ver 7 from here : http://www.4shared.com/zip/eb5ydKHM/mikeyxda_v7_Offline.html ( This will work both online and offline )
OR

Boot into recovery
Clear cache and dalvik cache
Install Zip from SD card >Select the zip
Flash it through CWM
For confirmation that everything is fine :
Open ur file explorer >system >usr>srec(u will see two folders config and en-us )
tap and hold on the config folder >and the permission of the folder will be rwx-rx-rx (this will be for en-us also )
Now go to system>app > see velvet 2.apk or velvet.apk properties it will be set to rw-r-r
And Google now is on ur device
Troubleshooting
1.) The red mic screen won't display.
To fix this, press the normal mic within the Google Now app. While it is listening (after it beeps), press menu > refresh. Now you're at the red mic.
2.) Can't exit the Google Now app with the back button.
Use the Home button.
3.) Google Now Force Closes.
Make sure you have enough space on your /system partition before installing this. You need at least 60MB free for the Offline versions and 30MB free for the Online versions.
4) If u still cant get it installed :Try flashing the latest Gapps And then Flash Google now

Yup ..it only makes call in offline mode .it doesnt reach google servers ,,i think it is supposed to be like this only

Sometimes if it catches ur text command ..it does text ..i hv given a link for the commands go and check and i dont think it supports other languages other than English at the moment ..

Voice search not worki
Great thanks... Installed it and google now works fine..
but the voice search seeems to be havin a problem for me..
it is not able to complete the entire sentence .. It is able to understand all my words except for the last word i say..strange....
does any1 have a similar issue.. ?

It does work on pureness should work on any ICS roms
After I installed any Rom I tried to install google play apk but it didn't work ,and the Gapps usually have many apps I don't need to .
So is there any just google play to flash from recovery. Thanks :good:

better flash all gapps remove unwanted apps using any root explorer :good:
or try this google play 4.1.6 latest
From the gapp zip remove files which you don't need... Play store needs 3 files...phonesky framework-services and login service...if you use 4.2 it will need one more file I think...

You must install gapps so you have the Google services framework.
If you don't play won't work. You won't be able to add your Google account to the device.

try settings/apps/all. find google play and clear data,maybe you have to reboot.

simply download playstore apk from internet ond replace in system it mostly solves this problems (iv u have newest version use some older..)
