Hello, first of all i bought my galaxy s3 phone unbranded, sim free 2 days ago,it camed with 4.0.4 ice cream sandwich then i updated him trough kies to 4.1.2, and then i installed siyah kernel on him, then rooted, but i didn`t liked the kernel and i wanted to unroot him to go to warranty because i found a problem with touchlights...now i installed the UK firmware XXELLA, and with this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1710613
i unrooted it and reset the binary counter...now i face 3 problems...
1. when i boot into recovery mode it shows me an dead android with a red triangle
2. in recovery mode the csc its ( KOR )
3. i want to bring the phone back to 4.0.4 stock then update back to 4.1.2 trough kies...is it possible? Thanks ! i did a big mess up i know

bump...someone help plS?

3.shouldn't be a problem when fully stock with ROM and recovery

Can I brand a mobile phone with Kies and CSC file?

A friend told me I only needed the CSC file. Then I could do a firmware update OTA or thru Kies and it would change the firmware to an australian one? is this true?
The CSC file I found was in this thread.

Is it safe to only flash the CSC file? or should I root my phone first and do a Clockwork Mod backup of the rom to restore in case I almost brick the phone.
Thanks in advance, for your help guys and girls

Factory reset/full wipe. If that doesn't work, download the full XWKG1 firmware from Intratech's official firmware thread, and re-flash it.

Are you sure you flashed a full firmware and not just the kernel? Full firmware package would be around 200mb, and the kernel is considerably smaller, like 7mb.

[Q] Please ............ help

Hello,
1- sorry for my English
2- I have got galaxy GT - I9300 , I was able to connect to ( Samsung Kies ) and ( Odin3 )
3- I un-rooted the phone and upgraded it to Jellybean 4.2.2
4- Now I can't connect to both of ( Samsung Kies ) or ( Odin3 )
5- I installed different drives and they all failed
6- I still can see my phone connected to PC as portable media player ? it appears in the device manager ( GT - I9300 )
7- I need to know how to come back to the original firmware ( step by step )
8- am I supposed to uninstall kies and driver before starting ?
9- Finally , Does ( Samsung_Galaxy_S3_ToolKit_v7.0 ) concerned with original firmware or custom roms ?
thanks

There is no other way than odin or mobil odin , if you are on a custom rom it maybe rooted already so try installing mobile odin and flash with it.
Link for mobile odin : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1347899
EDIT : I forgot to add try uninstalling Kies and samsung USB drivers then install this drivers.rar it should work .

I usually find stock roms use more battery as custom roms sometimes have a lot of bloatware removed which would run in the background and consume ram, cpu time and could wake the device from deep sleep.
Ps: Fygaroo post that helped you would look even better by pressing thanks on it.

If you got the I9300 model with no sim lock- no problem.
Ps- notice that if your current build is below EMG4, than your file partition will be changed to EFSv2,
needs to be noticed if you'll try to go back to 4.1.2 afterwards

I think he can go back after flashing 4.3 ROM. I have done that.
Aashish, you can install any ROM as per your requirement if SIM is not locked with any SP.
But there is a chances of loosing IMEI. So please take backup. Search and download MG4 modem handy.

Yeah what you propose seems very straightforward BUT it would be advisable to do a full backup INCLUDING EFS, just check the EFS box in TWRP for instance, as it's not usually included in a backup by default.

Ah I get it now, in which case I would be tempted to go to an Indian 4.1.2 firmware through ODIN and the update through OTA if that's possible. That would reduce the chase of stuffing up your EFS by using an official Samsung update procedure.
