Here is the Custom rom i.e SENSE based Custom rom released for Star Mobile Astra:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2247296
Also Contains TWRP recovery.
Also make sure that there is proper kernel source code available for the device. As if there is no proper kernel source (which seems to be the case with alot of China based MTK devices. )They will be removed from the site.

All hello, such question, I have chuwi v88 tablet, there is an official insertion, and there is a kernel from oma rom, it is possible to put somehow a kernel third-party on it? Or only together with custom rom?
And still, give please references on tools for rom porting
Thanks
New kernel and tools
The newest versions of Oma's roms contain a new kernel and all of the tools necessary to flash. Once you have flashed, you may use the included flash tool to flash other kernels or other roms. It's all very straightforward. Please see this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2310818
Is there any custom ROM which can run on any android phone
because ROMS like cyanogenmod , carbon ROM , slim ROM , paranoid android , etc. works on specific models of phone.
CAN ANYBODY DEVELOP SUCH ROM FOR UNIVERSAL ANDROID MOBILES
No. ROMs include phone specific code and proprietary blobs. Plus there is an abundance of chipsets so to get a ROM to be universal, all devices would have to be identical. So, no, impossible.
I've got an old Lenovo S6000 which, like every other Mediatek device, has incomplete source code for the drivers and the kernel. As a small project, I would like to try and get Android Lollipop up and running to an extent where:
the system boots to the GUI;
the Wi-Fi works;
and the touchscreen works.
just to start off.
The device currently is rooted, with ClockworkMod recovery installed, and I can create Android back-ups of the system. Could I potentially take the kernel and the proprietary blobs and build them in to a CyanogenMod 12 update? Or would the kernel have to be patched to support the new features in Lollipop (the current OS running on the device is Android 4.2.2, and there have been no other working attempts to create a custom ROM for the device)?
Thanks,
George
Sir I want to know Mediatek 6589 3.4.5 kernel can be used with any custom lollipop ROM or it need development for doing that? what can be done to update device with latest android ROM, what is required for developing ROM and kernel? Do all Mediatek 6589 chipsets share same kernel? because sony has released the source code for 3.4.5 kernel but I don't know how to use it for development of new ROM with latest android, how cyanogen do that?

this is the link to xperia c 3.4.5 kernel source code. please check it sir.
currently do not have any custom ROM for my device. Did I wonder if installed custom ROM based processor? mt6735 processor.
You can Flash another Custom ROM via custom recovery as long as the ROM you want to try (first you need to port ir to your device) if for the dame chipset and same Kernel version
