Hello guyz..i own xperia p and i'm very happy with it. It looks amazing and its performance is great.
But recently xperia ion had a price drop and its available in around 21k. So i'm thinking to sell my P and buy Ion.
Should i do that? Or does Ion have bugs due to which its price are dropped....

Support? Youre saying we dnt get much support
Who on earth makes time to build us roms and kernals
Sent from my LT22i using xda app-developers app
1. This should be in Q&A
2. We are in the forum for novathor devices so we wouldn't know in much detail the bugs of the ion
3. As we are close to the jelly bean update you may be more concerned about what bugs that may or may not have

I'm not blaming devs here. Indirectly I'm blaming St Ericsson and their sick policies to not support devs
Sent from my Xperia Sola using xda app-developers app
You should keep the Xperia P (Ion is older then P i guess) and this is for the people that said that Xperia P have no support here, Wolfbreak and i and more peeps supporting it, but ya'll already know that and indeed this belongs in Q/A topic

It is all up to personal choice, both phones are from the sam time, Xperia ION was first released in the US for ATT then came the international version, the ION hardware is similar to the Xperia S. For me P looks better so it is up to you. If I were to change my phone I would look for a much newer phone than Ion, but this is just my personal opinion.
Sent from my LT22i using xda app-developers app
Bro Xperia P looks are way better than ION.
Since ION is an old phone, I would suggest buying a new phone rather than ION.
Sent from my LT22i using xda premium
Xperia ION is just a bigger xperia S with a sd slot, same hardware, same software and buttons register better.
Sent from my LT28h using xda app-developers app
So that means Ion is better than P
Sent from my LT22i using xda app-developers app
1. Xperia P have White Magic Technology due to which we cam see the display in sunlight easily, does Ion's display is clear in sunlight??
2. P have Mali-400 n Ion have adreno 220 , which one is better?
3. Howz the battery life of Ion?
Sent from my LT22i using xda app-developers app
Ion has one of Sony's best ever screens apparently-some say even better than the Z's it's a better phone than the P, it's high-end whereas the P is mid range. Also has better development I assume, the only advantage of P is its looks

Buttons on Xperia P rwspond quicker then on Ion, my friend have an Ion and yes he said your P respond faster with the touchy transparent bar paddies
But everyone have his own choise from which device he choose, respect that

Since ion is latest device than xpu it will get update faster, and hardware specs of ion are better

I don't like very much ion. tried a little I think it's too big and I prefer the construction of Xperia p. Il in term of usability are I think the same, that's my opinion. it's anyway a very good phone.

If you would like to have a smaller screen then its also a good choice. But I would recommend you to buy new Sony (not Sony Ericsson] Xperia because they have some new technology. I think one phone out of the three Xperia NXT series launched is priced around Xperia neo or ray and that phone has a screen size equivalent to ray. Neo still has a larger screen size.

Seems like cm10 is the only way we gonna taste jellybean!
http://www.gsmarena.com/2011_xperia...no_ics_for_optimus_2x_and_black-news-4570.php
Built them already (aosp & cm10), perfectly boot, very fast, only one more thing to solve before it become usable: graphic mapping, its kernel related

I can't wait to flash CM10 on Ray. Many other phones already got the preview version. I hope FXP team will release it soon.
cant wait either to test cm10 on my phone
@szl.kiev
you say "very fast", i wonder if its faster than 4.0.4? that would be awesome

Come on this is a no-brainer.. In my country nexus 4 sells for 550$ ..so I will obviously buy the Xperia Z.. No confusion...i will take the sexy, water proof, glass body beast please with HDR camera...

You asked the question on a Sony forum so you aren't going to get unbiased answers here. My opinion: if you can get Nezus 4 for 350 then do it. If Nexus 4 price is similar to Xperia Z then get Xperia Z.

My first android is my xu
And definately next will b a nexus 4
I can confirm this with narco test also
I'm going for either Xperia Z or ZL. Whichever I feel better to use with my hands.
Xperia Z

I would definetely go for the Xperia Z... great specs and best of all... water and dust proof

if you want to see reviews of xperia z vs other devices go to this link http://hightech-it.blogspot.mx/2013/01/sony-xperia-z-vs-galaxy-s3-droid-dna.html hope it helps
I've heard recently that the Xperia J (1Ghz single, 512MB Ram) will get 4.1.
So Jelly Bean may run on Sola and U which are more powerful but Sony told us that they wont get the Update.
Why does Sony something like this?
The thing is Xperia J hardware is not that good and it got free ram to run project butter
with sola and u a beast is there and it aint got free ram so thats why

Xperia Go has a lower resolution than the sola and u.
Go has a very low resolution and hence free ram
Let's actually compare and see once how much free ram these devices really have under identical conditions.
then the truth will come forward
With Xperia u
Normal use ihad
60-180mb free of ram normally..
60 mb whole playing high end game or heavy browsing.
So any with Xperia go can tell the truth..
But if we can use ivs on xu why not jb..
Both consume approximate same amount of ram...
