I've tried rooting my canvas 2 with the help of bin4ry's tool but the device isn't getting detected although I have installed the device drivers. Any solutions

Unrooting is not required. You can either use the SP Flash Tool method or you can flash an image in recovery. Flash tool method will need you to root again.
