I have LWW and using extended CM10 with provided kernel. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2048807
The only thing this ROM lacks is transparent statusbar. So i decided to make one.
I did everything from this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1814441
and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1890150
although i couldnt find tw_super_status_bar.xml, i found super_status_bar.xml and modified that and drawables.xml
But statusbar is still black! I also checked that permissions are set right, and during decompiling and recompiling there were no errors.
anyone have an idea what can i do to make transparent statusbar work? :/ I can upload finished SystemUI.apk file if you want. It works with no problems, but no transparent statusbar.
Have you made a transparent image to link to from your drawables.xml?
Sent from Myushi
Hmmm...sorry, you can't make transparent statusbar on CM10.....
CM team has remove some files that can make transparent statusbar....even if you edit the xml or replace the png, you will never get transparent statusbar....
it may works on CM7 or CM9 but i will never work on CM10 or CM10.1......

Nope, what is that? :/ I just modified color on those two files to be #00000000 which is transparent like it says in second guide.

But how does then Paranoid ROM has option to change the colour of status bar or even make it transparent? It has that option on both CM10 and newest CM10.1 based Paranoid version 3.15...?

Different systemUI and frameworks between CM and PA...PA also has Paranoid Preferences.apk to fully customize the systemUI while CM doesnt have any of it....
That is why PA is different than CM even if they are base on the same roms....

So what i did was I deodexed the cyanogenmod 7.0.3 Stable Rom(witch is normaly odexed).
For the ones who wanne know what deodexed/odexed is look here (for some a nice thing to know)
Its not that I made a whole new rom here, all credit goes to the cyanogenmod team of course. It just took me some time google-ing how to deodex correctly.
Simply put this allows more theming to be done so you can have a transparent status bar if you use a theme like this and this (these are 2 of many) and apply them with the theme chooser app
Downloads;
CM 7.0.3 Rom Deodexed, you can also extract the deodexed apps and frameworks and replace them in your rom (7.0.3)
Patch, to allow to have the transparent status bar
Undo Patch, if you decide to keep the deodexed rom and want to undo the patch
If you want google apps (market etc.), just flash the gapps found on cyanogenmod site
I recommend you nandroid backup first before you start flashing, as normal wipe factory,... in Clockworkmod
If there are and problems etc, let me know
Awesome, I'll do it during the weekend.
I tried but end up with no status bar. I think it got the whole process right, I wiped factory first, then flashed the rom and then the patch.

hmm strange, didnt happen to me
did you flashed the rom and then directly flashed the patch, or did you booted up the rom first then went to recovery and flashed patch?
if not try flashing rom, boot up rom then flash patch
I got the status bar doing what you said, but transparency doesnt seem to work on my homescreens. I only have transparency when i go into apps, is this how it should work?
use this to setup your background, then you will have homescreen transparent statusbar

It won't work on the RC. I can give you a patch for nightly 153 if you like (it came out after the RC). I know it's a nightly, but I've been using it with no problems for weeks.

It's a good guide for theming a lot of things, making the status bar transparent is one of them
As I have seen in this post ->http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1360889, you may are having problems with this awseome ROM. These are some of the solutions
TO ENABLE DT A2SD IN CM 7.2:
Download A2SD script
Put flashable .zip in your SD card
Flash it (mount /system)
Once done flashing, enter market and download A2SD gui
TO APPLY ICS THEME (sholudn't make Gmail, YouTube and other Google Apps crash) (notification bar background becomes transparent)
Just instal ICS theme apk for Theme Selector (original thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1313722)
TO ENABLE ICS TRANSITION
Follow the instructions of this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1352184 (I followed the patcher one, which by the way, also works (more or less) in Custom Samsung ROMs)
If i helped you, say thanks... if not, well... doesn't matter, I have the intention anyway

That one? Nope, I'm sorry, I haven't tried, and don't know how to make it transparent. I think it's possible editing Systemui.apk, but that will be a bit hard. I only know how to make the background of notification bar (when pulled down) transparent.

Simple. Change the indicator color in CM settings > Interface > Notification power widget > Indicator color
【GUIDE】 UOT online kitchen: long story short | your custom theme made in 10 minutes
to build custom theme:
in http://uot.dakra.lt/ goto "File upload" menu
upload below settings.uot file (unzip it), if desired (preset for SGY)
for SGY, you must upload 3 files (use e.g. MyPhoneExplorer to transfer):
/system/framework/framework-res.apk
/system/framework/twframework-res.apk
/system/app/SystemUI.apk
remember, SGY is a touchWiz phone.
then choose your options,
download your own settings.uot file for later rework (last chance),
in tab summary: "submit your work to kitchen",
wait 3 minutes and download in "pick up page" your UOT***.zip file to flash with CWM.
tested for SGY :flawless, Feb. 2012 (well ... almost. could not get new screensaver/lockscreen operational. any hint ? )
does this works on stock rom?
Yes it does. Simply upload the files.
Tried and couldn't get transparent status bar to work. I tried it on stock rom. Will it work with custom rom?

Dude..we r talking about the transparency.I thought Silvane was unable to change the effect of status bar because of stock SystemUI that has no smali files. The transparent is dependent with our rom.The dude at "Show your Screen" thread is using creed rom and i guess only creed and bazzrom can support tht.Sorry for the inconvenient Silvane.
Hmm okay I'll try Creed's again later. Good thing I haven't restored all my apps yet. XD

Maybe decompile both SystemUI.apk (Statusbar) and replace the stock ones with the ones from Jelly Blast. Then compile again. It should work, shouldn't it?
